GoogleWe rented a property with MacFarlane and Smyth and recently ended our tenancy after two years. Overall we had a very positive experience.
MacFarlane and Smyth were very helpful in our search for a suitable property and the application process was smooth and straightforward once we had decided on a property from the selection they showed us.
They accommodated both quarterly and monthly rental payments when requested, responded to any queries promptly and Heather was always a pleasure to deal with. Any small issues at the property were dealt with quickly and they were helpful and accommodating where they could be from start to finish. We recently vacated the property and our full deposit was returned with no issues, they also provided positive references at no cost to us.
Overall we've had a great experience with MacFarlane and Smyth and would be happy to rent from them again in the future. We would certainly recommend MacFarlane and Smyth to any potential tenants.

Googleworst estate agents. never tried to fix any issues with the house. lied to many times over our tenancy. awful neighbours who disliked students living in the property who would lie and macfarlane would take there side everytime. told us 9am for key collection and when we went to pick them up, we were called a liar and told that they never said 9am for pick up and changed it to 3pm instead. don’t waste your time, the list goes on with how awful this estate agents is.

GoogleWanted to at least view a commercial property, been trying to reach the guy who takes care of the commercial properties at least a month now and he claimed that they didnt receive the keys to the property yet (why put a property for let when they dont have the keys for it?!) and that they will let me know when a viewing can be arranged, been calling the agents for over 2 weeks to arrange the viewing with no luck and when called today ive been told that the lease has been signed this morning. Very poor customer service. Very dissapointed

GoogleThe worst estate agents I have ever had. Extremely rude and disrespectful. They also essentially acted as the middleman for the landlord and it took over 5 weeks to fix a leak which caused the room I rented to be inhumane and I moved out for a period. They tried to brush me off multiple times when I asked for a fix and their email correspondence was rude and snarky. Stay away from this lot, absolute scam artists.

GoogleDuring my first year of university, I lived here. They did not provide electrodomestic. The kitchen and bathroom floors would lift if you were to hover over them, and they only painted and made other repairs after numerous requests. Even though the people who came to do it were really kind and courteous, overall, it was not a very comfortable living situation.
