TrustpilotElle Seaby - Great Property Manager
We've been with Hamptons for a while, and they've always provided a great service. Our property manager Elle Seaby is a superstar. She is extremely patient, knowledgeable and is always happy to help. We previously had some issues and challenges with tenants, and she was so helpful and professional throughout. We don't worry about our portfolio with her as they're in good hands!

TrustpilotNOT RECOMMENDED
NOT RECOMMENDED. These people will charge you a fortune in management fees for absolutely nothing. I have had to do all the emailing and sorting out from overseas despite paying for a full management service. I have complained but been ignored. I have asked for my complaint to go into the formal complaints procedure but I am still ignored. Classic attitude of companies these days. They just ignore your complaint. No customer service at all.

TrustpilotSuperstar Agents!
I honestly can not recommend Hamptons Godalming highly enough. From start to finish they have been professional, wonderfully helpful, supportive and incredibly kind. Their advice was spot on throughout the marketing and eventual sale of my late father’s house and I cannot thank them enough. Big up Jake and Jason, who was fantastic and basically made this all happen. Thank you to Lyn and Sue too! Top job! Especially navigating it home during a pandemic and lockdown!

TrustpilotI would leave zero stars if I could
I would leave zero stars if I could. Had my property on the market for 8 weeks with them, 3 of which were over the summer holiday. They undervalued initially then asked me twice to reduce the price despite an identical house selling for £75k more than they had valued mine at. Did nothing to pro actively market and seemed interested only in the commission they wanted to make. Then sent me an email telling me as I would not reduce the price any further they were withdrawing their services. Just abhorrent behaviour. DO NOT USE.

I caution anyone planning to buy/sell a property with Hamptons Chelsea, especially using Nick Hubner, Senior Head of Sales Chelsea after Mr Hubner sold me a flat without running water in the kitchen and refused to help in sorting problem. In his own words: 'I can only sympathise. I wouldn't have a clue'. To which I fully agree. Big talker, no action, arms 'length, unhelpful, grab the money and run, is how I would describe Mr Hubner. Terrible experience. Great shame.

TrustpilotIncompetent Staff with no concern to service delivery
I am not one to usually complain in a public forum, unless the experience has been so horrendous that it warrants such action. We are owners of properties that used Hamptons for a few years on two units within our portfolio. They used to be great! However, at the latest renewal, I have never experienced such incompetence from what should be a "professional estate agent."Mentioned to them that our colleague who usually handled renewals was on maternity leave (on two occasions) and to update their system with an alternate email address for communications and renewals. Confirmed this is done on both occasions and yet when it comes to sending documents, they continue to send to the colleague on maternity leave. To makes this worse the documents are protected so no-one else but the recipient can view. How difficult can it be, to update a system with a new contact detail?Emails never get responded to or take about 1-2 weeks. When they do come, apologies are frivolous with no real action on resolving but rather just a generic "sorry".In the end we had to inconvenience our colleague (who had just given birth) to access her emails and authorise a renewal as waiting for Hamptons would have either never happened or would have delayed our renewal beyond expiry. Absolutely shocking service delivery, and to date no apology instead they send an invoice for their fees! Would definitely not recommend this agency to anyone who is looking for a professional firm that values clients small or big with respectable service. Many better options available else where with better fee structures too. I hope this helps anyone else who is considering a good estate agent.

GoogleFrom the moment we enlisted our house with Hamptons, Cirencester, we were beyond pleased with the service we received. We live in the States and needed a reliable, professional estate agent to keep us in the loop at every stage of the sale ~ James was exceptional at this, as was every member of the team. We had total faith in Hamptons selling our property, and they did just that ~ both timely and smoothly. We would use Hamptons again and again ~ we cannot thank them enough for their outstanding service ~ it was 5+ stars.

We recently bought a house through Hamptons Godalming and the service was wonderful. From the viewings with Pippa, to all the support from Jason to get everything finalised in under 10 weeks!! Fab team all around and would certainly recommend and use again - though maybe not for a while! We love our new home!! Thank you Jason, and all the team at Hamptons Godalming

TrustpilotThe house next door to us in Henley
The house next door to us in Henley - on - Thames is rented out on behalf of the landlords by Hamptons. At the end of June 2018 I telephoned their contact number to request that they arrange for someone come around and chop down some bushes that are encroaching on our garage roof which need fixing. I was told no problem this would be done within a fortnight. Here we are the first week in September and after a number of polite phone calls and a visit to the local office we are still waiting. At some point in the near future we may put our house up for sale, guess who won't be getting the business.

TrustpilotInefficient and opportunistic
Hamptons has been very punctual and helpful when it comes to sign contracts and seal the deal for renting apartments. We had a terrible experience, after that, as the agents wouldn’t respond to us in an efficient manner when it comes to fix things at the start of the tenancy. After 3 weeks we still believe that the flat we moved in to wasn’t sufficiently cleaned properly, which was promised at the start of the tenancy and no one seems helpful in fixing this issue. We are in disbelief of the inefficiency of the office in Paddington. When it comes to send money or finish contracts they are super responsive, however after, we had the worst customer experience I have ever seen . The day of our move in, WE had to contact them in order to get keys for the new flat, and never received any help after that. At this time, after 3 weeks of moving in, we still haven’t received any help to solve minor issues.

TrustpilotExceptional Service and Support from Hamptons
My experience with Hamptons has been positive, largely due to the exceptional assistance provided by Ms. April Keane. When I found myself locked out after forgetting my keys inside the house, she went above and beyond to help me. Instead of having to call a costly locksmith, Ms. Keane promptly arranged for a spare key, saving me both time and money. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to resolve the situation efficiently were greatly appreciated. Hamptons is clearly committed to providing excellent customer service, and Ms. Keane’s efforts reflect the company’s dedication to client satisfaction.

TrustpilotHamptons letting service for landlords…
Hamptons letting service for landlords not fit for purpose. Hamptons managed my property in Stratford upon Avon in a very unprofessional way. They have very poor communication and mis managed the property while still charging very high fees. After requesting a section 21 to be sent to my tenants at the end of their contract, Hamptons filled out the form incorrectly. Do not trust them to manage your property. Sorting out the mess and mistakes they made has cost me time, money and stress. JUST read response from Hamptons and have already contacted customer care to make an official complaint.

TrustpilotNOT ALL HEROS WEAR CAPES
Firstly I think it’s important to establish that in my 42 years of life; I have never, ever, written a complaint review of any sort. As I generally can’t be bothered; and let’s face it - what’s really going to be done about it anyway. Who cares what a “Karen” really thinks. However, if this changes just one persons mind about a Hamptons letting, then I will die safe in the knowledge that I have fulfilled my duty to protect and serve. After renting the flat from Hamptons (which in itself was attritional, but not enough for me to go into detail about) my partner and I have been inundated with problem after problem with the flat itself. Everything from the flat being dirty when moving in, to broken beds not fit to use, and a shower leak that still isn’t fixed 12 months later. Leading to water seeping into the entire flat, which has developed mould in the carpets, walls, doors and skirting. Enter into the fray (stage right) the Hamptons Property Management team. A team so devoid of ability to coordinate, communicate or deliver anything of substance; I honestly thought at various points a friend was pranking me. At times it feels as if this team is intentionally useless. Like a social experiment to test the patience of the nation. In 10 months we have had 3 different property managers ranging in ability from; useless to pathetic. Under the useless stewardship of Alex Ferrin who categorically told me that the landlords were more important than the tenants; we have had Grace, Donna and now Minneaux as property managers that do nothing to help or support residents with genuine problems. Not cosmetic issues like chipped paint…but broken, useless essentials like a shower!Several of these issues are still not fixed at the time of writing this….12 months after reporting them. Shower and Bed principally. We have had to contact a solicitor to pursue our landlord and Hamptons for compensation on these matters. We continued paying the rent to maintain the high ground when this inevitably reaches court to satisfy the situation. But it is through massively gritted teeth. Estate agents can get a bad name. But Hamptons have earned it.

TrustpilotHow Hamptons totally left us high and dry
we had arranged to move in to a new property with Hamptons, everything was going fine. the last minute the current tenants of the property we had hoped to move in to fell through, it happens. how ever at that point baring in mind we had signed the tenancy agreement, also considering we had given our notice on our current property. the landlord/ Hamptons should have been liable to sort us out accommodation in that situation. Hamptons came back with a statement saying, they had signed but not dated the contract and therefore were not obligated to help at all. this is the shadiest thing ive ever witnessed. during that phase, where you have given notice and signed new contract, its imperative you are protected by the tenancy contract for situations just like this. if you are going to do business with Hamptons, triple check everything. we had a week to find a new property, we ended up somewhere far less than ideal. I would sincerely recommend not doing business with Hamptons

TrustpilotExcellent service
We had been with Hamptons for more than 2 years and I would like to send my great appreciation for their exceptional service. Especially to Ms Harleigh Doherty who had been our property manager. She was always prompt with just about everything that we had concerned about. Had the property was not put on sale, we will definitely be staying and wouldn’t think of moving out. Thank you so much for all the help and outstanding service!

Trustpilotwe've got very negative experience as tenants, the agent was lying to us, causing us quite a lot of anxiety.
TLDR: we've got very negative experience as tenants, the agent was lying to us, causing us quite a lot of anxiety. After reference check, and accepted offer, the landlords kept delaying signing the contract for over 3 weeks. The agent (Evelyn Aragundi) communicated to us that there are no reasons for the delay, and motivated the delay with very interesting arguments "so we have everything confirmed", "they are really relaxed personalities", "they're currently travelling,", "they're very busy people", "there's no reason for this as such, I mean it's not like they're unsure". After some very involved week, we've got an email from a manager (James White) of the agent saying that "date was a bit vague until a more conclusive timeframe was confirmed".That clearly demonstrated that agent lied to us, stating that "so we have everything confirmed" while it was not. We wont make an offer in the first place, if we knew that. Worst of all, during the process we've seen no intention to clearly comunicate situation to us, and no intention to find a solution that would work for both parties.

TrustpilotDISGUSTING
In my opinion, Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross branches threw mud at the wall with our viewings and evidently failed to familiarise themselves with basic details of our property. I discussed terminating contracts with the GX manager, Andrew Riley, (below) after just a few weeks. In my opinion, he spoke inappropriately of the Beaconsfield branch management and I felt he begged me to move to his branch in GX. I found their comments to be racist and sexist. They searched for a key in our house that they had not been given and left the external door unlocked with this key in. They seemed somewhat inconvenienced that I held matters briefly whilst a my Dad was ill and I felt aggressively pursued whilst grieving. I raised a formal complaint to the GX manager (below) branch which he failed to acknowledge directly and passed to HQ. The response I felt was unreasonable and there was no offer to appeal the decision. On calling HQ 'customer care' I was told that was the end of the line and would not offer a name for appeal to be addressed to. They provided my personal data to a debt collector without even having sent an invoice? For me, it was an unnecessary and painful experience and it seems they are ruthlessly numb to recognise the issues. Without recognition there can be not acceptance or improvements. Just wanted to share my opinion and hopefully prevent anyone else feeling the way I felt from my Hamptons experience.
