Avoid as a letting agency. I can forgive the fact that they let my flat to a drug taking criminal (the police are now involved due to his use of my flat as a base for his fraudulent activities. This review is about the service or complete lack of. After court eviction almost 3 weeks ago, and despise the fact that I have paid Alexander and Co for 9 months of property management services (for which they have not had to manage the property as they could not gain entry during this time) they have done nothing to rectify the many issues so that the flat can be relet. I have spent the last two weeks chasing them endlessly (I have numerous emails from them which list the reasons why they have not acted which include, meetings, holidays, being out of the office, losing a member of the team, no contractors to respond, maternity leave - it goes on) . Needing to rent my flat as as possible to cover the mortgage I eventually gave up and have done everything myself, including the meter readings, sourcing contractors, carrying out repairs, removing the rubbish left in the flat, replacing stolen items etc. because of the deposit scheme they arranged I have to pay for all of this out of my own funds until they go back to a court to seek repayment. The final straw is that they pay the rent through their insurance scheme a month in arrears. This is due on the 4th of each month. Despite chasing every day for a week (and being promised a call this afternoon) I am still to receive this overdue amount, which given the whole sorry situation is very hard to believe. It appears their 'property management service' is probably fine unless you actually need to use it.
