New Park: Bellway Springstead Village Park, Cherry Hinton, Cambridge CB1 3FT Safety - The park is fully fenced but parking can be found by the Bellway showroom, go through a gate and cross the road and you will be at the park. I have not given it more stars because I'm not sure if these spaces will be available in the future which will make parking difficult. Until then, showroom car park will be best. Quantity - The park consists of a seesaw, spinning chair, swinging log, swinging disc, small wooden frame and lots of balancing steps. Remember this new build play area will become established as more residents move in Picnic - The play area has a brilliant selection of seats. There is a picnic area holding two benches. A small green space where families can sit and enjoy a picnic is also enclosed. Independence - The park has a very little to offer for young children to be fully independent. The disc swing can be enjoyed as well as the spinning bowl. Maintenance - The park is brand new, there is no graffiti or litter to be seen throughout the play area. The park has plenty of hopefully this will encourage users to discard their rubbish appropriately. The grass is a little long but this is probably because its so new and needed to grow before being cut and maintained. Overall, its a good looking park. Would be a good idea to bring other activities if you want to spend some time there. Picnics, I'd say you will spend more time enjoying a picnic here until the park becomes established. Give Bellway credit, it's a really well set out area. A lot of thought has gone into, it compared to some of the new parks builds. (Many thanks to Park Dad's contribution and visit)
