GoogleCheckmate recently sold my Mothers property after she sadly passed away, Andrew made the process a pleasant stress free experience he couldn't do enough He was at the end of the phone whenever I need help. All I did was hand him the keys he took care of everything else, he also had some repairs done for me as I was not the area, I can't recommend Checkmate highly enough, they're legal team also went above and beyond to ensure. the sale went through smoothly

As everyone knows, moving can be incredibly stressful, but I have to give a big thank you to Andrew and the entire team at Checkmates. They made the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free. I literally didn’t have to lift a finger, any issues that came up were dealt with straight away, professionally and efficiently. GoogleAndrew is the worst agent. We tried to sell our house indirectly with checkmate. Andrew demonstrated very poor communication through out the process. More importantly, he kept our house on the market for more than 10 days against our clear instructions and without any binding contract. I am sure this is illegal. I would definitely avoid checkmate in the future.

GoogleVery disappointing experience overall. Communication from Checkmate Estates was unclear and contradictory throughout my tenancy. Different people gave different explanations, and the role of the landlord versus the agent was never transparent. At times I was told to deal with the landlord directly, and at other times I was told not to contact him at all. This inconsistency made the process extremely stressful. I also found the tone and manner of communication from Niyad to be unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. Instead of supporting a tenant trying to resolve genuine issues, I often felt spoken to in a dismissive and intimidating way. This did not feel like a fair or respectful landlord, tenant relationship. It also became clear during my time there that several other units in the building were occupied by people closely connected to the landlord/agent, while I was put through extensive affordability checks and requirements. This resulted in an experience where I felt treated differently and not on equal footing. In the end, I had no choice but to take my deposit to formal dispute resolution through the MyDeposits scheme. The independent adjudicator ruled that nearly the full deposit should be returned to me, which speaks for itself. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through this agency to document everything in writing and make sure you are fully aware of your rights. My experience was stressful, unfair, and handled very poorly.

Nylah, went above and beyond, at every stage to make sure my family and I got our dream home. Her advice was always clear and she worked really hard to push our exchange through. She was very helpful throughout the whole process, from doing a lot of chasing up on my behalf, and getting the process moving and over the line, even caring afterwards.
