GoogleThroughout the last 4 years, WB Lettings have provided an excellent service to me as a landlord.
However, my recent experience has been disappointing. While I was in the process of selling my property, they contacted my tenant about a rent increase without my knowledge or consent. This was not something I had authorised and was poorly timed given the ongoing sale.
As a result, I lost the tenant, and the buyer was subsequently able to renegotiate the purchase price. This had a significant financial impact on me.
What is most concerning is that there was no acknowledgement or accountability from WB Lettings regarding this situation. Given our long-standing professional relationship, I expected a higher level of care and communication, particularly where there was a clear potential conflict of interest, as the buyer was also their client.
Overall, while my earlier experience was positive, this incident has affected my trust in their service.

GoogleThis company do not use electricians on the industry competent person list for their EICRs. They do not get PAT tests on appliances nor carry out checks themselves. Although legislation does not require them to do so, in my opinion these deficits render risk to tenants. There is no oversight nor supervision of electricians who are not on the list. Tenants are the de facto testers of the appliances. The company’s response is that they quickly repair if an appliance is broken but this is not good enough. I have to cook with my front door open because condensation runs down the units as there is no window nor extractor fan in the kitchen and the response is that they are not obliged to duct the extractor because of the date the kitchen was installed. I have raised with the MP that legislation should be tightened up but her Govt is not interested in doing so.
