GoogleConnells Leighton Buzzard were brilliant throughout my house purchase. Robbie helped me find my dream house after missing out on a couple of properties. Robbie also kept the process stress free and fun. Phill was then amazing at progressing the purchase, doing everything promptly and being very reassuring the whole way through the purchase and keeping on top of solicitors on my behalf. Fantastic. Could not recommend these guys enough, their dedication is incredible. Thank you.

TrustpilotLong Contract
From the start my experience has been terrible with 32 weeks contract High Fee's do not enter or commit yourself into any long contract.you then have to lower the price they don't lower the fee.you are still left after this period with no sale.

TrustpilotAppalling Service from Connells North Swindon
My Son has recently purchased a flat through Connells North Swindon Office. I have not had a worse experience with an estate agent. It started off on the wrong foot where they credit scored and approached my son about a mortgage without his permission. There were some delays and challenges and we got a fair amount of help whilst we were still targeting a pre Christmas exchange. As soon as that was missed we had no support - assume bonuses are paid on completionsI'm used to the estate agent being there through the process and helping to resolve any issues encountered. No such luck here - disappeared and wouldn't respond. I also emailed and left a message for the branch manager to call me - surprise, no one did. This was his first purchase so needed support through the process - appalling service - avoid using if you are expecting any help and support. They seem to be solely focused on targets and bonuses

TrustpilotConnells should be Ashamed
I realise now I should have read the reviews below before agreeing to let Connells Leighton Buzzard deal with the sale of my house. Ironic as Leighton Buzzard is also home to the head office. Without doubt the most traumatic experience I have ever had. It is clear that any company that has a Trust Pilot score of 1.9 and 74% of all reviews are bad, has no concern for its customers or its reputation. In short, stay well clear and find an Estate Agent where Customer Service is at the top of the list. Unless of course you like months of heartache, Non Communication, Lies and poor service. Ironically you get all this and then have to pay them a fee despite you doing all the work!Quick tip, when your house sell is going down the pan, do not get discouraged. Just go to the Estate Agent your buyer is using. Chances are they will step in and rescue he deal for their customer and as such you also.Without doubt the worse company I have ever had the miserable experience of dealing with.

TrustpilotUnprofessionalism towards tenants
Rented a property from Connells, at the end of term landlord tried to exploit and grab the deposit and Connells acted like they can’t take any responsibility. Connells were the ones rented the property and should’ve taken some responsibility.

GooglePhill, Michelle, Gemma, and the whole Connells Leighton Buzzard team were pleasure to work during our house buying process. As first-time buyers, we particularly appreciated their patience and helpfulness, from taking the time to fully understand our needs and desires, to fitting as many viewings as possible into our weekend trips from London, and guiding us through the purchase process once we found our new home. We heartily recommend their services. Jeff & Andi.

GoogleSophia was so friendly and knowledgeable from the off set. With regards to the property I viewed. she gave interesting buying points. Sophia gave me her time without any hesitation. A real little GEM for Connells. We pay a lot of money for what we are buying or selling and she was worth her weight in gold! (As we say) star girl!!

GoogleMichelle has been the utter professional with dealing with our mortgage queries and being successful in gaining a mortgage offer. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for anything mortgage related. Gemma and the team in the office have also been great when viewing and dealing with any queries around buying. They have been a pleasure to deal with!

GoogleBrilliant service! Taylor was brilliant from the get go. As soon as we walked into the property and she was showing us around, she had sold it to us. Extra points for being very knowledgeable and friendly. Robbie was also an absolute star throughout the whole process, and Michelle was brilliant in helping us secure a mortgage in such a short time.

TrustpilotExcellent Mortgage Advisory Service at Connells Cambourne
I recently worked with Andy, Connells Cambourne's mortgage advisor, and I'm thrilled with the service. From start to finish, Andy provided expert guidance, ensuring I found the perfect mortgage fit. His professionalism, clear communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction were outstanding. We finally purchased our first home. I highly recommend Andy for anyone in need of top-notch mortgage advice.

TrustpilotLandlord - full managed service - lettings
AVOID - I let my property with Connells for over five years while I was living abroad. I can honestly say that this has caused so much extra stress. Absolutely no point having a managed service. Everything was difficult, they can't organise anything - I mostly ended up being put in touch directly with the tenants to organise anything needed. They also try to con you out of money at every opportunity. Sabotaging efforts to use my own (trusted) contractor to force me to use their own at a much higher rate. They recommended someone who never provided a receipt, leaving me out of pocket. I would have changed but it was difficult to do from abroad. I can't believe they are still in business.

TrustpilotSadly, zero stars are not possible.
We purchased our home June of this year and engaged Connells to complete the survey which would determine whether or not we would finalise the purchase. The survey comes back, and it’s clean! The property was considered in excellent shape, and windows and floors “in good working order with no repair necessary.” Upon moving in, we immediately discovered that the survey was not, in fact, clean. There were serious issues which require immediate replacement and / time or repair, all of which would have been easily spotted by a competent professional. The total bill will be approximately £15,000 to repair the damage. Would not have proceeded with the purchase had the survey accurately represented the property. You have been warned.

Had my survey today and honestly couldn’t have felt more at ease. Super kind and polite throughout, even complimented my home. Came prepared with ladders for the loft, wore shoe protectors, and even helped put the hatch back that I couldn’t.

GoogleWe purchased a property from them and they were very professional, but what I was really impressed with was the after service.
I called up and asked to get some information regarding the property we purchased, and Phil was more than happy to help. Directed me to the right place and even offered to do some calls himself and send me some information (which he did within the hour). Things that he didn't have to do, so thank you for that Phil.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleExcellent service received from start to finish from Robbie Pearson and Phil Appleby !! Great advise, open and honest conversations, speedy process, regular updates, friendly and professional approach, is what comes to my mind when I think of them. Unfortunately I had to pull the house from the market at this time due to changed circumstances but I highly recommend them and will definitely reach out to them if I was selling again. Thank you Robbie and Phil !!!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Trustpilotfleas...
Moved into a rental property that was not ready on time, then moved in at a delayed date to find the property wasn't clean and the broken oven that was meant to be replaced was still in there. Within three days, we discovered the house was infested with fleas and had to leave with all our belongings still in the home. We had an agreement that the tenancy would be terminated immediately and monies returned to us and had to wait until the house had been professionally treated to be able to get any household items out. Refund kept being promised by the branch, yet was nowhere to be seen, after making a formal complaint to head office - we now finally have our funds paid back after three months from the date we moved out. Everything that could of gone wrong with this rental experience, did indeed go wrong. Staff at the branch were polite, just everything was handled in the most shambolic way ever. Wouldn't recommend from my personal experience.

TrustpilotStay away from them
I used their service for let only because their price was cheaper than other estate agents. It was a simple process. Pictures were already online and the tenants were found the next day. But the communications afterwards were poor, staff dealing with it totally locking of professionalism and responsibility! I had to keep calling their manager in another branch to ask what was happening and chase the result. On the day the tenants were supposed to go to the branch to get the keys, the shop was closed! Even it was a normal working day and no reason was informed! I will never use them again!

TrustpilotNever again. The Worst. Connells Survey & Valuation ltd
I wish I had seen all of the reviews (on here) before I decided to use Connells. I would have saved myself a lot of headache, stress and money. There is no point telling you everything which is so bad about this company, because it would take too long and most has been covered by other reviews, but to avoid the pain of what I went through, I will respectfully and caringly warn you; DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING.I hired them for a property valuation. From the very beginning I should have followed my gut, but I didn't because they were the only ones who where able to give me an appointment within the time scale I needed. Big mistake. They were cold and fairly rude on the phone, almost like I was bothering them and they wanted me to hurry up and get off the phone. Needless to say, I still booked with them, hoping that was a one off. After paying for the survey booking, I was not contacted with a confirmation date or update of any kind. I had to chase them up and was eventually given a date. The day before the scheduled date, I receive a message stating a different date to what was agreed. I contact them to inform them I was given an incorrect date. With no apology or understanding, I am told that the date had to be changed because of available and that's it. This really angered me, due to all the arrangements I had to make in order to make sure someone was in my property to give them access. But I still went along with it, out of desperation. Needless to say, when the surveyor arrived, he refused to do the survey because i was not personally present; even though it was specifically arranged and agreed for the estate agent representative to be present, 7 days prior to the appointment. I'm sure you can already imagine what I was feeling and saying, once I received my estate agents call. When I called up Connells, they nonchalantly apologised and simply said I would have to book another appointment. When the survey did actually happen, I was told I would receive the report within 5 days. I waited 7 days and then had to chase them up for it myself. No apology of any kind was offered.Wait, I've not finished; upon reading my report, they had valued my property £30k less than another survey company and also £35k less than my neighbours property which had just sold.I could go on, but I will stop there. All I will say is that I will never ever use any of their services again and I will tell everyone I know the same.Look elsewhere if you want a professional, respectful and caring service. Connells are the worst I've ever experienced. There should be a no-star option.

Trustpilot*CONNELLS MUTLEY PLAIN*
*CONNELLS MUTLEY PLAIN*An honest opinion based on facts to prevent you going through the stress of these inconsiderate idiot's. Since the sale I've heard lots of very similar situations so thought I'd spread the word. From day one, Ross came to the house to value it and seemed very good, promised the earth as you'd expect from any estate agent. Valued the house 5-10k higher than others(purposely done to get you on board, who doesn't want an extra 5-10k) That's the positives done! We agreed a 1% fee, Ross the manager put down a figure on the contract and not 1%. We didn't notice this until he had left. We spoke to him on the phone and he agreed to change it, "he would send us an email to confirm it" Weeks went by and we chased for the email, several emails and phone calls went to Ross yet this never got solved. We ended up paying more fees because of his intentional mistake on the contract. Our own fault for not making sure we had it sorted, however Ross clearly knew what he had done and had purposely ignored our emails. Whilst the sale was ongoing with viewings etc we never got any feedback until we called them. Several times we called and they would always say "we were just about to call you" They even held onto offers for days and we only got these when we called them to chase feedback. So we finally agreed a price with the buyer. Connells told us the buyer had no chain and wanted to move in within 6 weeks with no surveys etc as they needed to move in ASAP. This was January 14th 2021, fast forward to July 2021 and the sale is still dragging out because of the chain(the chain that connells told us didn't exist) We found out through our buyers estate agent that the buyers buyer lives in Thailand. This was the reason for a major hold up and very nearly lost us our new build purchase. Credit to Lawsons who didn't have to go out of their way to chase and explain things to us. Things that Connells would have known for months. We spoke to at least 6 different members of staff, the amount of times we were told "we will call you back" and not receive a call is beyond a joke. They also entered our property without permission when we weren't home. Only Connells and ourselves had a key. Our post had been put on the kitchen side, things in the garden were moved. When I questioned this they denied it.Right up until the last day of completion we were still chasing them for their mistakes. They overpriced the final invoice to our solicitor by £100. It took two phone calls from us and one from our solicitor to amend this. Apparently it was a "typo" Funny how the typo didn't work in our favour! All in all a very stressful time which could have been prevented with simply being honest with us and making a few phone calls to us.I've never left a bad review before but this was so bad I felt it was needed. Hopefully our mistake going with Connells Mutley Plain will save you making that mistake. Just to repeat this was CONNELLS MUTLEY PLAIN so please don't mistake this for other connells branches.

TrustpilotHorrific
HorrificLived in a property since 2017, repairs continually ignored. 3 times ceiling has collapsed. My belongings destroyed, all my food. Still have no ceiling. Bathroom floor is still raised and leaks. Bath is not repaired and just has plastic siliconed to cover holes. Fences collapsed. Back door not working or secure. All reported and ignored. Trashed my belongings, broke my bed, bin. Left work uncomplete, dumped rubbish in house snd left 20 bags of rubbish for months in my garden. Broke my hoover, left toilet marks in my toilet. Landlord issued eviction noticed because i chased repairs, wat else am i supposed to do, live in these conditions????Falsely accused of doing the damage myself only for 2 inspections to be carried out and proved that its the ignoring and poor work of a contractor. Despite refusing to do repairs and issueing a section 21 to evict they then ask for more rent over 5% wats suggested. Every phonecall and email solves nothing. I still live in these conditions. Bullied and harrassed by refusing to do repairs, eviction and demands for more rent. Stay away from this company. They appear to be interested in only collecting money and have no control or support for tenents. The repairs were serious and my children could have been seriously hurt. Boiler broke and took over a month to repair. I had no heating or wash facilities and this was during xmas time. Words cannot describe how awful this experience is. All evidence will be provided to courts should they persist with eviction. I only hope that I can bank enough to get away from Connells and there treatment of me for good. Dont become a victim of them and stay well away. .
