FacebookThe HMO Network is probably a good network, however I found a bad apple withing them. OrchidHomes.
My experience with OrchidHomes has been nothing short of appalling.
OrchidHomes repeatedly entered my property without notice(breaking their own contract agreement), ignored repairs for months (leading to mold growth), non working boiler for 3weeks, and demanded contract re-signing multiple times - so much for due diligence.
Promised inspections never happened, and every issue was met with dismissive excuses, often deflecting blame onto contractors or some trivial nonsense such as staff shortages, when they have only two of them (which are the two directors) as far as their reports say - rather than taking responsibility.
Knowing they are part of a larger property management association gives the impression of legitimacy, but my experience suggests otherwise. In fact, its not just my experience but current and former tenants.
If you're looking for professionalism, accountability, and genuine tenant care, I would strongly recommend avoiding OrchidHomes.co.uk.
I have contacted some members from The HMO Network and a lot of them have not talked or are associated with OrchidHomes, so everyone else is probbaly fine, except OrchidHomes.
Again, I believe its not fair to judge everyone in the network, but as far as it goes with OrchidHomes, you can make the mind yourself based on what I wrote, STRONGLY not recommended doing business with OrchidHomes.
The HMO Network has definitely better options.

KerfuffleLike the Avengers, but for HMOs

The HMO Network is multi-faceted and difficult to summarise because the benefits to landlords and also agents are so vast. Landlords who use the HMO Network are using an elite group of HMO Managing agents who are HMO-specific and making a conscious effort to keep improving and continue to drive standards. For the agents, The HMO Network is greater than the sum of its parts. It is a hive of knowledge and experience. Every agent who is a member has improved their performance just by being part of the network. We share experience, problems, best practise, guidance, compliance.
