From the photo you wouldn't know there was a garage from another property next to the property’s windows to the right, neither was there anything about shared access on the details. On top of which the estate agent didn’t think to mention this when we rang to make an appointment and asked for later in the day because we were travelling from Newton Abbot which at this time of year is about an hour and half drive. Not their finest hour and they should be ashamed of themselves! Edit below: Edit: As you can see the estate agent has replied to this review. Nothing was agreed and it wasn’t in the details. There was nothing to miss as it wasn’t there. I wasn’t going to bother mentioning this but the next day one of them emailed me asking to change the review. There are a lot of good estate agents out there just trying to do their job, unfortunately people like these give estate agents a bad name!

From the day Claire arrived I knew my mother and myself were in good hands. The attention to detail, a desire to understand the history of the house and our relationship with it meant she wasn’t just selling bricks and mortar she understood what the house and its location could offer to the new buyers. Had a viewing 13th March @10am and the agent cancelled without informing me. The vendor had to give the viewing whilst her husband (a vunerable person) sat outside in a freezing car, incredibly awkward and unprofessional. Will never buy anything through Chequers Barnstaple. In addition, they never called for any feedback.

Claire was an absolute pleasure to do business with. She is such a lovely, polite young lady who is very efficient at her job. We were dealing with a probate property after the death of a family member so it was all a bit stressful and emotional for us but Claire eased the way and kept us informed at all times of exactly what was going on.
