DISGRACEFUL SHERRY FITZHaving purchased a property from…

Having purchased a property from sherryfitzgearld ,Renovated it and then went back to the office to whom I purchased from,and asked would they be interested in marketing our property,only to be messed around by the principle of sherry fitgearld,traveling a hr to leave a key available ,this was 3 weeks ago march 2023 ,only to find no one arrived to even look at the property for pictures , measurements etc ,This is no way to treat customers ,we wouldn't treat our clients in such a fashion nor do we expect to be treated in such a hap hazzard manner .Imagine turning down a new build 3 bed house ,A rated ,and not have the courtesy to ring and say look sorry we won't be marketing your property ,even when it was this branch in cork we purchased from .☎️A SIMPLE PHONCALL OR EMAIL WOULDNT GO AMISS

Amazing support and a pleasure to deal with

Sherry Fitzgerald as Mortgage Brokers

My review actually relates to Sherry Fitzgerald's mortgage broker service.I was disappointed with the service but my situation was complicated by the fact that I was remortgaging and staff shortages in PTSB and in fairness to Sherry Fitzgerald when I complained they eventually dealt with it to my satisfaction.So I would simply say to potential customers that you keep a very close eye on the process as the banks are short staffed and the brokers can lose focus when it's such a drawn out process.

At least lock the house up after viewings!!!

While the staff where very pleasant to deal with in general 2 things really sub standard.The first was that on visiting the house 2 days after they conducted a viewing i went to check the house and found the back door had not been locked and had been swinging open for since the view, surely one lesson of being an estate agent is lock up the house before you leave. in response i got a lame sorry.The second was that before the sale was complete the buyers want access for builders to take measurements, the sherry fitz agent then let them tear wall paper off the wall of one of the bedrooms. I asked for an explanation by phone, email and was studiously ignored.

Terrible company to deal with

Terrible company to deal with, I was looking to buy a house, we arranged for a viewing and they didn’t even show up or bother to let know they can’t come. So I was left waiting for an hour until agent finally answer her mobile phone, oh sorry didn’t you get my mail? No I didn’t. They also lie to you about the house, pushy, they don’t know anything about the house they are selling. They do know offcourse there are 3 bids on the house allready. Bad vibes tbh and will avoid them at all cost. Classic case of market leaders not caring about buyers, they deserve to go bust. I was dealing with greystones locations, avoid.

Purchased new house through Sherry Fitz

Bought new house where Sherry Fitz are the selling agent. They were on to me every week till the contracts were signed and after that, you will be lucky to get a reply. Never communicated about upgrade option, as a result, I now need to pay more if I want things changed because they didn't do their job. Typical "Big Company" with no sense of responsibility towards customers... There are better agents out there who will sell, let and manage your property 100 times better than Sherry Fitz so AVOID!!!

If you are renting

If you are renting, you are legally entitled to the FULL rental history of the property. it must include every past rental and not just the last one.. This should be given by the estate agent BEFORE you move in. Then contact the RTB to verify all information is correct. Your rent should not have risen all through 2017 or during Covid restrictions 2020. Any rent between December 24th to July 2021 could only rise by a maximum of 4% annually. The 4% rule for RPZ has now been replaced and they can not add 4% since July 2021. Check RTB.ieFor rent increases.Failure to supply the FULL rental history is a breach of tenants rights and RPZ rules.Get a solicitor or threshold to check over your lease agreement and check what your legal rights are as a tenant and what your landlord is legally required to provide. Always know your rights and use the law as it should be

Unfortunately I am living a nightmare…

Unfortunately I am living a nightmare due to Sheery Fitzgerald. Im renting an apartamento for 2600 eur/month for almost 6 months and still didnt receive any one for Maintance and inspection. I currently dont have hot water neither heating system, for 2 days. They dont give any support, and the answer is "we need to wait", no other option presented. They "makeup" the apartment for the view before renting, when you move in, you start finding that the apartment is totally in bad conditions. Repeating, it is a 2600 eur/month apartament, now a old one. If you looking for a rent, do not rent with Sherry Fitzgerald, after signed the contract you are totally alone!

Avoid their incompetent Lettings agents

We used SherryFitzgerald to manage our rental property in D8 for 2 years. During the period, they inspected the property 4 times and told us it was all ok to be re-let. However on my own inspection I found serious water damage in 3 area that were totally ignored and cost 1000’s to put right. After a complaint was raised and followed up, nothing was admitted so we fired them! They are incompetent and just want to churn properties. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

No one from Sherry FitzGerald showed up for the open viewing leaving a number of people standing around. When I phoned later in the day to find out the reason, I was advised that a text message cancelling the appointment had been sent to everyone and by the way... an offer had been excepted for the rental!! i.e. Job done... everyone else can go love themselves! Sherry FitzGerald Lettings Cork are an embarrassment to their profession and I recommend everyone to stay well clear! There's plenty of posts on here confirming how poor they are to deal with and on this experience I understand why!

Friendly service and quick to respond to emails. It always seems as though they genuinely care and want to help if you have any issues with your rental which is greatly appreciated. Viewing the apartment and getting the lease set up was easy - it would be nice though if a city centre location was opened to make it easier to sign the contracts and collect keys rather than having to travel out to the business park by the airport

I recently moved to Ireland with family. I was lucky enough to get a property within a week. Having done many viewings through different agencies I can say that overall service is very good. Viewing of the property was organised well without any delay. It wasn't an open viewing so everyone had enough time to view the property and chat to the Denise about any details. Signing the contract and all paper work went smoothly and I got keys on the agreed day. Moving in was not that smooth as I smelled gas in kitchen and the contractor said that it will take 3-4 weeks to fix as everything was closing for Christmas and any work could star in Jan only. Luckily for us John worked with all parties and we were provided a temp accommodation in Cork for a month.I really appreciate the prompt responses every time that I needed to contact the agency. I've been dealing with Billie for some other minor glitches and she has always been very helpful and quickly responded to all my queries or requests. I would highly recommend this agency.

Sherry Fitzgerald have made every stage of the rental process quick, clear and simple, in my experience. Friendly, helpful support is always available (Billie usually replies to my emails in less than a minute or two. I feel assured that the house and residents are well looked after while I'm abroad and can't be there to manage things personally.
