My family and I have just moved out of a property we rent through Knights for nearly three years. I have to say our experience has been extremely positive throughout that time, from our initial enquiry regarding the property through to our departure. Sarah set up our initial viewing very promptly when we were struggling to find a suitable home to move into and also helped sort a replacement washing machine for us when the existing one broke during our tenancy. Lewis was also extremely helpful during our exit process, sending over all exit information and photos ahead of time and liasing with the landlord on our behalf to ensure a smooth move. Thank you Knights, we would definitely recommend to anyone we know.

Our landlord has an arrangement with Knights where Knights are 'front facing' to ourselves in relation to letting and raising maintenance issues however the landlord has chosen to not use their maintenance team and arranges this himself. The condition the property was let in and the time it takes for the landlord to act upon maintainance issues raised is unreasonable! This unfortunately means Knights is 'middle-man', a challenging situation for both parties. We've appreciated Kevin's phone calls throughout and him visiting in person 8 months into our tenancy. Now all major issues (apart from leaking boiler) are resolved, we are hoping things will get better moving forward. Edited from: Upon moving in, it was clear that previous tenants had neglected the property. While we understand how disheartening this must be for the property owner, we believe these issues should have been addressed in a transparent way prior to our tenancy, rather than being left for us to inherit. Although property damage was documented in the third-party inventory upon our arrival, it seems the letting agency has not utilised this information to address the concerns. Knights Lettings did not visit the property to create the list of maintenance issues themselves. The issues we faced were far from superficial or cosmetic. It took five days for a smoke detector to be installed, over two weeks before the bedrooms were habitable, and three months before we had proper lighting without strobing. Most recently, we have a leak coming from the roof area. We raised this issue urgently by email and phone call, only to later receive a email about the appropriate cascade of maintenance issues through their online system, which felt almost like being reprimanded. Additionally, the garden remains unsafe for children due to broken railings surrounding a one-meter drop, and we have yet to receive clear timelines for when these repairs will be made. Throughout this process, we have been cooperative and patient, providing a detailed list of faults and continuously requesting updates. Whilst we appreciate the letting agency is the "middleman" in this situation as the landlord holds responsibility for maintenance, we expected that one we raise an issue to Knights they would see it though to be resolved rather than us persistently nudging. Ultimately, the challenges and frustrations we have experienced have led us to feel the need to leave this review. We hope that improvements can be made.
