Fautless and friendly service
Absolutely fautless - and very friendly - service.Sharon and her team went above and beyond to get me sorted and into the right property asap. Their focus was the right proeprty for me - not what they had on their books.Very empathetic, objective and tireless commitment to help.

There was a agent name Sadia. She was very rude and arrogant. People are coming for house. You need to help. That's not customer service. Very bad and worst. Never recommending.

Shocking customer service in Sunnindale
Shocked at the attitude on the branch staff in Sunningdale at the end of a high value rental in Ascot, as they would not approve the release of the _undisputed_ amount of our deposit of almost 6000.00 because of a claim (frivolous) by the landlord for 600.00 that we wish to take to dispute resolution. The offer letter from Hamptons said it as was an assured shorthold tenancy, which would have the full protection of the tenants deposit scheme (TDS), but the actual document provided we subsequently found was NOT an AST and they held our deposit in their client account and will not release it. We have now had to instruct lawyers for release of the undisputed amount, while initiating a dispute resolution process over the 600.00. The landlord lives in Monte Carlo and is a total cheapskate... claiming for replacement of transformers that failed and caused lights not to work, and claiming 160.00 for adjusting a carpet that lifted at the door retaining bar, after professional cleaning by the company they suggested ! We found the branch staff at Sunningdale to be arrogant and unhelpful and have now had to instruct lawyers. Shocking customer service... or perhaps they see the landlord as the client and we, paying over 4,000 per month, are just a nuisance. We will be following through with the company's complaints procedure.
Thank you for your recent feedback regarding the service which you have received from our Lettings office in Sunningdale. As a business, we treat customer satisfaction extremely seriously and we will always respond to any concerns raised to us, whether it be via a review or via our Company Complaints Procedure. We understand that a mutual agreement was reached between Landlord and Tenant on Friday and, the deposit release was subsequently actioned the same day. Any deposit paid to Hamptons is held by us as independent stakeholder and we are legally bound to obtain written consent from both parties (Landlord and Tenant) before releasing any portion, including the undisputed amount of the deposit. Our responsibility is to act on the instruction of both Landlord and Tenant following a mutual agreement between both parties. We always endeavour to assist both where possible with regards to the deposit process, however, when a property is not managed by Hamptons, we are not privy to any maintenance issues which may have arisen during the Tenancy and therefore are not in a position to negotiate the deposit at the end of the Tenancy. We need to ensure that the type of legal contract is suitable for the type of Tenancy, based on the information which a Tenant provides us with at the time of the initial negotiations and for this reason the Tenancy was a Non AST Tenancy. We hope the above provides some clarity, thank you again for taking the time to write to us.

Scum
Renting through Hamptons was by far the worst rental experiences I've ever had. We had over 5 different property managers (says a lot about it to honest) in a 2 year timeframe. Couldn't tell you the exact number as we stopped counting and began expecting an email changeover every few months instead. Our flat was super high humidity and incredibly mouldy the whole time we lived there. Obviously great for our scam artist landlord who left us without an oven for 2 months and a flat that you needed to keep the heating running in just to keep it liveable - black mould STILL grew despite running 3 large dehumidifiers in every room, keeping windows open when possible AND having the heating running all the time (£££). They refused to treat the windows (all untreated wood, mouldy, would swell so bad you couldn't open doors despite 3 giant dehumidifiers and the heating blazing) and Hamptons were entirely useless at communicating between us and the landlord and obviously did not care about anything as long as they were getting paid. We were evicted just before Christmas 2022 as the landlord wanted to increase the rent by 30% and didn't want to renew their HMO. The only saving grace was how long it took them to rent it afterwards, considering the horrible condition it was in due to landlord neglect (multiple contractors who came and said it was really bad and the landlords responsibility but they obviously quoted too much for our poverty stricken overlord to pay out) so I'm glad they lost out on all that money. In the months between us leaving and whatever poor, scammed soul moved in, Hamptons did not organise the water bill. So we have had multiple conversations with Thames Water telling them that we did move out. (We had already told them, but they billed us when no one took ownership of the bill!) You guys work in property. You should know how these things work. I guess it's hard to learn anything when property managers seem to only keep their job for 2 months at a time.

Hamptons Twickenham (Lettings) plus other Hamptons 'add-ons'
Truly awful experience and it's no wonder Countrywide are in such a mess. I've let my properties through most agents in the high street, and Hamptons are by far the worst. The manager is unhelpful, rude and political. Other services that all other agents have given me for free, they charge for (new tenancy negotiation for same tenant (£90!!) and an end of year statement (£100!!). Whether it's the renewal staff or the accounts staff, they are arrogant, defensive and abrupt. All this lovely service (with their extra fees) for several thousand pounds a year in tenancy fees. The whole business needs an overhaul which, due to their apparent lack of senior leadership direction, outside forces seem to be doing for them.
Thank you for leaving us a review. Customer service is very important to us and we are naturally disappointed to hear of your dissatisfaction with our services. There is no manager currently in the Twickenham office so we are unable to ascertain who it is you have dealt with. We treat any feedback received very seriously and in order for us to investigate further, we invite you to email customercare@hamptons-int.com with further information. Thank you again for leaving us a review.

We have been working alongside Hamptons…
We have been working alongside Hamptons for a couple of years now re decorating a number of properties they are letting out. Katie has been exceptional in organising this for us and it never misses a beat. Job description are accurate and starting dates are always spot on. It’s a pleasure working with Katie & the team.

Disappointing purchase
Bought a house through Hamptons and they agreed in writing that it would be clean and that the loft would be cleared. That never happened and the house was FILTHY, thick grime in places and the loft was full of bits of carpet, left over timber and all sorts of junk requiring several hours of emptying out and trips to the tip. The house was transferred with a huge carpet moth problem which wasn't communicated to us and developed after we had last viewed.

Worst rental experience I have ever…
Worst rental experience I have ever had.( st albans) As a seasoned renter both in the UK and Australia, and as a landlord myself I would never recommend this estate agent. Every single part of their business is contracted out from inventory to ID checks and financial background so no personal service whatsoever. They take zero responsibility for any part of their business and are really just a revenue agent. Very poor disorganised communication. Didn't know we were turning up for the keys and all manner of nonsense. Whilst maintenance issues were attended to - that's really the only positive thing I can mention. On vacating the property (professional couple resident only) the inventory check out was so ridiculous that we considered it vindicitive and persecutory. An clerk listed items such as " chip to underside of sink 0.3 mm" requiring £30 compensation. Even on the blow up photo it was almost invisible. ( and was most likely there on check in). They wanted to charge us £500 in "damage" which also included a "scuff mark" inside a broom cupboard and a small cobweb that the cleaners missed. We challenged ever single item they listed and they immediately rolled over and gave us our deposit back in full, and did not even try to negotiate, which basically confirmed that it was just an additional revenue opportunity. Avoid this agency.

Feedback is very important to us and we will ensure the comments in your review are investigated further. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review.

Stay well clear of this estate agents
Stay well clear of this estate agents. Worst experience I have ever had. As a tenant, they will continuously disregard your comfort in your property, acting solely in the interest of money and landlords. They have been pestering us for "missed rent payments", threatening to take us to court even though we have all provided proof of payment to them several times. The communication that they have between their staff is clearly awful, as a tenant you end up repeating yourself several times before they actually do anything about what you say. I informed them of mould and damp in the property when I first moved in and nothing was done to resolve this health issue. They accused us of staining mattresses and say they will deduct costs for new ones off our deposit, however the mattresses were stained when we moved in.At the end of our tenancy, they organised a viewing with someone without informing us before, so I returned home one day to unexpectedly find a woman looking round my bedroom. They informed me with an incorrect check out time so they "checked" the property before I had even fully vacated and cleaned the property, and then when I complained about this I was told that there was no chance of a second check, I would have to settle with the first check, which effects my deposit return. Aside from all that, and other issues I have not mentioned, they are completely unprofessional, emails have spelling mistakes and are carelessly written, staff seem to struggle with basic english and fail to understand what you say.Hampton's have honestly put me off renting all together, would rather move back in with my parents than have to deal with something like this again.
Thank you for leaving us a review. Customer service is very important to us and we are naturally disappointed to receive your feedback. We take our responsibility of ensuring Tenants have peaceful tenancies and a smooth exit transition very seriously and guarantee your feedback will be passed on to be investigated by a Property Management Team Leader. Please rest assured any necessary action will be undertaken to ensure our service levels meet expectations on all occasions. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Never again
Never again. It's been almost 2 years I'm staying at a flat managed by Hamptons and all other problems aside, they didn't even try to solve our main problem for a year, which is the terrible toilet smell that fills the house when the neighbour is in. I can't remember how many times we complained and how many times they said they'll look into it, but the best thing they did was suggesting to use a drain unblocker as if we couldn't really think about it. They clearly don't think being an agent doesn't mean helping both sides but only being on the landlord's side.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Customer service is very imporant to us and we are saddended to hear you are experiecing this issue in your property. The matter has been raised with your Landlord and your property manager is awaiting his approval for works to take place. Unfortunately we cannot instruct works to be carried out unless we have approval from the Landlord. I can see your property manager is working hard to resolve this matter and having just received an email from you, we will ensure this matter is also addressed in line with our customer care procedures. Thank you.

A reliable well managed company with excellent service from Patryk Lehmann
A reliable well managed company with valuable ties within the variety of services (property/rental management, accounting including taxes, sales, etc). I have experienced excellent service from my property manager - Patryk Lehman - who was always prompt and reliable. When the flat required repairs due to a water leakage from above, he went out of his way to ensure this was done fast and in a cost effective manner.

Efficient Service
Currently renting a Hamptons managed house. Issues are dealt with quickly by the Property Manager who liaises with the Landlady and the appropriate business to get things fixed. Someone also came round to check things are in working order after 4 months of being in the property and then fed back to the Property Manager for things that needed doing. The staff in general are friendly and try and help out in any way possible.

Do not rent a place with Hamptons
Do not rent a place with Hamptons, they have no interest in meeting their legal obligations. We have no heating or hot water. Fist they claimed we weren’t renting with them and it wasn’t their responsibility. Then after I sent them my tenancy agreeemnt they apologised as they were looking in the wrong system. Then they asked me to stay in New Year’s Eve so someone could come out. Finally at half past midnight they emailed and said sorry nobody was coming but the would call me in the morning. Of course they didn’t ring. I called them and they said they would ring straight back. Took them over an hour before ringing and admitting they haven’t even booked someone. They promised to call back within 20 minutes. An hour after they promised they still hadn’t called. I have rung them back and they say they will call straight back. Still freezing and still no call back. Happy to take your rent but if you have a problem they are useless. This is the 4th time the heating has gone in 18 months. There are plenty of reputable landlords out there, sadly Hamptons aren’t one of them

We received fantastic service from the lettings team - especially from Nicola and Jacqui. We were so impressed by every step of the process; they understood the value of our property, shared their knowledge and advised accordingly and their communication was excellent throughout. They have a lovely, approachable manner that meant we always felt listened to and part of the process. Thank you!

We recently sold our house (yay!) with Hamptons and Claire in the Beaconsfield office was amazing. She kept us up to date, chased the buyer and solicitors throughout and we are very grateful. We had started with another agent and are so pleased we switched to Hamptons. They do the basic (and important) things that you'd expect from any agent very well, such as being on the front foot with keeping us updated. It matters. Many thanks, Paul
