Advising me on HMO rules and current legislation , to finding me a lovely family to rent my property. Communication throughout was great , even a follow up call recently to check everything was ok . Fantastic service! I listed my property with Hughes and Son Estate agents last year after having listed it with two other estate agents. Sharron was fantastic and attentive. The photos and videos of the property were fantastic, they really captured how lovely it was. The property sold within a very short period of time, we encountered some issues with the first buyer and the property which resulted in it being relisted. Sharon worked non stop to find a new buyer which she did on the first set of viewings after it had been relisted. The property completed very quickly and Sharon kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. I can not tell you how good and how much I recommend Hughes and Son. I actually referred them to a colleague who also sold through them and neighbours at my former property asked about who I sold with and I passed the details onto them to. Not only is the office beautiful, but they take pride in making sure that the property advertisement and service given are second to none.

I invited Hughes and Son round in late July as one of three agents to value my late aunt's flat which we were looking to sell. Their valuation was in-line with the other two agents, but they already had an interested buyer lined up who was looking for that type of property. And 7 weeks later we've completed! I have tried so many letting agencies in and across Coventry. I have never received the kind of help and excellent customer service I received from Hughes and Son Estate. They are really pacesetters. Having recently gone through renting issues with many letting agents, especially with a particular letting agent in Smethwick High Street this December. I was almost giving up as the Xmas was drawing near. Whilst looking on internet for an apartment to rent this December, I came across Hughes & Son Estate for the first time and they were able to sort my accommodation request. Isn't that wonderful? Felizity took it upon herself to show me other housing options and at the end she found me a good place yesterday. I have never experienced this kind of service before from any letting agent. Felizity is really wonderful and lovely person. Sharon is another star with friendly and welcoming approach. She made me feel very comfortable in their office and offered me a cup of tea. She went extra mile to make sure I got home safely. They were both professional, non-judgemental and customer centric in their dealings with me. Worst estate agent I have ever come across! The management fee is cheap for a reason .. there are much better high street agents who will price match their fees and will due a lot more due diligence before finding a tenant and will also take much more care for the management service. Their tenant has completely wrecked my property and upon investigating further it’s because the quarterly checks were not carried out. They could not provide me with proof of any due diligence which was carried out!

Attempted to purchase a property through Hughes & Son estate agent. Price agreed, but after surveys found substantial issues with the property. During renegotiation after 2 builders had been to quote for repairs, without my knowledge, other offers had been received, and accepted! This cost us financially and caused the chain to collapse, as our buyers lost confidence. If you want an agent who allows gazumping, and has no regard for the "standards" which they supposedly agree to follow by being a member of the property Ombudsman, then be very aware of the position you could find yourself in, by purchasing a property being listed by Hughes & Son Estates.

My property has suffered severe damage and I have lost out on significant rent, not to mention incurring legal fees. These are all a direct result of Hughes and Sons not performing the management agreement properly - bad vetting of the tenant, not keeping the correct paperwork when taking on the tenant, then cancelling the management contract without adhering to the two month cancel period, leaving me to deal with their mistakes. Won't even respond to my complaint.
