Everything was very smooth from the viewing of the house to the actual renting the property.The viewing of the house was done by George who I must say was very friendly ,helpful and understanding and answered all our plenty of questions with patience, without rushing anything.Thank you so much , George!
Also , Richard -manager , and the other agents of this company are really nice ,treats you with respect and kindness and are very supportive in everything you need before proceeding with all the paperwork .Thank you.

GoogleAbsolute con artists!! I wouldn’t even recommend them to my worst enemy.
A big increase in July 2025 of £102.40 on top of the already £160.60 as a ‘service charge’ for the so called maintenance on our little estate.
In my 4 & 1/2 years here I have never seen any maintenance. A small breakdown of the cost is an absolute joke. Mowing of a TINY patch of grass for the flats I do not live in, ‘street lighting’ for 1 single pathetic spot light & trimming of the bushes that are no longer there haha!!!! I wish I could give 0 stars.

GoogleAbsolutley dire letting agent! flat not habitable storage heaters not fit for purpose 3 for the whole flat burning the walls and kicking out filth and dust they also left me paying a previous tenants debt on the electric meter Richards job to sort He never did! They owe me for this and I will not give up on it either I've paid hundreds of pounds on that debt for a previous tennant. Terrible flat freezing cold cost a fortune i couldn't even stay there and ended up almost dead with pneumonia as a result of the cold and the amount of debt left should not be passed on to the next tennant they never even informed me i was on a pre payment meter they do not ever do repairs blinds with no chords paint all over them put up back to front security is a major issue too handyman is a joke! anyone can wander into the main building and frequently did. Which scared me a lot being a single woman opposite a pub which is rough I had many drunken men banging on my flat door Richard was informed a year ago this should be fixed the main entry door! And did nothing!! Admin is diabolical and he is a very rude man! The receptionist well there aren't enough words to cover how rude she is, Should this be removed again I will go to the authorities which will be easy as I have two relatives that are solicitors and one which is a barrister and have sought legal advice I would be happy and go away should I get what I'm owed I think minimally my last month's rent I even left paint for the decorators I have Richard on a recording telling me he will give me back February's rent and I won't stop until I get it, I met the previous tennant from years ago the air vents in the main Living area are packed with clothes FIRE HAZARD no wonder I was in intensive care for ten days with bronchial pneumonia my family where even called in to say goodbye I almost died twice! my prognosis is very bad unfortunately now which medical professionals put a lot down to the flat and heating system etc I will not let this go if I don't get a satisfactory response or Richard giving me the rent he owes me and said he would! I will go to the authorities and the local paper if i have too I have lots of proof and pictures too my safety in regards people walking In the main building was also a very scary experience I literally had to use it as storage I was so scared and Paulie I couldn't be there I had the paramedics many times to the flat due to my poor health the main flat door is too small for the frame and the fire exit main entry point is back to front and not fit for purpose Richard was told about this a year ago by the chief of Derbyshire fire service I've also called the office left many messages to no avail regarding my health and safety only to be ignored and never ever called back im glad I recorded what I did and as previously stated go to relevant authorities I am owed minimally Feb's rent to cover all the debt I had to pay on the electric meter which was not my debt,Richard told me he would give me Feb's rent and never honoured this as someone with not a good prognosis now with my lifespan now I do expect this to be honoured Fair Is fair after all! I even bought enough paint to paint the burn marks caused by the storage heaters I bought enough to the paint the whole flat the decorator has told me at been done for years and it shows I look forward to Richard honouring HIS words and refunding Feb's rent asap! as can be seen from the pictures the storage heaters are diabolical and have never been serviced or inspected for years

GoogleI had an excellent experience with this agency. I just went to look around in Chesterfield as I would like to move to that area soon. I had seen an advertisement earlier and found the house in the town. I thought to call the agency if there was a chance to view the flat. George was very helpful. He offered me to view the flat immediately as he understood that I did not have a chance to go back there soon. He was professional. Later he promptly replied to my email as well. I higly recommend him and this agency.

GoogleI rented an apartment in Sheffield for four years that was managed by this agency they have offered a great service with good communication whenever I had a maintenance issue someone would attend within 2 days to a week depending on urgency. They helped me during a difficult time by agreeing to an affordable payment plan to catch up on my rent and they were always honest and fair with me.
The rent was reasonable for the location
I would recommend renting a property managed by this agency.

GoogleVey poor service and communication...I was booked for a viewing, I turned up 10 minutes early and called them to let them know I was outside. They informed me they were currently viewings, so I would be next in about 10 minutes...I was waiting another 30 minutes outside the house for nothing. Nobody called me or let me know that they're not coming. I strongly don't recommend working with them.

GoogleI rented through Roy Peters in the spring of 2021 and it was one of the worst experiences of my life.
I have very mild asthma and it's caused me no real problems, I've never even needed an inhaler; so it was surprising and genuinely quite horrifying when I started having severe asthma attacks over and over again.
I got an inhaler prescribed for the first time in my life and even then it did very little to help the fact that I could never breathe properly in my flat, and some ways in I started to notice massive amounts of black mould growth.
I should probably mention here that I came down with fevers a few times during my period of renting.
One day I happen to be speaking to the handyman who happens to mention off hand that the flat had no insulation.
It was quite a surprise, considering that no one at Roy Peters ever felt the need to mention this, either directly or via paperwork. You would think that something like this would be somewhat important.
Funnily enough: Shortly after my moving out I noticed that they had workmen around, fitting insulation, so I'm guessing that they knew this to be a problem.
Oh, another point: Following my moving out they kept a tight grip on my deposit for several months, despite my constant requests. Funnily enough, the moment I brought up that a family member was a solicitor I immediately received my deposit. I consider this a good example of their moral character.
I'll close this review by showing some pictures I took shortly before my moving out (please remember that my tenancy was during spring, that's how bad the damp was.)
Thank you Roy Peters, what a classy agency you turned out to be.

Staff member Richard rude and sarcastic to me on a number of occasions. I looked after the property well and kept control of the mould on the walls which the owner had painted over just before I moved in. Every time there was a problem they took ages to sort it. I was without a working shower and toilet for weeks.
When I moved out they tried to charge me £400 for some marks on the walls which needed to be redecorated anyway due to the mould. He called me a liar and said the mould was my fault. I said I was going to the TPS to appeal the charge and he tried to blackmail me stating he'd go for more if I did.
I won the appeal.
Don't rent from these horrible people.

GoogleWould give them lower if possible. Rang to arrange a viewing of a property, the woman who answer had appalling telephone manner, could not be less interested.
Advised I had a cat, was immediately cut off not possible - advised I would be willing to pay additional per month for this and was immediately cut off not even suggested they would speak with the landlord, however I would think offering up to an additional £100 per month on a £600 per month lease may be of something of interest.
Woman didn't offer or suggest any other possible property, just wanted off the phone, so not helping to find tenants for other landlords clearly - I wouldn't advise going through them as a tenant or a landlord!
