My experience with Hunters was deeply…

My experience with Hunters was deeply disappointing. Repeated administrative errors relating to notices and tenancy handling caused unnecessary delays, additional time, and avoidable stress during possession proceedings. When I recently contacted the branch again regarding future instructions, I was informed in a dismissive manner that they no longer wished to work with me due to previous disputes, disputes which arose from their own handling failures. Professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication appear seriously lacking based on my experience!

I do not have words enough to express how amazing is this company with their entire team. They make every moment special, easy and comfortable to arrange everything for your family with constant contact through email or phone call. We would like to offer our special compliment to Tayla our lovely agent, that has been nice, kind and very competent since the first call we made. Thank you all the team involved. Any deal with them and you will not regret at all, believe me!

Called up to enquire about a property this branch had, could not get past the receptionist to have a chat with anyone on sales to start with. Did an online enquiry no one came back to me, called back again to speak with the manager, and again could not get past the receptionist. Was told the property was still available however the owner wanted to move quickly, confirmed I could as I’m a cash buyer, but still they wasn’t interested! Oh well!

"Avoid Hunters Property Management

"Avoid Hunters Property Management, Inefficient, Rude, and Unprofessional"My experience with Hunters Property Management has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. They have consistently demonstrated poor service, inefficiency, and a dismissive attitude towards tenant concerns.Ineffective Issue Resolution: Hunters fails to handle even basic maintenance issues. For example, a heating issue during winter was passed to the landlord without any attempt to troubleshoot. I had to step in and take personal risks to resolve the problem myself, only to discover it was a simple battery replacement. Their inability to perform even basic triage highlights their lack of professionalism and problem-solving capabilities.Creating Gaps Between Tenants and Landlords: Instead of acting as a competent mediator, Hunters merely relays messages between tenants and landlords, causing delays and unnecessary misunderstandings. This approach has damaged the relationship between myself and the landlord, as the agency often fails to communicate effectively or accurately.Rude and Dismissive Behavior: The staff frequently respond to concerns with a dismissive tone, making tenants feel unsupported and undervalued. Their arrogant demeanor gives the impression that addressing tenant concerns is a favor rather than their responsibility.Neglecting Tenant Safety and Comfort: Health and safety issues, such as rat infestations and malfunctioning alarms, were not addressed promptly, despite the serious risks they posed. The lack of urgency in handling these matters has caused significant stress and discomfort for my family.Minimal Value Added: Hunters operates more like a messenger than a property management service. They fail to provide meaningful solutions and seem content to pass the burden of responsibility onto others, leaving tenants to fend for themselves.Overall, Hunters Property Management has proven to be unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive. Both tenants and landlords deserve better. I strongly advise against using their services if you value timely resolutions, respect, and effective communication.

Viewed a rental property

Viewed a rental property. I wanted to proceed but then told they wanted to collect more interest and no communication whatsoever. Absolute shocking service and wouldn't recommend at all. Thankfully I got no further with my application, well I guess I don't know cause they never come back to me. What a joke!!

lettings fees are very high

For lettings their fees are very expensive. First 3 months of my 450 rent studio flat they took and I did not get anything. When tenant leaves another month will be gone as inventory check is 180 and cleaning in 250 and this is for a studio flat. If i want to cancel the contract i have to pay 900. Stay away.

UPDATE: As a business person, you need to be a big person to accept criticism. Such behaviour should not be tolerated. If you are a client or not, to disclose more correspondence going forward ? in my opinion, professional and confidential conduct and integrity are expected. To refer that I expected a free valuation? I am sorry, everyone. I did not know we had to pay for appraisal valuation? Or perhaps Hunters Bromley & Chislehurst do expect to be paid . Adrian tone and professional conduct are concerning and such as his false allegations and response to a review . It's worrying and even more concerning when coming from a business owner Previous: On another note, you are the one who rang me complaining about my ex partner for being you remember. You knew the situation beforehand, or you were only nosy to see inside my property only. As you could not access with my ex partner on your first attempt. You have also actually disclosed emails correspondence of such between him and yourself. I was honest since the very first day. My instructions were to value the property and nothing else. I never made any comments about any legal actions to you.You again are launching and disclosing private matters that don't look good on you and your business. You should comply with the client’s confidentiality, which obviously you breach I am reviewing Hunters Bromley & Chislehurst franchise, which is somehow managed by Adrian . Upon requesting a visit to value my property, Adrian has indeed attended, although he has refused to provide a valuation of the present condition of my property. I am unsure of the reason ,probably due to not being capable of valuing the property. As a such, i would not recommend Hunters Bromley & Chislehurst branch as I found Adrian unprofessional and a waste of time

People divorcing or separating and wanting to use an estate agent for a free valuation which should be provided and paid for by a chartered surveyor, as explained to both of you, is no reason to leave a vindictive one star review! Paula, I explained to you and your former partner that you needed to have someone that can act as an expert witness, as such disputes invariably always end up in court. It was also not helped by the fact that you are in a further legal dispute with the developer that you purchased your flat from and it is currently stripped out bare as a shell putting all the defects right. My 27 years in the business has taught me to not get involved or be used in such a fashion. Sorry that did not meet with what you had hoped to achieve in your two ongoing disputes. People reading this reply should know that if they want an experienced estate agent that knows what they are talking about, they should come to Hunters. Further to your extra comments, may I remind you that our email evidence will prove otherwise. I don't know why you are acting as you are when Hunters have been nothing more than consummate professionals from day one when you first contacted us pretending that you were wanting to sell your flat and seeking a free valuation.

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton!

I have only great things to say about Hunters Middleton branch! From the very first phone call right up to exchanging contacts They have been beyond brilliant. I absolutely loved the pictures of my house and the write up most definitely did my house justice. My house sold within 4 days and I was over the moon with the price!Nicole was the shining star for me- she kept in daily contact and was the most reassuring and helpful person every single step of the process. She chased up people when they needed it ensuring the sale moved along at pace. Thank you so much Hunters but especially a massive thank you to Nicole- you have been amazingly!

Disappointed is an understatement..

To say we’re disappointed with the level of communication from the Horncastle Branch with Michael and Susan Noonan is an understatement and the level of service is a far cry from Michael's commitment to customer experience.Researching this branch shows multi-occasions that this activity has happened here.If you’re viewing a property with the intent to buy, don’t expect them to tell you if any other parties are interested. They’ll just pull it from under your feet along with any visions or excitement of a future you had in said house.Viewed a property two weeks ago, following the viewing we had a really positive conversation with Susan in the office expressing great interest, no more than a week later sold to another buyer with no communication. It would have been professional and courteous to reach out to the buyer but more so to the seller, as I’m certain they would like to have known of other interest. Susan and Michael took away any opportunity or chance to put in any offers, resulting in many wasted hours.I wouldn’t usually leave a review; but the tone in which Susan delivered the news was blunt, lacked any sort of empathy and very closed, to date I am still waiting for a reply to my email which I can only assume has been ignored. We will steer clear of this company for future sales and purchases, knowing that their priority doesn’t appear to be with either buyer or seller.Happy to receive a call or email to discuss our experience with you.

Hunters are not interested

Hunters let the house adjacent to ours. There have been multiple pipe leaks around the bathroom causing flooding which in turn is causing damp smells on our side due to the length of time taken to address the issues. It's been repaired after four weeks now within hours water is currently coming through the ceiling next door soaking our party wall and they have told the tennant it's livable no problem.

Expert advice! - Thank you Tom Moorhouse!

Expert advice! The lovely Tom Moorhouse came to value our house on 22/08/2026. He gave sound, candid advice which my husband and I are extremely appreciative of. Although we are not in the position to list our house right now (no fault of Tom's), we'll certainly be back within 12 months.

Awful

Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" £200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

I would completely recommend avoiding…

I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

Sales progression team lied and not very professional.

We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

Damaged our house, and we're not even their clients!

Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.

Agent Harj was full of fake promises

Agent Harj was full of fake promises. Although he was all smiles and seemed friendly, the minute we left after our viewing he didn’t return texts or calls and shyed away from any contact. After several calls to the agents I finally managed to find out myself that the property had been given to someone else, rather than them calling me to inform me I had to dig this information out of them which was frustrating. Avoid!

Bad communication

I have been trying to contact them for 4 months in regards to my flat and contract but they are absolutely appalling at responses and making things clear and helpful for those they are letting to. They have sent me in so many different directions on who to contact and have stopped responding to me within one week of me first contacting them. On top of this it took them weeks to respond and report to maintenance issues, and when they did the response I got was rude and abrupt. As well as that they issues weren't resolved fully resulting in me feeling uneasy in what was meant to be my own space. Absolutely awful service and wouldn't even consider letting/renting from them again.

Pathetic estate agency

Pathetic estate agency! The guy who is showing properties mixing up addresses and you end up viewing a different one. If you make an offer they show a very keen interest in person then no-one ever comes back to you. The property owners will never get to find out who made offers and they may just losing out on perfectly good tenants…!They do not even talk to each other within the office to relay interest. You get a bunch of promise, but that is all!Laura is useless!

Appalling group of folks! This group has no idea what they are doing. we worked with Selina and she was absolutely clueless and brought wrong/unverified information to the table. If I were looking to rent, I would be running as far as possible from this agency or owners they work with! if there were minus points that is what I would give them for ripping a kid off!
