I've had an excellent experience with Miles & Barr, especially Jadie Hards. She has been incredibly friendly, professional and supportive throughout the whole process. Jadie kept me informed every step of the way, answered all my questions promptly and made what could have been a very stressful time much easier. Her communication has been outstanding, and nothing has ever seemed too much trouble. I truly appreciate all the help and support she has given me while preparing for my move. She is a real credit to Miles & Barr. I would highly recommend Miles & Barr, and especially Jadie Hards, to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and caring letting agent. Excellent service

From start to finish, Miles and Barr have been amazing. Josh was my first contact for the viewing and was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff that I interacted with were great and Becky was the best! She worked tirelessly as my Sales Progressor and I don’t think it would have happened without her, due to issues with solicitors in the chain. Even though it wasn’t related to the purchase, she jumped in and help to get everything across the line.

I have rented out my flat through Miles…

I have rented out my flat through Miles & Barr for many years and found them to be very efficient. I can’t say I have had any problems which have not been able to sort. They have always put excellent tenants in my flat and dealt with any problems the tenants might have promptly and without any fuss. My current property manager Lisa Stamp is great she is very friendly and if I require anything she delivers almost immediately in a friendly and efficient manner. I am very happy with her.

Portfolio Managers are a must

We've been dealing with Miles & Barr as Managing Agent for our properties for more than 20 years and in all that time we've received good service. As our portfolio grew it became increasingly evident, to avoid duplication of work and 'the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing' scenario, that a 'Portfolio Manager' was required to handle all correspondence relating to our properties that had previously been dealt with by different offices within the Miles & Barr group. When Michelle (now Michelle Purse) joined your team she evolved as our 'go-to' contact and was able to pull things together. We've depended upon her knowledge of the business and worked together to resolve more complicated issues. More recently, she's been the hinge-pin while we've been dealing with a non-communicative tenant and as 'Portfolio Manager', for want of a better title, Michelle has been able to maintain (and retain) an overall grasp of the matter. She's been our channel of communication with Miles and Barr. Her continued support and understanding is the reason for our comments which, we're hoping, will not go unnoticed by management.

Outstanding Sales Progress team

The outstanding part of this experience was the Sales Progressor, Denise, who was always available to push this purchase along as soon as any small or big issue came up. We completed the purchase in just two months from offer to completion and the property initially had not even been registered and one of the vendors was in Africa. All this made it challenging but we got there thanks to her. And she still cared enough to pick up one last time post completion when really her work was over. Thank you Denise.

Exceptional Sales Progression

So grateful to the team but especially Rebecca Gravener, who was outstanding throughout the sales progression. She continuously chased up solicitors and agents, sending us regular updates and always available on email or WhatsApp to answer questions. The whole team was fantastic at assisting us with our purchase. We initially dealt with Joe and Maddy at the start of the process who were very helpful and accommodating. Once the transaction had progressed we dealt mainly with Melissa, who I may add is a star! She kept us informed the whole way through. Updated us consistently, we never had to chase or query nothing and she was always on the other end of the phone to answer any questions we had. Rebecca very diligent and supportive, better contact on actual day would have been helpful.

The stars are for the personal contact, initial office personnel, keeping us informed especially Rebecca. The lost star is for the confusion at the end of the process. We were to the wire with our seller’s agent constantly giving us updates. When I rang Miles and Barr we were told the money was with the solicitor, we then rang the solicitor to be told no, it was 4: 45pm before we got the keys. Very stressful. Hiccups along the way not of your making.

Selling a property is often a fraught experience. At the moment, there's a rise in gazundering and I had buyers who tried this with me. There's little estate agents can do about this, but Charlotte Silk who was my regular point of contact and arranged the initial agreement of sale, and Nadine Roberts who was my post-agreement contact really went out to bat for me. Charlotte excelled at negotiations and genuinely came across as interested in getting me the best price and protecting my interests (unlike experiences I've had with different agencies in the past). Nadine was brilliant at chasing up slow solicitors and making sure everything went ahead as smoothly as possible in the circumstances. She was responsible for making sure the date of completion didn't slip when it would have cost me both money and lost me an opportunity with a property purchase I was making abroad. I recommend Miles and Barr and give special thanks to the ladies who had my back.

Before deciding on which estate agent I chose I ask three different local companies to value my property to describe their services and give me an overview of the current market. At the meeting I was really impressed with Miles and Barr, Margate. I have had promises of good service before without it being delivered, however, with Miles and Barr, Margate were true to their word! From the original visit from Graham, meetings with Bradley, conversations with Karen, Hannah and the final stages of the sale with Louise I had an excellent experience. Communication was brilliant and responses to questions and queries was very quick indeed. This has been my best experience of a house sale and I rated this team 5 stars without hesitation. If I was to buy or sell a house again I would use Miles and Barr without question. Thank you Miles and Barr Margate!
