Absolutely amazing from the start. Went to view a property last week late afternoon, once viewing the property i put in an application to rent the property and was told it could take up to a week for the referencing to come back, the following morning I received a phone called to confirm all my referencing has passed and to arrange a move in date. In all my time renting this has been the most fastest and less stressful experience I have ever experienced while renting a property! They have been so supportive and very helpful from the get go and have also sent me emails to help set up new bills at the new property which has helped alot and really has just took so much stress away. When receiving the keys yesterday the checks done on the property was so professional and every smoke alarm was checked and any not working was replaced immediately with brand new replacements in their cars. Could not be more thankful for how smooth the whole process has gone and how helpful and professional Tracy and the team has been. Absolutely amazing experience and a massive thanks to Tracy and the team at the Blackburn branch! Would highly recommend this company if your looking for a less stressful, professional and very speedy experience. A***

We rented out our property

We rented out our property, signed for a full management. Was is a THEFT, unlawfull enriechment into their pocket? Entwistle Green/Countrywide made two incorrect HMRC annual reports that hid their real income and incorrectly made our higher income, ignored our complaints; they also deducted our income rental money by £710 per repairs without a quote, photos, documentation provided to us, and totally ignored our complaints. They done it again. Nobody cared. Another time, they deducted our rental income for repairs that has not been done. Their negligence, ignorance, careless, and damages to our house showed after one rental year, after second year, the market value of our property dropped down by £30000 from year 2023 when cash offer was offerred as high as £139000 by a fast buyer when we maintained our house by ourselves and kept it in tip top condition, inside and outside, before Entwistle Green took over the management. Entwistle Green left the tenants in unrepaired house over Christmas with leaking water on tenants' heads. We terminated the contract, no full check-out report, no inspection report to changes they made to our house with water, electricity or gas, installed a new kitchen without any permission, the house was left after tenants moved out leaving damages, a dirt, a mess. In addition, unclaimed insurance, unpaid rent, the repairs in 2025 and 2026 paid from our rental income deducted without our consent or permission, the value of our property dropped down by £30000 as Entwistle Green left it, ignored our complaints, Entwitle Green is a part of Countrywide Group and Connells Group. Nobody cared. Is it way do deal with clients? Is this way of their wellfare? Their ignorance, putting phone down, refusing to say their name, no replies, missing rental invome, chaos-mess in their money reserve that did not match the figures, negligence, nonody knew what the other person was doing, several people answered differently or the opposite facts,...

LANDLORDS LISTEN AND BEWARE Do not use this agency, they take as much money as they can , they wash their hands of any complaints raised . They say they vet the tennants , yes of course they do . They say they will make sure the tennants leave the property as it was handed over . Mine was left in a right state it took me months to clean it up with me bearing all the costs and them reaping all the rewards . Trying to claim the damage from the security deposit was a waste of 4 months of my life , sending letters and photos only for them to take all that money I was awarded too. Truly shocking state of affairs . DO NOT USE THESE AT ANY COST

Shocking …

Unfortunately our experience with this Maghull branch is shocking! Our property manager Carlie replies to emails at best 3-4 weeks later. Can never get in touch with anyone in the office. Told you will get a call back and don’t. We have been letting a properly for about 3 years with this company and it’s a joke. Have damp patches in two of the 3 bedrooms to the point the pain it peeling off and the brown damp patches on the bay window are awful.

Everyone we spoke to at Thornton Entwistle Green was really helpful. We started out with a panicky moment when we couldn't actually get into the property for them to do a valuation, but Shorna calmed us down and thought of plenty of alternatives. On occasions when we rang the office, everyone there seemed up-to-date on the status of the sale. It didn't really matter who answered the phone. They did all the viewings by themselves and made things really easy for us. I was touched by their enthusiasm for the property, when sometimes I couldn't appreciate it myself. It was an aunt's house and she hadn't been well enough to look after it for a while. As we don't live locally, we were particularly dependent on the estate agent to take care of everything. They recommended a good auctioneers, who were also really professional. I would definitely recommend Thornton Entwistle Green.

Obstructive and awful experience

This is a review for the Bury branch. I am an 84 year old widow and I am absolutely disgusted with the way this company acts, and I will be pursuing them further, through the Property Ombudsmen. They were not providing an adequate service, with hidden charges and poor value for money, and when I tried to change to a different estate agent they claimed they were not receiving any emails. I know for a fact they were sent these emails by the other estate agents, as we were cc'd in the email chain, and Entwistle Green are just being deliberately obstructive. They have carried on in this way for the past few weeks, and they are causing me a lot of stress.

I would strongly advise anyone to think carefully before using Entwistle Green based on my experience. The most serious issue was that they allowed a surveyor into my property unsupervised and without my permission. During the visit, damage was caused to my property. Rather than accepting responsibility or trying to resolve the matter fairly, Entwistle Green repeatedly refused to take any accountability. After a long and frustrating process, I had no option but to take my complaint to The Property Ombudsman. The Ombudsman ruled in my favour and awarded compensation. However, even after an independent decision had been made, Entwistle Green still failed to pay. I ultimately had to threaten legal action before they finally released the compensation that had already been awarded. The entire experience was stressful, time-consuming and completely avoidable. A mistake can happen in any business, but how a company responds is what matters. In my case, there was no ownership of the problem, poor communication throughout, and I was forced to escalate matters every step of the way. I would not use Entwistle Green again and cannot recommend them based on my experience.

It's like a nightmare

Our landlord works with Entwistle Green and, to be clear, we have no issue with the landlord himself. He was very fair, confirmed from the beginning that we had left the property in excellent condition, and approved the full return of our deposit. Despite this, dealing with Entwistle Green was extremely frustrating. Our calls were repeatedly unanswered, our emails were ignored, and when we visited the office in person, we were given excuses and staff appeared unwilling to speak with us. Even though our landlord had already authorised the full refund, it took nearly two months for us to receive our deposit. The lack of communication and unnecessary delay caused a great deal of stress. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise tenants and landlords to think carefully before using this agency.

My experience was very poor when using them for selling property via Flyp. They did not respond promptly to the buyers when their colleague was on leave and no one covered that colleague's work/monitored the email. The deal was nearly fell through because of it! They also failed to issue the MOS to both parties correctly and they sent it to the solicitor who had not been instructed (Wrong solicitors for both buyer and seller sides). They did not take the selling seriously! Please do Think Twice before you instruct them for selling! Besides, their email for complaint is not working. Will definitely escalate to the property Ombudsman.

I can’t fault the staff at Entwistle Green Thornton. I always felt heard, looked after and understood as to what I wanted out of selling my house. The girls are lovely and friendly but they also have that perfect mix of professionalism that you need from an estate agent. They found a buyer pretty quickly and got the ball rolling. Their fees are reasonable compared to others in the area. I would highly recommend their service.

Be aware of Entwistle Green, Countrywide Group, under Connells Group in the UK

We signed a contract for full management with Entwistle Green in Widnes (co-firm of Countrywide and Connells Group) to rent out our property. They caused us damage on a value of our property by about £30000. They concealed their income in Annual tax report to HMRC repeatedly, ignored our complaints, refused to do check up, charged us money for work which has not been supported by any evidence, they charged us for uncomplete services, they have not cared about the law and the rights, they puy phone down or did not pick up their phone, the have not replied, ignored us to provide the documentation, they told answers differently from thr facts, and also the opposite between their workers, they caused irretrievable damages to us-landlord. Entwistle Green and Countrywide team went on Christmas holiday and knowingly left a leaking water on the tenants' heads. They were irresponsible ignorants, uselest unprofessionals, told us the lies, has not provided documentation and services ordered by the law, uncomplete documentatipn, reports, in entory, and check-out report for which they charged us they deducted our rental income without any documentation, quotes, photos for and after repairs, they allowed tenants to change a whole kitchen without our consent, if they changed gas, electricity, or water they had not made the revision reports, they caused us-the landlord many problems, they have not cared about 6x unpaid rent in two months arrears but told us that everything was fine, that the tenants were happy. They made us to feel that we were robbed and the law was ineffective to protect us-the landlord.

I had a very rare experience when visiting this property sales shop. I was greeted by a young woman that was very knowledgeable and polite. Provided me with a lot of information. I only realised she was the branch manager when she had to excuse herself to take a call.
