It is a pleasure to leave an unsolicited review to highlight my appreciation for the work of the Mayfair, Beaminster crew in an initial attempt to sell - then at our request - letting our house successfully. We marketed the house in the spring, but who could have known what was just around the corner with the Covid-crisis! Given the way the sales market was affected by the virus, and making viewing logistically difficult, we decided we wanted some return from what at that time was a vacant property, so it was ideal that Mayfair were able to simultaneously offer it for sale and to let at the same time, and letting was the eventually outcome. We have been 100% impressed with Harriet and the team at every stage of events - from our first meeting, the speed with which they listed the house, the quality of marketing content and wording, and plentiful feedback on viewings. Frankly speaking, there are no words that could be written to appropriately convey what an absolutely astounding and amazing team Grace, Steve and Rachel make, although I will give it a shot here. Steve is a highly enthusiastic and polished professional with extensive experience and local knowledge that gave us absolute confidence that Mayfair were the right team to look after us. His highly consultative approach and frank guidance was a critical factor in the decisions we made in our approach to selling the house, something we are very grateful for. One particular strategic discussion with Steve led to a critical change in our approach which in turn set us on a path that led to a very quick, smooth and faultless sale to a fabulous couple and at a price that everyone was happy with. Grace was astounding. Grace is the absolute embodiment of professionalism, commitment and customer-centricity. Her efforts on our behalf were above and beyond anything we could ever have ever asked for. This sale represented an incredibly important step and change in our lives, and yet we often commented that Grace was definitely more passionate and engaged in the sale of the house than we were! Faultless in her communication and guidance, we felt grateful that we were under her wing throughout the sales process. We cannot thank Grace enough for everything she did, and how she did it too. We met Rachel during the conveyancing process and I have to say that I personally underestimated how important her role would be in making sure communication between all parties was as smooth, rapid and faultless as she made it. She continued to help us, even after the sale completed as she gave further advice on the buying process. A huge thanks to Rachel for everything! We did not imagine a team like Grace, Steve and Rachel existed. They are simply the best of the best.

My boiler packed in 9 days ago. I have a 10 month old and 2 other children under 7!! I’ve had two visits from an engineer to tell me it needs a new part or ideally a whole new boiler. I’m currently still waiting to get confirmation from the landlord to give the engineer the go ahead to fix it. Meanwhile the house is freezing it’s nearly the end of October and I’m sat chasing everyone to see when it’s getting sorted. I’ve also been told the agency should have provided us with heaters yet we’ve had nothing. It’s just not good enough!!

We had to make multiple visits (with tradesmen) to our property prior to full contract completion and Mayfair staff were very helpful in facilitating this, which enabled us to make some wise decisions! The bottle of bubbly from Mayfair handed to us with the keys when it all finalised was the icing on the cake. Disingenuous & unprofessional. As a tenant you're treated like a second class citizen. Similar to other estate agents they're polite and accommodating if you remain quiet about any issues and just pay your rent. However, when a problem occurs your emails are met with silence, even when a landlord has breached their contractual obligations
