We are really happy with our new home and all the help and support Jane has given us. We had a very complex purchase which which was problematic but Jane was always there to offer solutions and push things along, every query we had she dealt with quickly, and nothing seems to be too much trouble, Jane has made the process very easy. Matt managed to get the house ready before Christmas which we really weren’t expecting and the finish is fab. We are over the moon with everything.

We completed our purchase with Harron just before Christmas on the Bishops Glade development in Ripon. We’ve had a very positive experience throughout the reservation, build, purchase, hand-over and moving in process. We adore our new Dunstanburgh, we love the lay out and build quality. Like all new builds there are some snagging issues but they are being worked through by Rebecca, Fiona and the team. Bigger snags were dealt with very quickly before Christmas, with no quibble from Harron.The builders on-site are very helpful and friendly. Site manager Ian and deputy site manager Clive have been on hand to help answer any questions we may have.We really feel that Rebecca deserves a special mention as she had been readily available throughout the process of buying, completion and after-sales. It has been very reassuring having one point of contact with someone so experienced and passionate. Rebecca has given us good advice throughout - she’s an asset to the company! We would recommend the bishops glade development, it’s very quiet and the team has been fantastic! Thank you.

Today is my first full day in my gorgeous new home on the Shipley Lakeside development. From the moment I saw the location of the site I wanted to live here and I’m so delighted with EVERYTHING. You hear and read so many complaints about new houses and builders but my experience has been so enjoyable and the Harron Homes team could not have been any better. From my initial phone call and meeting with Nathan to my hand over yesterday with Carol and Amanda and my visit today from Ian and Ki. A truly first class service and a first class home. What a brilliant team and superb place to live.

Recently purchased a new build property…

Recently purchased a new build property through the part ex scheme in Thoresby vale. We were really impressed with how well the site was run and how tidy it is and weren’t surprised to hear they’d won awards this year which impressive considering the climate. We dealt with a wonderful sales executive called Michelle who’s made each visit enjoyable, special and hassle free. She comes across as someone who really cares and is passionate about her job. Special mention to Mary too for helping us choose a beautiful kitchen and quality tiles, and for listening to any concerns we had and putting them to rest effortlessly. A great team who ensured any hiccups were few and far between. We’re really looking forward to making the Alderton our home in the Spring.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

Unfortunately harron homes have not proved to be a very nice company in any way shape or form. When starting a new build development they do not consider residents or keep to agreed CEMP rules set out by the official bodies. We are living in a terrible state on Westminster Estate whilst they build the wynthorpe chase homes. We as residents have been patient and understanding and followed the correct channels to enable this build to progress with the least impact to residents over the next 3 years, but quite simply this company have absolutely no regard for anyone. We are less than a year through this build on our our little estate and the state of our roads, heavy goods vehicles, noise, vibration, endless lorries, diggers etc mounting kerbs. No safety regarded for our residents and young children the lorries do as the wish coming onto site uncovered, dropping parts of their loads onto the roads our estate is now like a slurry. There is constantly no banksmen the huge lorries reversing mounting kerbs coming in and out of the development. Excuse after excuse given, quite frankly this company unfortunately just do not give a damn about anyone and have a total disregard to rules set out for them. And it will apparently take council bodies a year to get this to a point the can charge them with breaking the rules set out. It's a joke really but I would never buy a house from this company if this is how they are building, I can only imagine the aftercare if you were to purchase a house from them.

Do not buy a home from Harron Homes!

Do not buy a Harron Home!!! Nearly 6 month in our 'new dream home', at Forest Reach, so many issues which began as soon as we had paid the deposit and increased as we paid money for extras and therefore became more financially unable to pull out. Issues remain within and around the outside of our home. Alarming when you meet with contracts manager and he admits (after we move in) that he had shared concerns that the house was not ready to move into! Customer Services is the point of call but hopeless. Staff retention and people leaving is a big issue. We have come to find this is far from an issolated experience, it is shared by many if not most on this development and others. Even the council and land management company will not take on their part of the development due to the current appalling standards. Every work man who has come, so far, has such negative opinions of the build, workmanship and builder, whether they are screeding and replacing damaged flooring, broken windows, damaged cupboards, blocked drains or rubbing down and painting the whole house, etc. Had previous new builds and had snagging lists but nothing at all like this! Harron Homes are NOT worth the money and stress from ongoing unresolved issues affecting your daily life. They give you a glossy brochures and false expectations and do not meet the commitments, promises, quality and customer service set out in their Customer Charter.They are also in breach the Consumer Code, they have provided far from an outstanding service, they have instead provided us with poor quality, poor customer service and lack professionalism, care or efficiency.

Avoid company!!!

Forest Reach - MansfieldCustomer service shocking...7 months since moved in and still awaiting the majority of snags to be resolved after now over a dozen emails and false promises. Bricks can literally be pushed out with one finger due to being stacked on top of fake plastic bricking - amazes me how these builds pass an inspection...All managers do not take ownership of any complaints or faults, and directors unaware as they make it impossible to contact. If you want a house that is falling to bits straight away and nothing being resolved, then Harron Homes is for you! I would highly recommend to avoid at all costs and pay alot less money and go with an average builder like Persimmon and deal with the issues at half the cost.We have lived here over a year now and still awaiting things to be done, including bricks hanging out that I would class as dangerous!Company is useless, I would highly recommend anyone thinking of buying from Harron Homes to think again!

Happy welcoming staff at Brierley

We came to the Brierley showroom and had a great chat with Hannah & Julie. Hannah explained all the properties currently available and answered all of our queries well. Unfortunately the plots that were available did not suit exactly what we were looking for at this time. However a plot was on the market already, so we have managed to have an offer accepted to move into one of the houses that were sold by Harron. The Julie and her team have been so helpful answering all the questions we have about this property and it’s history, and really welcoming us as new residents to the estate. I’m really looking forward to moving there and feel as though the staff are so approachable and helpful that I’ll be popping in as often as I need to if I have any questions about our property or the site itself.The staff really have a passion about the homes they are selling and cares about the people who live there.

We finally have our Dream Home.

Myself & My husband spent many many months viewing other Developers locally but we knew very early on in our buying process Harron Homes was the one for us. The quality of build in comparison is excellent, the standard of fittings beats any other builders and the professional sales team are an added benefit to Purchase through Harron Homes. With regular build updates and tours of your home, this gives you the chance to enjoy the build process of your home. As we lived in a Harron Home (rented) for 18 months before buying our own home, i suppose you could say 'Try before you buy'... The Site Manager Paul and his team are very professional and efficient. Kim and Julie have been a great support and we can't thank them enough for their time, effort and support throughout our buying Journey. We cannot recommend Harron Homes enough. We finally have our dream home!

Life in the Derbyshire countrysideHaving lived in our previous house for 23 years we decided it was time for a change now it was just the two of us. With only work defining our preferred area (children all grown up) we searched far and wide and found the Foresters View development at Crich. We met Ann Lawler, the sales rep, on a Saturday afternoon and she was so lovely. Explained everything to us, sent us off into the show home armed with the details of the house we were interested in so we could compare (there was no showhouse for our house). As there was only one available of the house we wanted and we were keen to pay the deposit there and then, but Ann refused to take it, she wanted us to go away and be sure, plus there was paperwork to go through the system as we were interested in doing a part exchange. When we went to choose tiles, kitchens, carpets etc. Ann was there to guide us through and was able to recommend what went well together. The only stumbling block came towards the end of the process, Ann was moved to another site so around the time of contract exchange and arranging to view the house we were dealing with other people. But, on the day of the viewing Ann re-appeared like a fairy godmother and has been at the end of the phone ever since. Due to some scaffolding for the house behind us, the builders weren’t able to finish the back garden fence. As a way of an apology Harron Homes (requested by Ann) agreed to turf the back garden free of charge.All the houses at Foresters View are built from Derbyshire Stone, which makes them a little different from the everyday new build and fits with the area. The quality of the kitchens and bathrooms in the house is faultless. We are looking forward to the next 23 years in our new house surrounded by the gorgeous Derbyshire countryside.

Thorpe Meadows Customer Experience

After having a terrible experience with Countryside Properties complete lack of care and customer service, we met Ann at the Thorpe Meadows development who completely changed our experience of buying a new home. Her warm and friendly attitude along with her knowledge of the houses, development and relationship with her team shone through. Nothing was too much trouble, even the little things like offering us a drink and a biscuit, in ensuring we got the right house and package for us. Our experience of Harron so far thanks to Ann is of a company that go the extra mile (we have already been sent kitchen ideas to help us when we make that choice). Buying a new build home

Organised a visit to the show homes at Brierley Heath at Stanton Hill. First conversation with Hannah , then a second visit with Julie. Both were extremely helpful and I could not fault their advice and abilities, they could not have been more helpful. Decided to go with their part-exchange scheme. Three visits were arranged to value our existing property - all were completed very promptly with no fuss and resulted in a valuation that we were very happy to accept. We then had a third meeting to accept their valuation and agree to the sale This process went very well, all the conditions of this type of sale were extremely well explained by Nathan and Hannah. I found all three members of Harron Homes staff to be extremely helpful throughout, with an appropriate mix of humour and straight-forward talking. I would recommend Harron Homes to anyone thinking of having a new-build home.

Hockley Croft

Moved into Hockley Croft estate in Boroughbridge in Jan 2021. The buying process was painful and stressful as Harron were desperate to get us in before Christmas despite our chain not being ready. It felt like we were being bullied into moving at times. When we moved in we could tell it had been a rush job on Harron’s side as the finish was very poor with lots of snags. Lots of changes of site manager led to a very slow initial response until Ivan Velchev arrived. Ivan has been brilliant. He has worked hard to sort out our snagging list as fast as possible, plumbers, joiners, tilers etc. permitting. He is friendly approachable, such a nice guy and prompt at responding to queries. We can’t rate Ivan highly enough. Please keep him at Hockley Croft!!Despite the challenges we love the house and location.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!We decided to purchase our dream home with Harron; because the estates and houses felt different to any other new housing development. We loved all the different house shapes and layouts. We really loved the location too. When we reserved our home, we were already told it was delayed, so we had no expectations of it being ready earlier. We did find communication an issue for a period in the middle, but once the new team of Jessica, Michelle, and Dave took over, we had lots of information, regular updates (which is so important), and felt they had everything in hand. They corrected issues that had been dealt with incorrectly, and kept us in the loop at all stages, they've been brilliant. The team of builders on site have always been very friendly and helpful too. They work very hard and long hours. That was the good part. When we got the keys the house wasn't finished and the painter was still in there. We have and are having numerous construction issues, nevermind the 4 pages of snagging. They don't respond to emails, and if they do, they don't fix anything. We've had to pay out hundreds for Structural Engineer Reports, and they still don't care. We're living in a house that breaches building regulations, and couldn't sell it if we tried. It wouldn't pass a survey! There needs to be more protection for people buying from these cowboys. So disappointingDO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
