GoogleExtremely Disappointing House Sale Experience
Disappointed with the service from start to finish when selling our house. Communication was poor, and we felt unsupported during a very stressful time. Customer service was terrible, there was no real negotiation for us, and at times it felt like they were negotiating with us instead of the buyer.
The staff handling our sale lacked knowledge and motivation. The negotiator offered no useful advice or initiative, and in total we had only two viewings, despite the house being fully renovated and in a good location. We had to chase for every update, and there was no effort to attract buyers.
After moving to another agency, the difference was immediate: more viewings in the first day than our entire time with Doherty, far better communication, and much stronger offers. We ended up selling well above asking price, something Doherty told us wasn’t possible.
Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend Doherty, and I’ll be making sure friends and family avoid them too.

FacebookWould not recommend! Tried to purchase a property from this estate agents and could barely get a call back. Put my offer in to find out a week later the house was sale agreed and the vendors knew nothing about my offer! Had the cheek to accuse me of lying to them about random things. It’s not for them to follow up calls apparently, they expect me to call them (which of course I did but no one answers the phones!). Felt like dealing with high school girls. He said, she said. So unprofessional I just can’t even explain. I’m actually in shock with their behaviour if I’m honest.

My friend had to put their house on with another Estate agent, due to the lies the potential buyers were told.
They need to stop lying about higher bidding. Funny how no one views one of their listings before a potential buyer placed a big “above” the asking price to be then told someone has bid higher and not even looked at the house. I think they could do with being investigated. 😡
