Absolute worst estate agents! Took our 6 months rent upfront told us we could move into the property only to be told 5 hours after we were due to get the keys that we weren’t allowed to have the property after all! We had paid for removals and were literally sitting outside the house only to be mucked about for the entire day. Very disappointing and if we could give them zero stars we would!

GoogleI would highly recommend Bairstow Eves' Canterbury branch after they successfully sold my property this year. They did much more than sell, they gave support and assistance throughout the process. With a team of just three I always knew that whoever I spoke to would know me and the stage that the sale had reached and what was the issue of the moment. They were totally professional throughout as well as showing empathy and understanding when things were stressful. The sale was very protracted owing to difficulties with the beginning of the chain and then a technical legal issue over my own property. The attention to detail of Craig, Megan and Dan at Bairstow meant that the chain held together through this period, often because they worked so hard to make up for the shortcomings of online agents and conveyancers involved with other links in the chain. If ever there was an example of the value of using a local high street agent (and conveyancer) this was it! Many thanks to an excellent team.

GoogleI didn't use Bairstow Eves to sell my property earlier this year ( I wish I had done) - they were marketing the house I wanted to buy. Due to various issues with both my sale and the purchase it took a long time to reach completion but during this time I received continuous support from Craig, Megan and Dan at Bairstow Eves. As well as selling me a property they also communicated with my buyers as the cheaper online agency I had used had lost interest. The customer service I received from Bairstow Eves was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell their home.

Dishonest, incompetent, the last 18 months have been infuriating stressful and costly, systemic failures in their property management team, did not manage the property licensing process, Help2 Rent tenant, let the H2R rent guarantee expire, so no rent cover and tenant in significant arrears, a personal data breach, lost keys, among a litany of failures. Avoid this company at all costs look around do t be fooled by the size of this company, it’s size dwarfs its ability to manage a single property with competence or integrity.

While in the process of purchasing a property i had my mortgage adviser and solicitor, but the agent pressured me into using their services by stating multiple times on the phone the seller would rather the buyer use their services. After the third time i was pressured into saying yes because in all the telephone conversations i was not getting anywhere until I said yes.The mistake I made was having all this conversation in a telephone conversation instead of emails. Their complaint department just threw the case under the bus because I had no evidence and their telephone conversations were not recorded.I avoid this company and their services.

TrustpilotSpying on you asking personal information has non acting agents.
They call you without saying who they are spying and acting like it’s your estate agent selling your home that you have chosen. I’m positive they are breaking data protection has they impersonate another acting estate agents. It’s not until you say can you conform who you are when you’ll be surprised to see it’s a spying estate agent asking for personal confidential information from you. I’ve recorded the calls to send onto the ombudsman has it’s against regulations.

The process of selling the flat took 8 months, not due to Bairstow Eves, but they kept me informed all the way, along. David's tenacity has to be applauded.

I bought my new home through Bairstow Eves Hornchurch. I'm so grateful for all the help that Charlotte W and Lee D provided with the purchase. The communication from beginning to end was perfect not only with me but with the solicitors and all parties involved. The process felt much simpler and easier than it should have been for a house purchase but that's only because of all the work from Charlotte. I'm very happy with my new home.Thank you!

Terrible company and horrendous service. Hard to sell a house when the agent doesn't pitch up for viewings, has fake customers who don't pitch up for viewings either, doesn't return calls, terrible photos and asks for our own photos, bad write up, don't update the sales video with the new photos post makeovers, refuses to release the seller from a contract despite repeated requests due to terrible service and wants payment for doing nothing useful! Release MR Portman immediately so a proper agent can sell the house!

Beeston Branch:A terrible experience with this agent. My friend listed her property with them under a twelve week contract which they later said was 16 weeks as they want her to give another four weeks notice after the twelve period. On top of this they got the property information and dimensions wrong on the listing; adding a downstairs toilet that didn't exist! They confuse viewings and bookings, hence turning people down who want to view the property. She is at the end of her tether trying to get out of this contract. Don't use this agent. They are incompetent, lack any communication skills and behave like rogues when you try to leave.

Southgate Branch, if I could give zero stars I would. They did not even send anyone round to the house when a viewer was coming. I had to show them round. Sometimes they told the client they would meet outside our house at the agreed time but would not show up. I use to see people wandering up and down the street and had to go out and ask them in. We were even told off for turning up at the office to speak with them being told we should have booked an appointment. Hopeless!!

Stratford Branch have been useless, very charming agent valued the property and got me signed up and then it all went south from there. It took them almost 2 weeks to list the property, incl. put the board up on the wrong house. After just one week and 2 viewings they tried to bully me into reducing the price - I was extremely offended by the language they used and had to complain. Since then radio silence - no wonder house prices are falling. Going to rent with Openrent or sell it later with Strike for free - at least if I have to discount the house it costs me nothing to sell it. This is my first experience of high street agents for a long time and hopefully my last ever.

I have rented a property with Bairstow Eves and I have stayed there for nearly 3 years. When I left not only that it took them more than 2 months to release the deposit but they have retained half of the initial deposit for some things that was damaged before I have rented the property. I know that the new tenant has moved in next day after we moved out and the new tenant has clean the garden for which Bairstow eves have retain 120£ from my deposit. The garden was left in the same state that we have taken. I am not saying that it took them 4 months to repair a main door that I couldn’t lock and I had to sleep at night with the door unlocked with a 4 years old child. I have also repainted all the house and repaired the garage and front door on my expense while I have lived there. When I have asked about the invoices for the money that they will retain for what they are saying that has been repaired they find different excuses not to provide them. So be careful when you renting with them as you won’t get the deposit back.
