Looked to view an advertised property stated as Hitchin. Turns out it’s three towns away but the asking price sounds better if you lie about the location of the property. Will not go near this lot with a barge pole. Update: So, agreed are asking for more information from me via Trustpilot about the property in question but in their response they say they’ve found it so not sure what they’re playing at now. Other properties in the same location by other estate agents are advertised as “street name”, “Fairfield”,”Hitchin” which I would not waste time looking at as it’s too far away from Hitchin. They say they’ve found are forced to advertise as “street name”, “Hitchin” so how other estate agents manage I don’t know. Bottom line, they seem to want this review removed instead of being more upfront in their adverts on Rightmove and avoiding time poor potential clients such as myself wasting time on properties that aren’t in the location inferred.

MS · 12 May 2026

Agent replied · 25 September 2026

We've identified the property and the property might not be in Hitchin but the address of the property is a Hitchin address as deemed by the Royal Mail. We are not able to change this so whilst you might not like it your review is factually incorrect.

I loved selling with AGREED.

I LOVED this approach to selling a house. Despite being elderly and computer challenged AND not at all familiar with selling properties in the UK - (I live ordinarily in Australia) I was keen to do it - because Estate Agents have such a lacklustre approach to ‘quick sales’. Reduce the price is the only thing on offer. Negotiating the sale of your house for you is they say ‘getting the highest price’ - but in real life it is actually about getting a price you would be really happy to achieve, in the easiest way possible. Also - not all offers are equal - when you have someone with no home to sell, offering the same price as someone who is subject to a chain - you get to choose who you would rather negotiate with! With this platform - that is how you approach the sale, and once you know what you would be happy to achieve - and the market is agreeable - the sale is quick and easy. There is nothing to lose -at the weekly price of listing - you can always try for a few weeks - and revert to agents if it doesn’t get interest. Getting to meet potential buyers and seeing their responses gave a good indication who was genuinely interested and who was ‘just looking’ - so you knew where to focus your attention.

Hi Andrea, thank you for your kind words. Agreed was created by experienced estate agents to help people of all ages and all experiences sell their home so we are really pleased that despite a couple of hurdles you overcame them with ease. Thank you for using Agreed and if you choose to sell another property we'd be delighted to represent you again.

Why pay a small fortune to an agent?

I planned to use an agent to sell my small property but discovered a lot of them are now doing a fixed fee - which is fine if you are at the higher end of the market but on a small sale is very expensive for what you get. Discovered Agreed and as I was happy to do viewings myself it was the perfect way to get my house advertised online without paying a fortune for the privilege! Process was quick and easy and any questions promptly answered on the chat facility. They issue the Memorandum of Sale which is one of the few jobs the estate agent would do and the rest is covered by the solicitors. We have just completed and I would highly recommend Agreed - I will use them again should I need to in future.

Looked at a listing for the town I wanted, advert gave road and town. Looked further on their website and the road is nowhere near the town it stated (was a good price for the town it said it was but overpriced for the town it was actually in!). Very misleading.

MM · 16 March 2026

Agent replied · 16 April 2026

Hi, could you please provide the listing so we can check as there has obviously been a mistake with the location pin drop on google maps and we would obviously like to remedy any mistake made. Just so you aware when we are adding a listing we are using the address of the property however the street view and pin drop can be in other places so if we have any information from you enabling us to rectify this we'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Agreed self service platform was easy…

Agreed self service platform was easy and effective to use. I planned the viewings to my own convenience. There was no lost opportunity of maximising on any enquiries as I could respond at any time, not 9 - 5 like most High Street Estate Agents. Agreed helped me along the way for any queries I had. They also provided the Sales Memorandum to handover at the last stage of the marketing process to the Solicitors. Fantastic value for money. I would not hesitate to use Agreed in the future.

Agreed makes selling simple…

Agreed makes everything about selling your home simple. They offer all the services wanted from estate agents without any of the additional hassle and at a fraction of the price. You deal direct with the potential buyers, fitting viewings into your schedule without the back and forth through an additional and unnecessary 3rd party in the communication. There is no working to office hours, I communicated with buyers directly anytime making everything much faster to organise. I had viewings in the evenings and on Sundays as it worked best for me, and it also works best for most buyers as it is outside of working hours. I had offers sent directly to me instantly through the app. I would recommend agreed to everyone looking to sell their home, it’s much easier and extraordinarily cheaper than other options available.

Excellent Service

There is a little time and effort involved in setting up the property on the website but I found the process simple. I wasn't a fan of the thumb on head ID photo requirement. It felt childish.

Thank you for your invaluable feedback. I agree the selfie pose is a little silly but we do need to do a likeness test to complete our compliance obligations, it actually enables our facial recognition software to confirm that you are the person on your ID. It's really clever. More importantly congratulations on the successful sale of your property. We wish you all the best in the future and should you sell another property we hope to see you back on the platform.

Incorrect valuation tool and difficult website

I saw Agreed on Rightmove and thought why not give it a go. However first impression of website was not good plus difficult to navigate. I then gave the valuation report a try and it was incorrect by a mile. If they can’t get something this important even ball park how am I meant to trust them to sell my house. I know this valuation was out as we recently had our home valued by 3 Agents from local companies. It must be missing key features like square footage & number of bed rooms. So decided to go with an agent for the service and expertise but wanted to share feedback.

Dave · 5 September 2023

Agent replied · 26 August 2025

Hi Dave, our instant auto valuation reports are exactly that, they are Instant so they only take into account the information you have entered and then it compares this against other properties with a similar make up in the local area that are on the market and have sold. It wouldn't have been missing bedrooms unless you failed to enter this correctly but it wouldn't have known the GIA of the property. We actually recommend that our sellers get as much information about the price of their home before they commence marketing, that's why we allow people to enter their own price and they don't have to use the Instant auto valuation if they don't want. In a bid to improve the quality of the valuation tool we offer could you please provide us with either your email address or the address of the property and the valuation you received from other agents compared to the valuation you received from our tool so we may raise the matter with our valuation provider and they can improve their service accordingly.

Buy to let Landlord

I’m a buy to let landlord and I’m always buying new properties to add to my portfolio so to say that I’ve seen every imaginable estate agent is an understatement. It’s rare that you actually enjoy a purchase or sale but on this occasion I’ll go as far as saying it was trouble free. I’ve got a couple of properties coming up that I’m considering selling so I think I know who I’ll be using to sell them. For someone like myself who knows the ins and outs of the selling process it was a bit of no-brainer.

New property with Agreed

Just moved in to a property let with Agreed, we met the landlord on the first viewing and of course they knew everything about the property, not like our last viewing with another estate agent who didn’t have a clue what was included or when the start date was, not very comforting!! Anyway all the referencing was super quick and they drafted the contracts, it was all done electronically so we didn’t have to trek into anyone’s offices. Thanks Agreed!

Great Service/Smooth Systems

Used Habitats to sell our property and very impressed with the system and the freedom you have to list the property without getting bombarded with sales calls. Having been an estate agent in a previous job and still working in the property industry I come across all different types of estate agents and from a user perspective Habitats offers a smooth process from the start and Charles is always on hand should you need any help or assistance with anything.

Five star experience.....

I was a little apprehensive at first we had never heard of Agreed. It all seemed to good to be true. Turns out it's exactly as described. Excellent service from start to finish. The team were quick to act on everything, from going live on Rightmove etc to arranging a professional photographer. The house was only on the market for a few days, before I accepted an offer. I can't praise this company enough and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend using Habitats…

I would highly recommend using Habitats for the sale of your house. From start to finish, it cost us just over £300 to sell our house, including the costs for photo's, floorplan and the EPC. We saved around £4500 by not selling via a conventional estate agent. If you're happy doing your own viewings and can communicate easily with prospective buyers, there's not a lot extra that an estate agent can offer, yet the savings are phenomenal. My dealings with Habitats was professional and help was always readily available. The Habitats portal was easy to use and the whole process, from start to finish was excellent.Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, but £000's to gain. Thank you Charles and the Habitats team.

Very poor service

This may be good for sellers but not for buyers, saw a property we liked arranged a viewing and registered on line went for a second viewing, it also says they check immediately with people no one has been in touch with us, I tried to get back on line unfortunately l forgot the password,so went to reset message said that we would receive reset immediately after six attempts with no response l e mailed them directly it says respond in two working days that's not happened

Paul · 17 July 2023

Agent replied · 12 June 2024

Hi Paul, we experienced a technical issue with our notification system so whilst the password reset was working you and others didn't receive the email. We did however contact you within 24 hours of you sending us an email in relation to a second viewing request. We do usually keep ourselves to higher standards but 24 hours is our cut off in how long we would expect to contact someone back. We are constantly working to improve our service and we apologise for any inconvenience as a result of the system fault and hope you managed to find another suitable property.

Habitats was so easy to use

Habitats was so easy to use. Within a week we were able to get online with Habitats. For a few hundred pounds and minutes on the internet (and a little help from Habitats Chat) , I’d organised professional photos, and EPC and a floorplan. It’s incredible that you are able to put your house on the market on the key online portals like Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime location and Habitats for less than £10. I always knew getting my house on these websites would be the key to selling my house, I just thought I had to go with a conventional estate agent to do this. Getting on these websites definitely gets my house in front of the majority of relevant people who are searching for a new home in the area.We started receiving viewing requests from people wanting to see the house almost instantly.I found it so simple to talk to them through the Habitats inbox and organise viewings and receive feedback.I enjoyed the whole process and felt much more in control of the whole process. The prospect of saving £9,000 using Habitats over a conventional estate agent was also an important factor for me.Habitats will always be my 1st port of call when selling my house.

Like using an estate agent, but without the fees

The Habitats website is simple and easy to setup allowing anyone with basic computer skills to have their property listed using a professional looking format. There are no hidden fees, or sale commission, although there are optional services that can be purchased through the website such as professional photography, EPC certificates and floor plans. Listed properties can be marketed for free through Habitats own website, Facebook and Twitter or for a reasonable fee listed on the main online property websites.Other optional marketing facilities include an advertising board, local maildrop, brochure, poster and flyers.Viewings are handled through the website's viewing management facility, allowing prospective buyers to select an available slot from the seller's availability schedule. Any problems or queries are promptly handled by the website's customer service portal.Habitats is the ideal website for anyone selling their property and who is comfortable conducting their viewings and handling their own negotiations.

At last. A way to do it yourself without the huge fees

I always wanted a way to sell properties myself but could not access the big websites like Right Move and Zoopla. I spotted an Agreed advert on the London Underground and gave it a go. I’m very glad I did. I sold my rental property in 4 weeks and my solicitor did the let work once the buyer was found. My solicitor was amazed that it cost me less than £150 in agency fees that they are going to use it too!!!!

Unreliable (can’t be trusted)

Have been paying a fortune for rightmove & Zoopla subscriptions but the property didn’t go live!!! I also payed extra for a PREMIUM listing and of course it’s not been allocated. No wonder I haven’t been getting any viewings!!! Got in touch with them and not even heard anything back. Absolutely ridiculous customer service how many people do you have? Don’t take on properties if you don’t have the capacity to keep them live!! A shambles company. Taking money but not doing what they say. I’m furious.

Paul · 3 May 2023

Agent replied · 12 June 2024

Hi Paul, I just want to first apologise for your property coming offline for a period of time, no matter how short a period that was. I would however like to address a couple of points you have made which are factually incorrect. You started paying for your listing on 11/03/23 and your property was added to Rightmove & Zoopla that same day. In the period between the 11/03/23 you received 5 enquires from buyers and booked 2 viewings. Unfortunately when you changed your subscription from weekly to quarterly your listing came off the portals. We were very sorry about this and replied to your email relating to the issue and got the property back on within 24 hours of you raising the issue. We also felt it was important to not charge you for the time you weren't on the market so we issued a refund not just for the time you weren't on the market but for the entire quarter. On top of this we have also added a featured listing to your property as way of apology. I wish you all the very best in selling your home with Agreed.

We saved £4650

This is a great way to get access to the property portals very cheaply and Charles was always there at the end of the phone when I needed any help. We saved £4650 on fees when selling our flat so I would highly recommend using habitats. Agents tried for quite a while with no luck and then we sold with habitats after two months and after the most activity we had the whole time.

My partner wanted to sell her house but…

My partner wanted to sell her house but had to be admitted to hospital due to on-going cancer treatment and asked me to manage matters. I found this company online and asked if they will allow me to manage matters on behalf of my partner who is the registered home owner, they said yes and that they need ID. I provided all ID requested including a photo selfie with my partner standing outside hospital with a thumb pointing to her ear but despite everything was rejected and sadly we went elsewhere to another company who were happy to help and have done a great job.

Mr · 12 December 2022

Agent replied · 12 June 2024

Unfortunately this recollection of events is not accurate. Mr Chohan, you contacted us explaining that you were in fact a property management agent who wanted to know if we would consider allowing you to list your clients properties as you only dealt with lettings. As we only allow direct sellers & landlords we informed you this wouldn't be allowed. You then intimated the property was your partners however as you never supplied a proof of ownership nor did you provide any ID documents of your partner, we were not able to allow you to proceed. Every single owner who lists with Agreed must pass Anti Money Laundering checks and Proof of Ownership we make no exceptions as this would be breaking the law.

All good so far

My property is totally ready for market but has not yet gone live. The process was logical and straight-forward. My house is quite quirky so some of the off-the-peg phrases and descriptions didn't really work for it, but by messaging Agreed, new, appropriate words and phrases were added to the list for me to use. I'm sure when the time is right for me to go live, my house will sell as quickly as it would with a local agent, and I'll be saving a fortune in fees.

Hard to contact. Have really enjoyed using the app and…

Have really enjoyed using the app and have had complete control over the sale of my house... until now. I have an offer on my house and have tried 5 times to contact Agreed via email and phone, to find out how I change the status of my property online to under offer but no response at all. So they haven't done any of the checks they say they will do on the purchasers finances etc Very disappointed now in what otherwise has been a positive experience. Since writing this review Agreed have now contacted me so I have added a star. And having explained how the process works, I can see that they are now handling the offer as promised and are doing the financial checks. Thank you for rectifying the issues for me.
