Brilliant service!

We have had a genuinely brilliant experience with Jones Homes throughout the whole process of buying our new home. From the very beginning, everything has been handled professionally, clearly and with a really personal touch. The communication has been excellent, and we have always felt kept informed and supported at every stage. A special mention has to go to Sandra, our Sales Advisor, who has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She has been friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Nothing has ever felt like too much trouble, and she has always been happy to answer our questions, keep us updated and make the whole experience feel as smooth and exciting as possible. Buying a new home is such a huge milestone, and Sandra has genuinely helped make the experience a really positive and memorable one for us. She is an absolute credit to Jones Homes. We are also extremely pleased with Jones Homes as a whole. The level of service, communication and care we have received has been excellent, and based on our experience so far, we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering buying a new-build home. A massive thank you to Sandra and everyone at Jones Homes for everything so far, we really appreciate it and cannot wait to move into our new home!

Was a lovely experience

Was a lovely experience, didn’t feel any pressure and very informative throughout Sandra and the team did their very best to accomodate anything I needed. (even asking for an outside tap to be fitted last minute!) Every member of the team was personable, friendly, approachable and very very easy to ask questions and help where they could. Jones Homes helped to sell my property which also took a huge amount of stress and financial worry away. It was all very seamless. I would highly recommend! I can’t wait to move into my new home!

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience Our experience with Jones Homes has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. There was a huge amount of pressure around getting the purchase completed before the end of the year, which made an already stressful process even more difficult. We were constantly conscious of deadlines and the pressure to move in, despite the property not being in the condition we expected a brand-new home to be in. When we finally moved in, the state of the house was honestly shocking for a new build. There were numerous issues, including poor workmanship, marks and damage, and areas that clearly had not been finished to the standard you would expect when paying a substantial amount of money for a brand-new home. What has been particularly disappointing is the customer service afterwards. Once the sale was completed, it felt like getting issues addressed became considerably harder. Communication has been poor and dealing with problems has been incredibly frustrating. Buying a new home should be an exciting experience. Instead, the pressure to complete, the condition of the property and the experience we’ve had trying to get issues resolved have taken a lot of that excitement away. For the amount of money you pay, I expected a much higher standard of workmanship and customer service. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Jones Homes based on our experience.

We bought a house on the Cavendish Park…

We bought a house on the Cavendish Park development at Bolsover. Basically it was a nightmare from start to finish. We moved in and the house was finished to a very poor standard with cheap paint on the walls(undercoat only). The grouting in the tiles in the hallway/kitchen was filthy and we never managed to get it clean. There was paint all over the carpets which we had to remove. Bear in mind the house was finished when we agreed the purchase in October 24 so they had plenty of time to sort out the problems by the time we moved in February 25. Sweet talking from Jaz in the sales office but as she told my wife when she rang her a week after moving in(about all the faults she should have sorted before we moved in)-'Sweetie I only sold you the house' Things got worse- both showers leaked through the ceiling so we had workmen in for the 1st 2 weeks.The guttering was leaking badly causing the back garden to flood. The plumbing firm they use are absolutely useless employing young inexperienced staff who couldn't care less.We paid for an extra tap to be fitted under the sink and after fitting the young plumber forgot to tighten up all the sink waste.That night the unit under the sink was flooded. This tap should have been fitted before we moved in as we'd paid extra for it. Every person who moved into a new property whilst we were there experienced a leak through the ceiling from the showers. The site manager's philosophy was 'wait until the problem appears before sorting it out' No thought of testing them before people moved in. We bought plot 121 next door but one to the site manager who pressured us to leave good feedback initially but never really sorted out the problems to a sufficiently high standard. Out of his depth in that job. We sold after only 9 months and took a large loss. Back in Nottingham now thank goodness. If anyone from Jones Homes wants to contact me I can enlighten you to a lot of things.

Great House - lovely development

We’ve just moved into our Jones Home on Lambcote Meadows. Sandra and her team made sure the process was as smooth as possible. The Simply Move scheme really helped us get moved in. The house is lovely and is of a really high quality. Any contact with the site team pre/post moving in has been really positive. They have been professional, punctual and effective. We highly recommend Jones Homes.

Poor Quality

After living in two previous new-build properties by other developers, my experience with Jones Homes has been significantly worse. The volume of issues has been far higher than expected, and several remain unresolved even after 18 months. Drainage is a recurring problem that continues to affect the downstairs toilet. Although it’s been “fixed” multiple times, the issue keeps returning, pointing to a deeper design or installation fault rather than a one-off blockage. The home audio system has not worked since move-in. The aerial appears to have been installed in an inaccessible location, and despite this being a clear installation issue, it has effectively been left unresolved without explanation. The external doors are marketed as “Secure by Design,” however the required 3-star barrel locks have not been fitted. This is a basic security expectation and should not be overlooked. I’d assume this is intentional for cost saving. This is an obvious omission for those that know however it does raise a serious question on how many other omissions have been made in less obvious areas of the property. There are numerous other snags beyond these examples. Overall, the quality of workmanship and the approach to resolving issues fall well below what I would expect from a new-build home, especially with a premium price tag. Strongly suggest avoiding this developer, unless you want disappointment.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Jones Homes for making our journey into our new home such a fantastic experience! From the very beginning when we found our new home , Jazz in sales was absolutely amazing! She was so warm welcoming and knowledgeable and nothing was ever to much trouble, her communication throughout the whole process was excellent keeping us updated with a weekly call making the whole experience feel so much easier and more enjoyable. We’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Carl the site manager , Louis and the whole aftercare team, and we honestly couldn’t fault them.Everyone has been friendly, approachable and professional and any little niggles we’ve had have been dealt with quickly and without fuss. Lambcote Meadows

We would like to thank all at Lambcote Meadows for our beautiful new home. We love the house design itself, the location and the development. It’s a quiet estate, even though properties are still being built along our row. We were prepared for a lot of noise and dust, but we wouldn’t know that work is taking place. We’ve had very few snags at this point, in fact most we’d have happily resolved ourselves as minor paint jobs. We were however encouraged to report them for the team to resolve, so nothing felt like too much trouble. Other than a faulty appliance that was not Jones Homes responsibility but was swapped within an hour of reporting it, we have had no issues at all and we have been in the property a couple of weeks now. With thanks to the joiner and painter that completed a couple of jobs very quickly, and professionally (with their own hoover!). We could not be happier with our house and the very professional aftercare from all on site. Thank you also to Sandra for getting us to the position of finding our perfect house, which was not our first choice but ended up being the best option for us long term. New build would never have been our first choice and we’ve read a lot of horror stories so we are really happy we chose Jones Homes and that it’s all worked out so much better than we expected.

We are in the final process of buying…

We are in the final process of buying our 2nd Jones homes property on Westlow Heath. Terri helped us with our original purchase 7 years ago and was incredible then and this time round even though she is no longer based at our estates sales office she was still on hand to help without any hesitation. This is one of the many reasons why we are sticking with Jones, the houses are beautifully built, the estate has real community spirit and Jones’s staff are genuine and care even its 7 years down the line. Purchased this property nearly a year…

Purchased this property nearly a year ago and the snags are still not complete. poor customer service from the start and the construction manager ben is a complete waste of space, excuse after excuse for the poor workmanship they couldn’t care less once they have your money, the LVT floor that we paid extra for has been laid by someone that appears to have no experience and they have tried to hide the short cuts with silicone ! And the garden is a joke uneven with a huge slope and grass that looks like it’s been taken from the farmers field would be nice to have contact from someone that isn’t Ben Bowen

He is an friendly and polite member of the team and I cannot fault him for his honesty or the work that he has done for us. Please think twice before purchasing with Jones

Please think twice before purchasing from this company. Everything is brilliant and kind pre purchase you get in your house are left with 100s of snags and ongoing issues, end up getting work done yourself to try and get them done as the time and effort you have to try and get anything resolved once they leave site is awful. Customer services for Lancashire are appalling, they deny, lie, drag out issues. They have now caused further issues to our property on adapting the road and deny responsibility and lie about works carried out leaving us with another issue that will cost us £100s to fix. Once they have your money they soon become unhelpful. I would advise thinking twice before purchasing a property through them, the stress that comes with it really isn’t worth it. As you can see on here the 30% of 1 star ratings are asked to contact customer services to discuss further but these are the people who take weeks to respond and are no help in getting issued fix instead try to pass blame. Escalation process and formal complaints are none existent they don’t get past customer services no matter how many times you ask. Absolutely diabolical

We had a very positive experience buying our new home from Jones Homes. From the initial viewing through to completion, the whole process was handled professionally and smoothly. The sales team were extremely helpful, friendly, and always available to answer our questions. They kept us informed at every stage, which made the journey much less stressful. The home demonstration before moving in was also very useful and gave us confidence in everything. The build quality and design of the house are excellent, and we’re really happy with our new home. Any minor snagging issues were addressed promptly by the team, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely recommend Jones Homes to anyone looking for a new build property.

Avoid Jones Homes Garstang

To any new home buyers looking for a Jones Homes property in Garstang, Avoid at all costs!. The NHBC warranty is literally not worth the paper its written on and no matter how bad the works are, the NHBC will always favour Jones. The Jones Homes party trick will refer you to the NHBC if you disagree with anything, knowing full well that the NHBC have their back and that nothing will be done. Any defects will be the fault of the homeowner. I have even been accused of sabotaging my own property in writing by construction director of Lancashire Alex Bedson. They will turn up to your house with the NHBC and bully you into thinking you are wrong. If you have a complaint, you will always be referred back to Mr Bedson. I have had 2 years of hell because of these people and I intend to get local and National MPs involved even if I have to fight this for the next 10 years. I advise everyone to take a good look not only at Jones Homes Reviews but also the NHBC reviews. There is a pattern. This is a major issue and concern.

The house was absolutely immaculate, the service from start to finish was excellent especially from your sales coordinator at the Burgess Hill site of Folders Grove, Rachel Worley was brilliant, from chasing up the solicitors in the chain every week and keeping me updated down to sorting out any last minute hitches, Rachel was professional all the way through.
