So HPS told us that the house we rent out required renovations. And they asked us to provide a Deposit for their Contractors. Then they told us that their Contractors were too busy to do the work. But the Deposit was returned less several hundred pounds. Supposedly for an Electrician, who we had not asked for and who did not do anything. Just supplied paperwork, which we did not require. Whenever we subsequently telephoned HPS the staff responsible were always unavailable to speak with us. So we submitted a complaint following the stated HPS Complaints Procedure and never receive any response. Awful.

I can't fault Hammond Property Services who handled the sale of my mums flat recently. The whole process from initial valuation through viewings, offers, communicating with other parties through to completion was made easy and stress free due to their proactive and professional approach. Special thanks to Emma and Charlotte at the Bingham office who were amazing. but the whole office were helpful when I needed assistance. Definitely recommend and lovely they are a local company too. I think possibly this makes a difference to a client. I wasn't just a number.

George came to replace our electric radiator and we can honestly say he is a professional. He was very punctual, polite, and extremely skilled at what he does. He worked in a clean and organised way and explained everything clearly step by step. You can really tell he has a lot of experience and that he cares about doing the job properly and safely. Really disappointed with this company. My daughter and her boyfriend have just moved out of a rental property in Bingham managed by Hammond. It wasn’t in a perfect state when they moved in and the cooker was filthy which they did get a cleaner to sort. There was a bad leak under the sink which I fixed - connections were poorly fitted. Upon leaving we spent the whole day cleaning hoovering etc including skirting boards and painted up any marks. Even repaired where the door had knocked plaster out of the wall ( the previous owner had the same issue as there was no door stop fixed to prevent this) They the decide to charge £200 as they say it needs a good clean. This came out of the deposit. A shame a company feels the need to try and take money off a young couple who are trying to make their way in life. Would like to know if they do actually get a cleaner in and just what it is they think needs cleaning given our efforts. I wouldn’t advise renting a property off this company but if you do make sure you photograph everything

Really frustrating renting a property through Hammond :( takes weeks to hear back at times and have to chase both members of the lettings team to get a response. This has happened several times since moving in 6 months ago and hasn’t improved. I understand they’re busy but unless you chase a few times you don’t get an answer at all. It’s a shame because we love our house aside from issues getting things looked at.

By far the worst agent I've ever had the displeasure of renting from. I've had numerous issues over the last 3 years renting a property from them. When I first moved in, there was a water leak, heating didn't work and the electricity sparked when you plugged anything in. I had to live with my mum for several weeks because my rental property was not safe to live in. 3 years on I'm still left with a dodgy boiler and expected to relight it myself everytime it cuts out. This is amongst other electrical issues and a rusty balcony. They also have no respect for disabled people and had the nerve to tell me I may not be a suitable tenant due to my disabilities!!
