I can’t not recommend Lindsay Maclean of Gibson Kerr enough - for what has been a very difficult and demanding probate situation - from dealing with forgeries, injunctions and other solicitors firms pure negligence, Lindsay has kept a clear head and provided excellent advise and a can do attitude and always with a friendly manner - I had 100% percent confidence in her and her abilities - She went above and beyond during this difficult time. Thank you Lindsay and the team at Gibson Kerr

I live abroad so did some research as had bad dealings with another lawyer in Edinburgh. Gibson Kerr have been by my side (over the miles) for 1½ years from making a will, taking a relation to court and selling property. The team work well together, keep you informed, friendly and are available to listen and advise. Without a doubt would use them again and therefore recommend them. A Vradi, Corfu,Greece

Gibson Kerr Property Law Solicitors helped my parents with their recent house sale and purchase. It wasn't a simple transaction due to one property being held by an inheritance estate and so carefully monitored timings and a thorough understand of legal timelines were crucial. The team team did brilliantly and we’re extremely happy with the service from Mira, Donald and Nikki, they are a credit to Gibson Kerr.

I hired law firm Gibsonkerr to help …

I hired law firm Gibsonkerr to help me deal with disability discrimination by Aberdeen University, as I have Asperger Syndrome. We won the case, but to my shock, the law firm made next to no effort, to get the university to reimburse me the £25000, i got charged in legal fees. Half that 25,000, had been saved to pay for the MSc, over 2.5 years of working as Kitchen Porter.. Instead I lost it to lawiers, due to arrogant ignorant postgrad admissions at the university.. Then even worse, the law firm has tried to bully me, by dragging me through the sherriff court last Autumn, to force me to .cough up £8000, even though they made a written agreement with me, that I'd pay the 8000 off in £50 a month installments for 13 years or until my income improves. A sherriff office I spoke to this Autumn, just advised me to keep maying the £50 month installments. Gibsonkerr or at least Fiona Rasmusan, who is one of their directors, is an unprofessional greedy lazy money grabber. and an abuser of an adult with Asperger. I have spent more than 20 years since I got diagnosed with Asperger and got my 2nd degree, a Masters in Applied Biomolecular Technology. struggling to find work I have spent most of this time working part time either in menial jobs or as a science tutor at home. Good serive but hidden fees!

Gibson Kerr supported me in completing a simplified divorce with my then wife. All communication was prompt and professional with fees quoted and paid for ahead of services completed. Having paid for the simplified divorce process (on top of fees for calls etc..) I was surprised to recieve a bill of nearly £1,000 for extras on the completion of the process (which was not complicated). It turned out that every email I recieved was being billed, every minute of every phone call (125+VAT for a 13minute phone call) etc... I would have hoped that it was made clear to me that the £745 I had pre-paid for the simplified divorce actually only covered the filling out of a handful of forms. In summary - professional service but be prepared to be charged for anything and everything!

Gibson Kerr Family Law Solicitors in Edinburgh helped me with establishing my parental rights and responsibilities. Fiona helped me become more involved in my son’s life. It means very much to me being involved in my son’s education and upbringing. I will continue to do right by my son, to pursue legal rights and responsibilities and to raise him as best I can. The world needs more people like Fiona and the guys at Shared Parenting Scotland.

Do not recommend. Complete disappointment.

Disappointed with the service provided and the response to our enquiries. Would rate 0 star if possible based on our experience. Would not recommend under any circumstances. Only if you want a lack of communication and transparency, and a large bill at the end.
