I had a truly wonderful experience with Lawton and Dawe, and I want to give a special thank you to Pippa, who was absolutely exceptional throughout the entire process. As a first-time buyer, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, especially as I’d always heard that buying a property can be extremely stressful. However, Pippa made the entire experience feel calm, clear, and well managed from start to finish. She was professional, supportive, and incredibly responsive throughout. She kept me informed every step of the way and was always available to answer questions or offer reassurance when needed, which made a huge difference. I also briefly met Skye on completion day, who was lovely and very helpful, a really nice touch at the end of the process. What really stood out to me was the warmth and genuine care throughout, it never felt like just a transaction. Everything was handled smoothly, and communication between all parties was excellent. I’m so grateful for all the support in helping me secure my new home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pippa and the team at Lawton and Dawe to anyone looking for a professional and genuinely caring estate agent. I contacted Lawton and Dawe Properties when I needed to sell my house towards the end of 2020. I had used Lawton and Dawe's Lettings Services for a long time and have been very impressed with their levels of service and excellent communication so I decided they were the ones to talk to! I dealt with Pippa, she was very helpful throughout the process and ensured that everything went smoothly and we sold very quickly and moved in February 2021! I have used Lawton and Dawe to manage my rental property for many years and all I can say is if you are unhappy with your existing managing agents speak to them today! Myself and a friend moved into a property using Lawton and Dawe. We found them slightly unprofessional at the beginning but nothing that concerned us too much. However when it came to us moving out of the property the landlady tried to keep a large chunk of our deposit for so called 'damages' and 'repairs' and Lawton and Dawe fully backed her on these claims and even lied about things they had told us as tenants when we moved into the property. In the end I contacted the TDS who looked into the case, studied all the emails and documents and decided in our favour as they could see it was unfair that we were being charged for things that were ridiculous. After this my opinion of Lawton and Dawe was not a good one. They very much took the side of the landlady because she was a good friend and had used their agency for years and it didn't matter that what the landlady was asking was wrong. I expect if you are a landlord/lady then they are a good company to use but as a tenant I would never trust them.
