GoogleThe concierge on Site on Saturday was absolutely fantastic. Our group arrived at The Forum in error after trying to get to a similarly named place. It was dark and the weather was atrocious but the gentleman on the desk allowed us to take shelter in the lobby and use the bathroom whilst we tried to get another taxi. He chatted pleasantly with us and was very sympathetic to our situation. The lobby and facilities themselves seemed to be very well maintained and finished to a high standard. Should any of us need accommodation within the area in the future, we would strongly consider The Forum after our excellent experience.

GoogleWe stayed at Forum for about two years and enjoyed our stay. It is the closest apartment to Bullring which makes it super easy to reach at city centre whenever you wish. Ideal for energy saving; we rarely turned on the heater because the flat was always warm enough even in cold winter. We were comfortable living in Forum; in terms of various aspects. Special thanks to Jodie, Kary and other members of the team who support Forum residents.

GoogleAs an international Canadian student coming to Birmingham for school, I really struggled to find a one-bedroom apartment until I found The Forum. My experience with all of the staff at The Forum has been extremely positive. Harpreet has been amazing! He worked hard to accommodate my need for immediate possession of my flat. More, he has demonstrated genuine concern for my happiness in my flat and the community at large. This makes a huge difference as I moved to Birmingham not having any connections. The Forum has amazing amenities like the gym, lounge, and workspaces. The staff here is extremely helpful and is eager to help in any way. It is truly a great community that I recommend anyone looking to rent in Birmingham look into.

GoogleSalma has been brilliant throughout the process providing both myself an my partner a 5 star service. Despite being over promised by the estate agent, she has helped and assisted where possible and she is an asset to not only the Forum but the residents also.
She has become the go-to person when things dont go to plan and when she says something will be done it is completed with little questions asked. It would be a great shame to lose her from the Forum and I hope she remains with us throughout my time there.

GoogleTo some of the tenants
I know you guys are chatty and enjoy loud conversations, but the soundproofing in this building is not as good as you might think!
I live in one near the lift entrance and for the last two months there has been a large amount of loud noise in the hallway every day, sometimes this even occurs in the middle of the night!
No offense, can you guys please keep it down? 作为中国人我真的觉得有些同胞你们很丢人。

GoogleI don’t recommend living here unless things improve.
First of all, the 5* reviews on here are very questionable. You may think it may just be my problem but I can definitely assure you that if you ask any one of the residents in person 90% of them will tell you a similar experience as in my review.
I have been a resident here since January. My moving-in process was a nightmare. There is virtually ZERO communication between the Touchstone staffs. I was told one thing by one staff and another thing by a different staff. I was told that I can hand in all of my paperwork to the reception at the building, verify my identity and make my deposit payment on-site. When I arrived I was told I was given the wrong information and I have to do everything online but they can verify my ID there. After my document submission online I had a number of emails over the next few weeks from various of different people from Touchstone telling me that they haven’t been given this and that document from their colleagues so I need to send them again. I was told I needed to provide a guarantor because my income doesn’t meet their requirements. I had several guarantors rejected, each time with new and different reasons because Touchstone hasn’t made clear what they needed. 3 weeks later, after constant chase up every day on the progress, I was told I have to give 6-months payment upfront because all of my guarantors didn’t meet their requirements. After some complaining, I told them I may reconsider living at the Forum because it has been dragged on for such a long time and past the move-in date I hoped for. But later, I was told that I don’t need a guarantor nor pay the 6-months and can move-in straight away.
Come to the move-in date. I specifically TRIPLE checked my move-in date and asked if I can definitely move-in with no problems. When I arrived at the reception I was told they were not expecting me on this date so I had to wait an hour for them to confirm with their management and get the things ready. AGAIN, this shows there is ZERO communication between the Touchstone staffs.
Since living here the Forum everything had been fine. The apartment is excellent(apart from the shower problem, where it is poorly designed), the community within the residence is great and a range of good facilities (although I was told everything will be done by the end of Spring, most things are still in-construction now in Summer).
Everything is good…until you need to communicate with Touchstone. Emails sometimes get ignored or it takes several days to get a reply. There is virtually ZERO communication between the Touchstone staffs and their residents. I find out more information from the community than from the staffs.
The staff turnover rate is high. Not sure if it is just a new building problem or the staff problem. Since I have been here there have been countless changes to the security staffs that I don’t have enough fingers to count the numbers. I was talking to one reception staff for one minute and an hour later I was told the staff was fired when I chase up for a response.
Lastly, Touchstone charges ridiculous prices on certain things. It was risky to be one of the first to live in the Forum because at the time we didn’t have the price set for anything; internet, council tax and utility bills. I was told by Touchstone that they will have competitive pricing similar to other apartment buildings within the city centre, if not cheaper. Internet price was initially £45 per month when the price was eventually set. After the community uproar, the cost was eventually cut down to £30 per month. Bear in mind the average cost I found was £20s in other apartment buildings. The car park was set to £75 and recently increased to £99 per month. I recently wanted a car park space but was told it is full (even though I can see some unoccupied space for months) and looked elsewhere. Only to find out that other places are MUCH CHEAPER! Arcadian car park(1 minute walk away) is only £60pm and i-Land apartment (3 minutes walk away) is £50pm.

GoogleIf you want to experience extremely poor customer service.
A building that have heating problems and often difficult to get it below 25 any given time.
Being told half way through your tenancy they have turn the 5th floors into a working hotel for stag and hen parties.
While at the same time you pay a premium fee, then the Forum is prefect for you.
The community aspect is nice and you will have some lovely neighbours.

GoogleService is extremely poor and uncomfortable. if you need their help, they will be hard to find. But they'll keep an eye on you when they trouble you. I was kicked out of the gym twice with my friends, they always had different reasons, like you were wearing inappropriate shoes or not trained 🥹. If you don't want visitors to your gym please write it directly in the ad. Instead of being a pleasant guest, but being treated rudely.

GoogleWell equipped apartment complex, modern appliances, great amenities, clean, spacious parking lot and moreover, the staff are extremely kind, friendly and do everything possible to help you with any concerns you have. We also appreciate the events held by the Forum in efforts to foster a sense of community and allow residents to mingle. Moving into the city centre, we were worried about noise pollution and security however we haven't found this to be problem at all, we find this to be a very safe and well-maintained development. We feel very much at home here.

GoogleWe are a gay couple who moved into The forum in December when it was and still is a brand new property. As a brand new property you’ll expect a few teething issues which any we have had, have been swiftly rectified by the professional in house team. We deal mainly with Salma our head of reception who is authentic, fun and professional always welcoming us home with a warm smile. Along with Stephanie and Phil who have together ensured we have had extra help to ensure our move in process was smooth after a short delay.
The building is stunning and has a residents lounge with a pool table and monthly events often with free beverages and snacks where you get to meet and become friends with your neighbours.
The gym has great equipment and is secure for residents of the building only. Come late spring the landscape gardens and rooftop will have been completed so we are all looking forward to relaxing with a fizz and the sun out!
