My son found his first purchase via Charles Eden. We viewed, offered the guide price, which was accepted and it was all systems go from there. There were no more viewings or continued marketing tactics, as happens with other Estate Agencies. It was like a breath of fresh air! The purchase did not come without difficulties and delay but Justin and his Team were there at every Avenue ironing things out and edging the sale towards completion. Very experienced staff but over and above all else, personable! They kept us up to speed and progressed matters with both sets of solicitors where necessary. Phone calls and emails were always returned in a timely fashion. I would recommend this Estate Agents to anyone looking to purchase particularly in the Beckenham area and further afield. We were selling our cousins house to pay the care fees. We haven’t moved for over 40years.So it was with some trepidation initially, that we chose Charles Eden. We needn’t have worried, they worked very hard as a team, determined to sell the property- making an appointment at 7am to fit one potential buyer. The house sold that first weekend. There was NEVER any “hard sell”just reassurance and recommendations when asked.They understood we found some technology a bit daunting but everything was carefully explained. I did not sell through Charles Eden but thought it would be helpful to show the perspective of someone who is buying and the vendor is Charles Eden. During the viewing there was inaccurate information shared, when trying to follow up it was denied that this information was shared with me. When asking to assist with negotiations as there was a struggle, there was not much support. This would have benefitted everyone to have been more engaging. Some staff were more helpful and understanding than others. The board was left up far too long but thankfully after enquiring it was taken down quickly. The agent did help after an offer was put down but then towards the end became very reluctant.

They worked on a daily basis to keep us informed about what was going on and pushed and cajoled all the relevant parties to keep the chain intact to a successful conclusion. Most can do the easy part well, it is the difficult parts that few can do and Charles Eden are one of those Estate Agents.

I have recently used Charles Eden for the sale of my house. I was impressed by the knowledge and honesty of the person who attended to value my property and the realistic value given. A smaller local firm Charles Eden is able to offer a personal service from a small group of bright, cheerful and polite staff, all of whom seem knowledgeable and skilled at their job. They communicated with me in a timely fashion on a regular basis and were prompt with advertising, "For sale" board etc. They follow up viewings with all potential buyers and keep tabs on the process of the sale. I obtained estimates from several other agents locally (most of whom are big national complanies), one of which was charging three times the commission. Their eager sales staff were big on promises and unreaslistic in their valuation. Charles Eden has a long history of providing a sterling service in Beckenham and its sorrounding areas and advertises across the country through websites and other agencies.
