Having offered nearly 10% more for a property than it eventually went on to sell for we had to make the tough decision to walk away, solely because the seller wanted even more. Which would be fine (I respect their decision), were it not for Harvey Scott's extraordinarily aggressive phone calls, challenging and undermining our offers. There were too many conversations that went on too much longer than they needed to, with them just talking over us and trying to make us feel like our offers were idiotic, offensive and unacceptable. It was just a horrible experience dealing with an agency lacking in respect and integrity.

Renting a property through Harvey Scott was probably the worst 8 month period of my life. The property in question was full of damp and black mould that had been painted over and hidden, which I appreciate isn’t HS fault, but could of easily been picked up with a proper survey. However, the staff were getting the cleaners to do their property surveys during their final clean, which I believe was part of a fraudulent operation that lead to half the team being sacked. Corrupt staff/mouldy properties aside - the level of customer service throughout my tenure has been nothing short of terrible and I have wasted so much time and energy chasing them. Very quick to contact me to tell about a a fee they’ve forgotten to tell me about, or a bogus claim about energy bills from a difficult landlord - but never there when I’m trying to get someone to help me a with a house that was putting my young children’ health at risk or literally destroying my belongings daily with black mould! George (who is a nice man, and has been a shining light in parts) seems to be the only person working or capable of reply. When he emails to say ‘I’m on holiday but I’ll pass this to my colleague’ - you know that is the same as saying ‘you’ll have to wait until i get back’ as I’m sure the names he mentions as his cover don’t exist. Life is hard enough for tenants. Choose a different letting agent.

My landlord took their business elsewhere and I see why. The amount of staff that have left this company says it all. Amy George and Louis were the only staff who looked after me the other staff do not know what they are doing about lettings they never returned phone calls and don’t seem to care. I am now a happy tenant being looked after. Stay clear of Harvey Scott.

Great experience with Harvey Scott when purchasing my first house. Considering I was new to the process, all the staff were accommodating and always on hand to answer any questions I had. Exceptional service when it came to cleaning the house before I moved in. Neil went above and beyond to ensure that the house was clean top to bottom and the carpets were even cleaned twice. Would highly recommend, especially to first time buyers.

Their team were outstanding, from the people in the office to the Sales Progression Team (something I hadn't come across before - but what a great idea - chasing up the sale on your behalf), I couldn't fault them.
