Do not use these estate agents. They are unprofessional and incompetent. We tried listing with them. They promised us a premium listing on rightmove, professional photography and a video. They took photos but I would hardly describe them as professional. There were multiple photos where he'd left his equipment lying on the floor and got them in shot! We'd spent days cleaning and preparing only for the 'professional' photographer to make our house look messy by taking photos of his equipment dumped on the floor! Considering I was moving a hoover and toy box from room to room and instructed the photographer to not get them in shot. He got them in shot multiple times in the 3D tour. So he wasn’t even looking at what he was taking photos of! And no video was provided as promised! They listed on rightmove with no floorplan, then they uploaded an incorrect floorplan showing our 3 bed as a 2 bed and missing a toilet! It wasn’t a premium listing as promised. Over 1 week later no for sale sign on a busy road. We then tried to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period and they want to charge us £250+VAT for “services provided!” Do not list with these estate agents under any circumstances.

Why 3 Star The estate agent was okay and kept me updated etc. I used them as they were nearby. I wish I'd used another conveyancing firm though. Let's be honest many houses sell themselves like mine did they just added it to Zoopla etc Yes they did manage viewing etc and keep me updated via text and email this lulls you into a false sense of security to agree to using their solicitor arm for conveyancing. The worst thing about the experience was the estate agent is just a portal to get you to use their abysmal conveyance service with their solicitor arm. This was horrible. I've bought and sold 8 houses in 20 years so I know when it's rubbish. There was no communication in conveyancing at all only right at the end when things needed signing ( ie they were ready to get their hands on the fees ) which is very poor. I know this is about the estate agent but it's a a way to lull you into their solicitor arm steer clear. I mean Danny and co were let down by referring me to their solicitor arm

Recently purchased my first home using Curtis law as my conveyancer following a recommendation from a friend. Charlotte Hartley and her team were 1st class throughout. I set quite an aggressive timeline for when I wanted to complete and they were able to meet my request whilst also effectively managing my expectations. I made a phone enquiry about a property recently, David received my call , he was so helpful and was open and honest about the property he offered information on repairs that would need attention he also spent time talking through the pros and cons with the property, he had been the valuer on this property and had a good insight to it. a viewing was arranged, Simon showed me around the property and again he was insightful and friendly ,I called the office for a second viewing with a builder, again David spent time on the phone helping to arrange a time to suit. The office staff I dealt with chole and Jess were also polite and very helpful keeping me up to date with a complexed sale. I am not planning to move any time soon but if I did Curtis law would be the first to contact.

28th February 2025 my flat sale completed. It was a huge relief as the flat first went on sale in June 2024. I went with Curtis Law Estate Agents as Simon was thorough and detailed about the process and explained everything that would happen. Chloe took amazing pictures of the flat, none of those weird elongated pictures. The whole process of selling the flat, back in June, took 2 weeks from advertising the flat, getting buyers to look around the flat on the same day and a buyer being found. You are kept up to date with viewings and a reminder is also sent for when a buyer is going to view. Unfortunately the first sale fell through, and then the second one did too. But Simon and Jessica were on hand to reassure and get the flat sold through this time. It was third time lucky, and drop in sale price, but I was happy that the sale was going through. When I emailed Simon or Jessica they got back to me straight away and kept me informed. I would highly recommend Curtis Law Estate Agents.

Estate agents don't have a good reputation, and in fact we were being pressured by another agent when we contacted Curtis Law, and they changed our experience. They gave us a value which was optimistic (higher than the other agent) because we weren't in an immediate hurry to sell, so we were very happy to test the market. In the event, they found us a buyer immediately at that price (thanks Danny), they kept us updated when anything happened (thanks Jessica) and altogether they were professional and reliable at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. All that, and they charged half what the other agent would have. Got me a better price and charged me less for doing it - what's not to like?

From beginning to end our sale and purchase were handled professionally and we were kept informed through out the process. Feed back was received from viewers and shared with us in a timely fashion, viewings were conducted at times to suit us, the sales photos and on line details were clearly presented. Horrendous from start to finish Professional photography and detailed floorplan?? Had to add my own photos and amend their incorrect floorplan because he didn’t even have a pen. Just made notes on his mobile. Not very professional Poor client registration and qualifying financial status They have no relationship with their solicitors that they refer their clients to. The solicitors lied to and fed misinformation to the estate agents when asked for updates. That’s when they actually managed to get updates even though at the time they were located in the same building Stay away from their solicitors and if your buyer or anyone in the chain is using them refuse to proceed. They do not review files on a weekly basis, it was more like every 3 weeks on our sale. The estate agents aren’t trained enough in my opinion. They lacked knowledge on the sales progression side which really jeopardised our sale. We complained during the sale and this must have annoyed them as we then didn’t get any contact for nearly 4 weeks after that. From accepting the offer it took over 6 months to complete We complained again after completion and their response was that because we weren’t the client they wouldn’t deal with us. They were happy to take our instruction to list the property, approve details, accept the offer and chase the sale for them on behalf of a family member but when it came to calling them out on how unprofessional and incompetent they are didn’t want to know they just wanted their fee which they did not deserve. Oh and lastly If you dare to write anything about your experience with them on social media they’ll threaten you with legal action

Through no fault of Curtis Law Estate Agents, it has taken a year to sell my house to the fourth prospective buyer (due to lockdown etc). I have dealt with James pretty much start to finish and I can't praise him enough for his professionalism, sound advice, empathy and humour (which he certainly needed on the several occasions I vented my frustration regarding delays to him!) - he has been a star!! The photographs taken of my property were beautiful, and I was inundated with viewers, enabling me to negotiate a fair price. As I moved to Chester a year ago, James and the rest of the team at Curtis Law kindly escorted many of these viewings, for which I'm very grateful. Indeed, I never met the eventual buyer and James also handled all queries regarding the purchase of the house from her. He was always available to answer my calls or, if not, he would phone me back as soon as he was able (even if he knew I was likely annoyed at the purchaser's solicitors - who were pedantic and slow to say the least). I'm sure the team will be feeling relieved to have me and my property off their books finally... I have jokingly said I will keep in touch once a month for a while as I'm sure they will miss me (not!!!)
