GoogleWe recently purchased a house and Surrey Nest were the acting estate agents. I have to say after months of viewing houses, the service we received from Adam was unlike any we had experienced with a lot of the larger estate agents. The care and detail they gave when showing us around our now new home, and the level of attention they gave to us as buyers was outstanding. My advice - if you are thinking of selling your home and choosing between this family run business, and a larger firm that lacks detail and personalisation - I would recommend to pick Surrey Nest every time! Everything was managed so smoothly by the amazing Adam and Deepie. Deepie has an expert eye for helping to prepare properties for photographs and viewings and has the warmest and kindest manner. Adam, who is so passionate and friendly, takes the time to get to know his clients and nothing is ever too much trouble for him. His expertise are phenomenal and knowledge of the local area exceeds locals who have lived in the area over thirty years. They are the dream team and having previously sold houses with other estate agents, we found this experience of selling, quicker, personalised and supportive. We were always grateful that they listened to us and ensured there was clear communication between ourselves and our buyer, which we found really reassuring.

Every now and then in life, you need to move house. Whilst choosing the right house is important, it’s equally just as important to choose the right agent. With Surrey Nest, you’re in safe hands.
We recently sold our house, and Adam and Deepie - the co-founders of Surrey Nest - were very much the glue that kept the whole process together and made it run smoothly.
So, what makes a good agent? From our experience, there are several vital ingredients: first, they have to be able to convince you (whether it’s true or not) that they love your home. If they don’t seem impressed or they can’t see the immediate strengths of your home, it’s unlikely they will be able to get others to love it or see it’s potential; second, they have to take an interest in you, your home and the surrounding community. The more information they have to hand, the better they are able to help you and your prospective buyer; third, they have to be experienced in showing people around homes and affording them the time they deserve. Rather than sending in less experienced junior staff, we believe it’s much safer to leave it in the hands of experts who know you and your home to ensure the buyers are a good fit; fourth, they need to know when to ‘push and pull’ in their negotiations. Yes, they need to be able to sell, but no one wins from a hard sale. It’s far more important that everyone wins. Therefore, they also need the softer skills; they need to be able to listen, to challenge when necessary, and be guided by clear values: integrity and transparency; fifth, they need signature strengths. There are lots of agents out there. What makes them different? What makes them stand out? What do they stand for? What do they not stand for?; and finally they need something that’s hard to put a finger on; they just have it, whatever ‘it’ is.
From our experience of working with Adam and Deepie, they have all these things and more; they have ‘it’. We’ve become friends through the whole process, and if we ever need to sell or buy a home again - we know who to call.
