We used L&N’s valuation services for a house sale. But it appears they rely on undervaluing properties and putting down other estate agents in order to make themselves appear more successful, whilst making the most of a flat rate selling fee. I was hoping to use them as a local estate agent, and Louis was clearly very knowledgeable about the housing market in the area, but came on very strong that he/they thought they knew better than all other agents and vendors, which made things uncomfortable at times. We had a very low valuation from them (up to 40k difference) and despite trying to discuss by sending personal research, comparisons etc we were essentially told ‘everyone else is wrong and your research isn’t as good as mine’. It soon became very apparent that the tactic was to under value houses in order to get a quick / high sale success rate at the sellers expense, because they use their flat selling fee and so lose nothing from a low sale price. We went with another agent at a significantly higher, whilst still appropriate price, had an influx of viewings and a quick sale. Differences in opinions are understandable, but this uncomfortable approach to things left a bitter taste which could have cost us 10’s of thousands of £

I was busy settling into our new house, but always wanted to come back and leave a review- the least I could do to say THANK YOU to the wonderful service we received from Mark himself, Alex and Sam last year. We were the seller and it was not straightforward as our sale collapsed twice. Nevertheless Mark and team were very resilient, quick to take actions and did brilliant coordination with our buyer and seller of our new house. And they sold it above asking price too. I was the buyer and Leese and Nagle were representing the sellers. Clearly their interest was that of the sellers as they were their clients. However, from our perspective as the buyers, Leese and Nagle were clear with consistent and regular communications throughout the process, they were transparent and realistic as we went through the usual challenges of buying a house in this surreal market. There was a real drive to progress the outcome to exchange which suited us, so I was fine with Leese and Nagle following this up regularly. Overall I feel they made what is normally a stressful experience (We’ve done this a few times before) a little less stressful. I’d happily recommend them as a buyer, and if I sell in the future I’d certainly be looking them up! Thanks for your support Sam and Mark.

We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Right from the word go we were given expert, pragmatic and honest advice without agenda or pressure from Mark Leese himself. I dealt with Mark, Chris and Georgina during the sale of a property and although it was a long process, through no fault of theirs, they talked me through matters and kept things on track. The property was tenanted until the last month of the sale and they went above and beyond liaising with the tenants and letting agents, going to meet the tenants and talking them through the process as well. This made a huge difference I believe to the tenants staying in the property for as long as they did during viewings and the eventual sale. The buying and selling of property is one of the top most stressful things we do and having agents who go out of their way to make the process as easy as it can be is essential, this is what L&N do. I do not live in Bristol and because of these agents I did not even have to make the long journey to deal with anything, they sorted everything for me, again, in my opinion, something which makes them stand out from other agents. The professionalism of the company, the directors and staff are the reason I have given this review 5 stars. If you are reading this review it means you are looking for an agent in Bristol. I bought my property through Leese & Nagle three years ago and the service was great then, so I didn’t hesitate to contact them this year when I decided to sell. The service from Chris has been brilliant from day one - not only did I feel as though he really valued the love I had put into my home, but he was also very knowledgeable about the current market and the clients that would be interested in my flat specifically. Having bought through Leese & Nagle several years ago, we had no reservations in inviting them to sell our property when the time came. They have proved themselves to be extremely professional with an extensive knowledge the Bristol property market. The particulars they prepared for our property were enhanced no end by the professionally taken photographs. Rather than relying solely on online listing websites to promote the property, they secured a good number of viewings directly from their own list of proceedable buyers. Following viewings, we were always provided with succinct and prompt feedback. Unsurprisingly, given their efforts, we were under offer very quickly and from that point our case was passed to Samantha who provided a single point of contact for the sales progression. Samantha worked diligently with the respective solicitors, and buyers, to ensure matters were always being actively moved forward which was invaluable.
