The Oaks at Rossbank

As everyone else we were really anxious about new builds we didn't know what to expect as there are many different stories with new builds in UK , from the first day till we moved in the process was straightforward and easy , few months of delay but that was expected so nothing wrong with that. We hired a snagging company and at the end the guy told us that the house is in top 5 % of what he is inspected with few minor snags which in few days were sorted , we are 6 months in our house and we love it . I can't speak for other sites but at The Oaks we are lucky to have the best site manager around Ian Palmer , he and his crew always ready whenever you need help 🙏 even if he is not supposed to do it he will find a way to help you , thanks for your help Ian I will see you around and you are always welcome to pop in for a coffee ☕.

Fantastic and friendly service from Lauren, Gillian and Isaac at Anwyl Homes, Victoria Mills - Holmes Chapel. The whole buying process felt relatively easy and stress free. We love our house and the area. They've solved most issues quickly and extended our snag period substantially (as my partner and I had a baby during the process) which allowed us time to settle into new routines without having to worry about work being done. We're now looking forward to our first Christmas as parents in our new home.Thank you!

Really unhelpful and really difficult

We bought our house from anwyl over a year ago, we were delayed again and again and messed about for 3 months after our initial completion date for various different reasons and moved in with 150 snags. We have had nothing but issues from anwyl, from the customer service team sending us a link to the wrong garden flags when we were extending our patio (resulting in a £50 fee to return them that anwyl refused to compensate us for) to all our snags being marked completed even though there was still over 80 left to be resolved. Over a year on and we’re still waiting for multiple snags to be completed. It takes customer service over two weeks to reply to any emails and the response is generally a complete refusal to do anything helpful what so ever. You have to write a letter to make a formal complaint which is then replied to with a condescending and once again completely unhelpful reply via email from customer service (after a few weeks). Doors for integrated kitchen appliances were supplied with no holes drilled in, I asked if someone from site could pop in and drill the holes in the doors in order for us to fit them and the email reply was “we are unable to assist you with this, we are too busy and even if we weren’t, that’s not under warranty”. Considering the amount of money spent on the house we bought from them you’d have thought they might be slightly more accommodating to simple requests like that however it seems after you complete on the house and have your 4 weeks call they completely wash their hands of you and couldn’t care less if you have any issues. When they sell you the house they make out like you can raise any issues with customer service and you’ll always be treated as a customer however in our experience we have been treated as an inconvenience whenever we have tried to contact customer service about anything subsequent to our completion. This is not a reflection on the trades people working on the site as they have been nothing but helpful, friendly and gone out of their way to assist us when we have asked. This is specifically problems with anwyl’s processes and policies and the way you are treated post completion. Personally the frustrations regarding trying to get any help whatsoever has really soured the experience of buying our home. Something that should have been exciting and fun ended up being frustrating, difficult, inconvenient, stressful and upsetting

Great customer service

Great work carried out by Chris Appleton today on two long outstanding snagging issues on a new build on the Fairways in Handforth. Plastering and repainting hole left in en-suit and repainting front door. Very friendly technician who did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Such a shame more attention isn’t undertaken at inspections on completion by site as taken 8 months to resolve.

Tiny jobsThe toilet seat had become loose in my en-suite bathroom. This is the third toilet I have had an issue with and the same problem. Only issue was that the pins are hard to get at and you require a very small Allender key to fix!Today I saw an Anwyl van in my street and approached the technician.(Lee Ashworth). The guy was extremely helpful and although he was at a different scheduled job he said he would take a quick look as it could be easily resolved. He said he would call after his lunch. He promptly came and the job was done in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much for your response and with no hesitation in helping me.

They came today to replace the back door and the panelling around it and they were so thorough and precise with their work that the finish was absolutely exceptional. Anwyl won't fix issues

We moved into our property in July 2021, and while the builders were still onsite they fixed some issues we had with roof tiles. As the builders were onsite, this job wasn't logged officially with Anwyl. Fast forward to March 2024 and we are now outside the 2 year warranty and as the job wasn't originally logged, Anwyl are refusing to fix the roof tile issues that has now reoccurred. Abbeyfields.
