We started the process of placing our property with Greene & Co in March this year. It was a daunting task ahead but we were totally reassured when we met with Soroush Akhavan who guided us through this process with the utmost professional manner. The entire process was conducted by all the 'Team' with complete diligence, courtesy and attention to detail. The property was soon under offer and then our care was under the excellent supervision of Sarah Leyens in Sales Progression. Again, we were guided through this process, Sarah gave us daily reports keeping us up to date with the progression, leading to a smooth and successful sale of our property. We are delighted and extremely impressed with the manner in which everyone mentioned handled our sale and would not hesitate in recommending their professional services to anyone. In fact we already have - thank you Greene & Co.

They have good local knowledge and are easy to work with. I had a poor experience with the New Homes department, but that is a separate business. All at the main agency were exceptional. I worked mostly with Saleem who has an uncanny ability to work out exactly what each client wants, which means no endless Mini Cooper journeys seeing properties that don't tick the boxes. Instead, we just saw a few that were ideal. Saleem was very patient and took his time - he also clearly enjoys his job amd the local area and that counts for a lot as well.

James Widdowson was both a very professional and very amicable sales agent to deal with. He was always available on the end of the phone for us and very supportive through what was, at times, a tricky sale. This was particularly appreciated as, at the time our property went on the market, we had tenants living there. They reported back separately to us that James had been impeccable in his handling of their situation, which we were hugely grateful for.

Saleem Kamal was the agent I dealt when doing viewings with Greene and Co. and I can honestly say that I don’t think I had the pleasure of dealing with any agent who was as courteous and genuine as he was. I always had the impression that he had my best interests at heart, and importantly he was very up front and honest on all matters which put my mind at rest. I did some viewings with other agents within Greene and Co. and no disrespect to them but I always felt more comfortable when Saleem did them. He is very thorough and just as proactive about me getting a property as I was. Sometimes agents lose interest in clients and their property searches but Saleem is absolutely not one of them. Again, I repeat, a real pleasure to deal with.

We were supported by both Kathryn Greensmith and Katie Noakes at the West Hampstead branch with a wonderful 24 hour tunraround from initial contact for our rental property. We felt they had a brilliant range of properties that were valued at a fair price for the market. Kathryn was really attentive and gave us a lot of helpful advice and was always available to speak with us and fit in with our schedule. She was even kind enough to stay out with us until after 7.00PM on our first viewing! We would definitely recommend Greene Co. to anyone as we felt it was a very individual service and we felt looked after throughout!

We found a property to buy in West Hampstead through Scott Finn at Green & Co. Scott was very helpful, patient and reassuring, all the way through from registering as a propsective buyer, to finally negotiating and agreeing an offer. He seemed knowledgable and able to answer all our questions when we viewed properties, and he certainly wasn't pushy at any point (as we have sometimes found to be the case with other firms of estate agents). Certainly worth using if you are looking in the West Hampstead area.

I only have great things to say about Greene and Co. We bought from them for our first house in Kilburn 4 years ago, and then sold through them (after going through another agent with not a great experience). I worked directly with Soroush for our sale. To say he went above and beyond is an understatement. I am in the process of renovating and refurbishing my flat in West Hampstead, and received excellent advice from James Widdowson regarding the quality of the refurbishment, especially on points relating to what buyers expect to find in a brand newly refurbished flat. I found all the advice and guidance from James and his colleagues really helpful. I am hopeful that this would result in my getting the best price for my flat when I come to sell it eventually. I tried to sell my house via another estate agent in West Hampstead but changed to Greene & Co after the other agent was unable to take a sale through to exchange at an acceptable price (and didn't keep me fully informed of the progress of the process). I dealt with Peter and Scott at Greene & Co who were enthusiastic and very user friendly. They were always contactable and kept me informed of the progress of viewings and developments in the process. They also gave realistic and useful advice on pricing and marketing. They quickly found a buyer and, although the process took longer than expected through no fault of theirs, we have recently successfully exchanged. Selling a property (or buying one for that matter) is a horrible and stressful business, but Peter and Scott did their best to manage the process. I would certainly recommend them.

TLDR: we've got very negative experience as tenants, the agent was lying to us, causing us quite a lot of anxiety. After reference check, and accepted offer, the landlords kept delaying signing the contract for over 3 weeks. The agent (Evelyn Aragundi) communicated to us that there are no reasons for the delay, and motivated the delay with very interesting arguments "so we have everything confirmed", "they are really relaxed personalities", "they're currently travelling,", "they're very busy people", "there's no reason for this as such, I mean it's not like they're unsure". After some very involved week, we've got an email from a manager (James White) of the agent saying that "date was a bit vague until a more conclusive timeframe was confirmed".That clearly demonstrated that agent lied to us, stating that "so we have everything confirmed" while it was not. We wont make an offer in the first place, if we knew that. Worst of all, during the process we've seen no intention to clearly comunicate situation to us, and no intention to find a solution that would work for both parties.

Assumingly a "large" company but plays "dirty little" tricks wasting buyers and vendors time

We wish having seen the review titled "As untrustworthy as they come"The Canary Wharf office of Hamptons did the same to us. They confirmed in WRITTING the acceptance of our offer last Friday. We provided IDs and proof of funds on the same day that they were happy with. However, 1st thing on Monday morning they say the solicitors acting for the Vendors accepted another offer when Solicitors do not even work during the weekend. Worse still, the offer was put forward by the same office which is really odd as the property was marked SOLD on the portals already. So we echo the feedback below:As untrustworthy as they come. When making an offer on a property we found that they just simply used our offer to create a false market where there was previously no other bidder despite property being on the market for some time... Outcome being some one else has also clearly been misled and ended up paying over the odds for a property based on games. We even made the offer that they say the vendors would accept. Now they say someone offered much higher once THEY told the new buyer that some one else made an offer being accepted already hence the property is off the market. What Hamptons is playing here, is encouraging Gazumping which is bad for all parties. Not surprisingly some of their other transactions fell through thus, Vendors lose out on sales and time. Buyers and vendors wishing to work on fair market price should be wary of this dirty games as some one definitely gets hurt by wasting time and money unnecessarily.

Salisbury disappointing

If the Salisbury office functioned in the way we were initially promised, and as the web site and brochures suggest, then our sale would have gone a lot more smoothly and faster.It was shocking to find the first two viewers in the 4 days since listing whisked away to view an off-the-market, discreetly available property before they had returned for their second viewing with us. I gave notice to terminate the contract at that point. I am not paying Hamptons nearly £10,000 to sell someone else’s house.A sale was arranged however the chain involved was not exactly as portrayed to us and this eventually created difficulties and delays.Problems further up the chain are not the responsibility of Hamptons but when these were resolved I phoned and wrote to Hamptons specifically asking for the lower end of the chain to be reconfirmed and checked for completeness. Despite promises that they had I discovered 3 weeks later that emails were sent but not followed up, and we encountered further delays whilst the bottom end of the chain dealt with pre-contract issues that should have been resolved months ago and on one of the many likely days for exchange of contracts renegotiated their price.Hamptons bill was sent to my conveyancer about 10 minutes after exchange of contracts. Good to see they are efficient in some areas if not others.We met some very nice people at Hamptons including one who was really impressive. But Hamptons really need to make sure all their delivery lives up to all their promises.

Having had no success in viewings with other agents in West Hampstead I was about to return home when I saw Greene & Co. by the West Hampstead station. I went in and what a fortuitous move it turned out to be. I was introduced to Scott Finn who LISTENED and noted my requirements. Scott was completely professional (which sadly is not he current state of affairs with some agents) and a stress free relationship developed. Scott KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED......hence I am in the process of purchasing the FIRST flat he showed me. I cannot recommend Scott Finn and Greene & Co. West Hampstead enough and would strongly suggest you give them a go, you will not be disappointed......I wasn't!!!
