GoogleWish we'd read the negative reviews here before signing with Turpie. You must be aware of all their terms and conditions before signing a selling contract as we weren't provided with any copy contract at the time of signing (as I see others have noted). Turpie will pursue you for a full selling fee once you agree to an offer, whether it falls through or not, regardless of circumstances. We felt they were more interested in just getting you to accept an offer rather than trying to maximise any amount for your house as once you agree to an offer their money is as good as banked and the contact just drops off. My first, and thankfully last, experience with this company.NegativeQuality

We have not received any complaint, verbally or in writing, and we have not therefore had the opportunity to understand and attempt to resolve any of the issues that you have raised. It would not be appropriate to discuss the specifics of a clients transaction on a public forum i.e. price achieved (and how that compares to comparable sales in the area) / offers negotiated / number of agent accompanied viewings carried out / viewing feedback etc. however we have added a note below to clarify our general terms should a sale not proceed after an offer has been agreed by a seller. Best Wishes, Turpie and Co *Our company will remarket a property at no cost to a seller should their sale fall through due to a buyer withdrawing their offer at any stage in the transaction (unless deliberate or intentional actions of the vendor have forced this withdrawal) however should a seller simply change their mind, or have a change in circumstance leading to them withdrawing from the sale, after an offer is agreed, we must charge a fee to reflect the work carried out by our company, including the following: initial advice and consultation, instructing and directing photographer, surveyor and copywriter, proofing draft brochure, preparing web listing and window cards, making property live on market, promoting property on various internet portals and on social media, prospecting buyers registered on our database, handling all telephone and e-mail enquiries, fully qualifying all interested parties and arranging accompanied viewings, conducting agent accompanied viewings (including evenings and weekends), viewing follow up and feedback, negotiating offer/s on property, preparing solicitor letters once offer agreed, completing financial due diligence on buyer and liaising with both sets of solicitors to progress sales missives.

GoogleI wish we had paid more attention to the other negative reviews and Turpie&Co.’s sneaky Terms of Business before signing up. Turpie&Co. sent us an invoice for just under £4000 after the house did not sell. We found that the staff and one of the directors (Gillian Greenwell) did not like to deal with matters in writing. We wish we insisted that all details of offers, dates and terms agreed etc. were confirmed in writing. The staff denied conversations and major instructions were ignored. We found that Turpie&Co. have a complete disregard for the Code of Practice for Property Agents. Overall, unpleasant, arrogant and condescending staff who were difficult to get hold of once we signed up and were unwilling to rectify issues or report on progress. Some other facts: Turpie&Co. advertised our house for six weeks without our permission and after the house was taken off the market. The staff did not forward us the offer on our house in timely manner and as required by law. The staff did not list their fees upfront, as required the Code of Practice. I would advise all their potential sellers to be very careful what you sign with them. We had a stressful and time consuming dealing with them for over six months. As the house still remains unsold, this was an expensive mistake that ruined our plans of moving. Edit post Turpie&Co. response: This is a review of our experience with Turpie&Co. and I believe it to be accurate and correct at the time of writing. The so-called resolution took three months of unpleasant dealings with them. I have been in contact with The Property Ombudsman. The purpose of the review was to warn others, so this would not happen to anyone else. GoogleWe chose turpies after meeting with three other agents and they were instant winners, after meeting with them in person and hearing their enthusiasm and professionalism we just knew that they were the right choice through gut instinct! From the photography, brochures, their advice and their high end approach to marketing, they stood high above the rest and we knew it was the right decision. We were appointed “Natasha” as our agent to sell our home and I can honestly say she was amazing from start to finish! She was professional and enthusiastic and always bubbly and optimistic and kept us up to date at all times. She gave the best advice and always kept us in the loop, she wasn’t like an agent but more like a close friend helping us through one of the hardest and most stressful event of a persons life which is to sell your home, she made it feel easy! and was always there for us to offer reassurance and was always at the end of a phone. GoogleAfter long conversation with "Mags," a date and time was agreed for one of their team to come and value our house- over a week after we spoke. After nearly 30minutes of waiting, I called to ask if there was a problem, turns out "Mags" "forgot" to book it in. The lack of interest was utterly infuriating and so I asked to speak to management for which I was put on hold. Turns out they spoke for the 5min I was kept on hold and management left the building anyway. The lack of professionalism and customer service is more than obvious to us and as such we will not be doing any business with them at all and I would encourage anybody else looking to stay clear also.

GoogleEmailed about a property for sale on rightmove and received a phone call from Nicole at Turpies & co to arrange a viewing. I was advised that I would receive a confirmation txt to confirm once approved with the owners. The next available viewing was 5 days away, so I emailed back to ask if there were any sooner viewings. I never received the confirmation txt about the viewing or a reply to my email asking about earlier viewings. Having not heard from Turpies, I phoned the morning before to confirm. Nicole advised that my viewing was still booked in but that an offer had since been received. As it hadn't yet been accepted however she would phone me in the afternoon to confirm either way if the viewing was to proceed, as it had been booked the previous week. By late afternoon as I hadn't received a call, I phoned to find out if the viewing was proceeding or not. Nicole advised that the offer had since been accepted and my viewing was cancelled. My disappointment is the complete lack of communication from Turpies - my viewing was never confirmed by txt, no reply to my email and finally no one even notified me that my viewing had been cancelled. If I hadn't phoned multiple times to eventually find out the property was now under offer I could have potentially turned up at a property which had already been sold. The lack of communication has prevented me from ever using Turpies for my properties, not to mention the potential loss to property owners missing out from genuine buyers being unable to arrange viewings.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleWouldn't recommend . My wife and I was interested in a property they were selling so we called to book an appointment. They told my wife they would send her a covid 19 questionnaire which they didnt. We called them a day before viewing to ask for them to send it. They did send it trough this time and my wife sent it back to them. Today we showed up at the house and waited 10 mins and no sign of them at all so we called. The girl that I got on the phone informed me the house is under offer and they message and emailed my wife which she didnt recieve Total joke and will be advoiding in future viewing.
