GoogleI have just made a purchase through Hunters Leighton Buzzared and the team were great through a long negotiation with the vendor. A particular thanks to Monica and Rosa who were really proactive and communicative throughout. The after sales service running up to exchange and completion was equally good.

TrustpilotAvoid Hunters like the plague!
Hunters Pontefract are an absolute shambles! We found a property we liked and we wanted to move in, it was a townhouse property 3 bedroom with an en-suite priced at £475. What an absolute steal, right? Wrong! On the day we moved in, which was August 2018 our boiler was not giving hot water as it had no pressure in it. We called someone out who didn’t arrive until 2 days later, you have to report the issue on the internet system they use fix flo. The boiler had lost pressure, the piping work by the boiler had a hole which would leak when pressure needed adding, sadly our boiler kept losing pressure repeatedly and it was up to us to keep adding pressure every 2-3 days as their response when I called is “that’s normal for a boiler to lose pressure” . It leaked into my little boy’s room at one point and we were told we are liable for paintwork and damage. He had to be in our room for over a week due to the damp state of the room until it dried out. They sent someone out in relation to the boiler who said “it’s a number of things that could be wrong so I can’t fix it” We began having a leak from our bathroom and reported it, the gentleman that came out suggested our wall was causing the leak and to monitor it. It began leaking into the living room, for weeks no one could identify the issue. Lastly, an agent that came out noticed our tiling as he advised it was really to fall off and was not fitted correctly condemned us from using the bathroom and came out again to rip the tiling away. The en suite was the same but this is still awaiting fixing. Anyway, the leak was not getting better and we couldn’t use the bath or the shower for over a week so were using the en suite, the leak kept getting bigger and bigger. I was at the doctors and they asked if someone could come try and fix the leak whilst I was out which I agreed to, I came back to my home and the living room had a gaping hole in the ceiling full of dust and mold. I was cried that much my mum called the contractor to ask what on earth he had done but his point was “well, I’ve fixed the leak but we can’t fix the ceiling so arrange that with hunters” 3 months later and still not fixed! At this point, I asked to be let out of my contract for the safety of my son and what he was living in.My oven door was loose as well, it would stay up right but would fall down with no springs to steady it when opened so was rather heavy to open. They couldn’t do anything as my landlord was on holiday and could not get a response from him until returning home. After the date he was meant to return home, they couldn’t get a response about the oven. Then, I was baking with my son and the buns had gone in the oven. 10 minutes in, I was stood washing up and my son was making icing on the kitchen floor and the oven door started to crash down, I had to push my son out of the way and it hit the floor to glass shattering everywhere, including glass being stuck in my foot which took over an hour to take out. My partner had to come home early from work because I was in such a state but luckily our son was unscathed. I cried and begged them to let us leave on the phone and spoke to Amie who promised a contractor would be out to clean the glass up and try and repair the oven with tools in his van . The man came out in a jaguar in passing from a rugby game, he had been instructed just to take a look. He said before even looking at the oven “it needs a new oven, I will leave you to clean it up” I was shocked. I was expecting to have some help at least disposing of the glass as he was being paid to attend the property so me and my partner had to clean the glass up and throw it in the bin repeatedly cutting ourselves from the glass on the floor. Within a couple of days, the chap was back with a new oven so I was happy with the quick turn around of that.At the beginning of September we were told we could vacate our property the next month as it was requested to leave by October at the latest. We are leaving in a couple of weeks but the repairs such as the boiler and ceiling hole and tiling in en suite are still awaiting repairs and the house is already back up to rent even though it is still awaiting repairs. If you see a townhouse at £475 with these guys and think it looks nice and you want to go for it. DONT DO IT. Avoid Hunters at all cost, they are an absolute shambles!*Update* 2 weeks before leaving whilst packing up they emailed us saying a house viewing was to take place, I asked if this could be done a different time as we’d all be tired after work with no 48 hours notice, solid no. The same day my son was sent home from nursery throwing up and feeling unwell. I called asking if they would reschedule and basically the manager informed me “if you don’t comply, we can keep you in your tenancy and you can’t leave” I told them my son would be laid on the sofa throwing up and they just didn’t care.

TrustpilotHunters Kendal
Hunters. Kendal.Have no problem recommending this branch. Unfortunately lockdown got in the way. Launch was on Wednesdsy and lockdown Friday which restricted viewing. Kept me well informed as to who was viewing. When I did get a sale dealt with the buyer in no uncertain terms as he was trying to find lots of faults to drive down the price. He didn't succeed! Suzanne Jackson valued my property and was informative and good to deal with as were the rest of the staff in the office dealing with Kendal.

Vikram, Sarah and Serhan are amazing - they are very supportive, understanding, calm and super well-organised. They went above and beyond to support me whenever I need. They made the process really smooth and stress free for me with their years of experience, long term vision and excellent communication skills. I highly recommend this team and will definitely work with them again in the future if I have a chance to. Thank you so much all!

TrustpilotNorth Somerset’s Best.
I’d just like to thank all the staff at Hunters in North Somerset, Yatton, Portishead and Nailsea offices. They have sold 2 Of our private houses for us in the past 3 Years, and one of our rental properties before that. All Were sold in a matter of days. Of the 2 recent sales the 1st one went through smoothly in 2 months. The second was not quite so good through no fault of Hunters I might add.2nd property sold the 1st day on the market but turned out the lady was telling porkies about her funding so she disappeared after 2 weeks🤬Another Confirmed buyer Within the same week and except for the obvious Covid delays, mainly being unable to sort removals, this time everything went as planned. Many thanks to Richard, Mandy and James for their excellent Professional service and I would strongly recommend Hunters to anyone thinking of selling in the North Somerset area. They know the market in this area so well and really go the extra mile for their clients.

GoogleWe had a great experience with Hunters. We didn't have our house on the market but fell in love with a property. They were able to turn around putting property on market, with great pics and 3d walk around in days and facilitate loads of viewings, which saw the house sell at asking (that we where happy with) in a week.
The team from Caroline, Nick and Sean where great.

Hunters, Carlisle Branch. We feel the agent did not convey our offer correctly to the vendor, telling them we had met their price without including the proviso that we had made that our increased offer was to include contents and furnishings to the value of £5,000. Therefore the vendors thought we had met their price while we thought we had negotiated some furnishings for the property. This we feel was dishonest and caused embarrasment and problems when finalising the sale through the solicitors.

TrustpilotSo unprofessional
So unprofessional. Middlesbrough- Teesside Lettings branch cancelled my viewings on the same day just an hour before the appointment with a lame reason of not confirming it via an email when the appointments are usually confirmed by phones. Also no necessary information about the property was given a week ago while I booked the appointments but today after them sending me appointment cancellation emails. I had cancelled my plans for today as I had 2 appointments with them. Staff has no manners to talk to a client, the way of sending emails is so casual and informal. They offered me appointment for the next day when I specifically requested for an appointment for today itself a week ago. I just told them I don’t want to go ahead with such unprofessional company. Management needs some training so do the staff in dealing with the clients.

The process has been clear, quick and thorough. I have always felt heard and important as a tenant.
From viewing a property to moving in it took just 2 weeks. I was guided every step of the way. All my questions have been answered within a day or acknowledged within a few hours if Hunters needed to go to the landlord for the answers.
I highly recommend Hunters.

GoogleWe have recently used Hunters Leighton Buzzard to sell our house, with very positive results.
The Hunters team, and Nick Board in particular, we very professional, communicative and respectful in their approach, which is not something that can be said of some other local estate agents we have used in the past.
Initial pre-sale discussions were informative and direct without any pushy sales techniques or over-inflated promises. Nick gave a considered opinion on both the house and the local market as well as realistic expectations of sale price, viewing footfall and length of the sales process (all of which turned out to be entirely accurate).
The Hunters team were informative and communicated well throughout the process, maintaining a balance of keeping us informed at the right times without contacting us unnecessarily. We also never had to chase any queries up beyond an initial phone call or email - again something found lacking in certain other local estate agents.
Mature, professional, and approachable - I would not hesitate to consider using Hunters Leighton Buzzard again in the future and would certainly recommend them to others looking to buy, sell or rent.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

TrustpilotDishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude
Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

TrustpilotHunters Belmont Circle
Called Hunters Belmont Circle to arrange a valuation of my home. They asked me the reason for wanting to sell and when I told them it was because we're divorcing the representative immediately turned frosty and said they charge for valuations if your selling due to divorce. Imagine you're presented with a very devastating and traumatic life event, and then the pariahs come a hunting to see if they too can make a profit out of someone else's misery. Shameful.

TrustpilotWhy all the complications?
Tried to book a viewing online of a property in South Shields. I received multiple text messages and emails asking me to complete a further questionnaire before they could proceed. This questionnaire then appears to have prompted another questionnaire (with multiple further texts and emails), which looked like it was going to try and book me in for a property valuation of my current home. I decided instead to call and try and book a viewing. The gentleman who answered seemed thoroughly disinterested and told me viewings could only be booked for weekdays, and only during the hours of 9am to 5pm. I explained that I work during those hours (as most people do, I would suspect) and he said, 'Ok then, bye' and terminated the call. Not sure exactly how anyone is supposed to view a property with Hunters.

GoogleI was impressed by the overall performance of the team at Hunters. Special thanks to Michella, Rosie and Iain, who provided excellent customer service at various stages in our sale. Thanks also to Caroline and David for their wisdom and expertise. By way of constructive criticism there were only a couple of disappointing issues: I twice had to prompt for the promised formal monthly review of how our sale was progressing. Also our property was incorrectly priced in the shop window, (not amended following an agreed reduction in price), for a couple of weeks - a human error for which we received an apology, but it was frustrating to think we may have missed a sale during that time. One other point to mention... Leighton Buzzard and Tring offices are linked telephonically and it was sometimes confusing to call one office but end up speaking to the other. All that said I still rate the service received very highly (worth five stars) and appreciate the friendly and professional approach throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble and, once a sale was agreed, we had a smooth, stress-free conclusion. Good work.
