There should be more law enforcements in the town centre area. On our street there have been numerous car break-ins over the 2 years we've been living here and no one has done anything to find the culprits. A car was set on fire, and at least 20 break-ins since last year. There is rubbish everywhere, the broken glass from the cars has been on the street ever since, even in the paid car park which also has a CCTV. It is unnacceptable that no measures have been taken, especially after how much we are paying towards the council.

A big fat 0, councillors vote for just under 5% rise in rents. Obviously this is for pay rises within berneslai homes. Properties are so outdated and in very poor repair. This shower need to be voted out

To people of Barnsley Be careful of enforcement officers in cortonwood and and retail at stairfoot as the council are getting people for tab ends put more bins out in retail places and maybe people will not drop them and who ever drives on Barnsley area roads and there’s pot holes that cause damage to your cars sue them for damages ??? And instead of putting illegal immergrants in hotels give the United Kingdom residents that was born here homes first???

Half emptied my black bins was told to make sure my waste wasn't "stuck" in the bin and "shoved in" (it wasn't) bin collecters are doing half a job. should quicky check people's bins have been emptied for the wage they are on 🙄🤦‍♀️ and dont forget the 1cm bin lid gap rule, oh but we cant squish down our waste lol 😆🤦‍♀️

Just tried to contact Barnsley council only to get automated service, same as all over the place,'we are experiencing huge a mount of calls'; which is a pile of rubbish. They are just talking about what they have done over the weekend and don't give a dam about answering phones. This is the worst council in the UK and the laziest. They tell us we don't have money so have to increase council tax - that is a lie. They have huge amounts of money and plent of assets like land to sell, and income from industrial estates. Ll

Your rating from me has just gone up thanks go to the council's BIN COLLECTOR'S who have just shared our displeasure of shoddy parking by nicely placing bins around a car that blocks access on the street. Many of cars on this street and most park willy nilly with very little 'spacial awareness' or thought for others. Barnsley council is shockingly bad and by far the worst I've ever experienced and I've lived all over the country but today your bin men have done good hahahaha hats off to whomever it was, you gave me a right laugh.

Would give 0 if could. Council tax too high. No green space in town centre. Shut down green space to build more roads. No green ethic modern thinking whatsoever. Stuck in the 1970s with town planning, increasing access to cars with no care for cyclists or pedestrians. So town and the routes in are disgusting to breathe. Try and contact council, they completely blank you. No one gets in touch about complaints. Too many labour councillor fat cats who are out of touch with reality. Only Cllr Peter fielding is the saving grace of this bunch of clowns -he is a good guy who actually listens

Joke of a council. Absolutely useless with everything. Lived in the Barnsley for 18 months and have nothing but rubbish service. Bins are not emptied, 3 times my blue bin has not been emptied, tried to go report it and says service not available. Tried report abandoned car and nothing gets done. Constantly reporting the shocking road services in darfield and nothing is done. This council is the worse I've come across and they need to focus on communication before they do anything else. Complete joke

When you raise a complaint they are more interested in criminalising you and safeguarding their own employees mistakes than actually addressing the complaint. Do not follow their own code of practice from complaints service to CEO. I have been threatened by the council for asking questions about their perceived abuse of power from photographing vunerable children, to recommending products which they have no right to. They do not abide by their own code of practice and will not abide by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The do not identify (again part of their code of practice). Had to report them to the Ombudsman and my local councillor and will now await the course of action from both.

Shocking council my daughter has 3 young children 4 months 2 and 3 . She is in a rented propert and been without heating for 6 weeks in damp conditions . The letting agent have done nothing to get a boiler . The council are not bothered . I have contacted social services not interested . Contacted environmental health won’t even come out to assess . Homeless won’t do anything even tho she has an eviction notice for 22 Feb 19 . Saying it doesn’t stand for housing because the letting agent waited 4 months before registering the bond . The council have land at Thurnscoe selling houses. The land was given to them for the people of Thurnscoe to have affordable council housing . Our next option is to contact the MP and the newspapers . Disgusting

Attended the fair at the weekend and the council where there doing crowd control. What a joke broke up our group if 3 but the que inside was long slow and the venue was evidently grounded. No cleaning if equipment or games even thou there was sanitation stations. Smoking inside and not much face mask wearing absolutely neglected. To many people not enough rides poor value.

Now it's few weeks to our due date and BMBC are sending us this letter... 2 years post pandemic and they still "continue to respond to the pandemic priorities". This is ridiculous... Overall a good council offering all the services that are required of the area and do take pride in the things they do. Also they are engouring the residents of Barnsley to be self sustainable but unfortunately many residents are not bothered then still blame the Council.
