If I could give zero stars or negative
If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I would. From renting the property, collecting the keys, discussing the lease renewal, to the recent issue with rent payments, it has been a complete disaster. When I first viewed the property, I told the agent at Hunter that my current lease was ending soon and I needed to speed up the process of getting the keys. The agent assured me it would be fine and agreed to hand over the keys on Monday. However, I spent the entire Monday chasing them from morning to evening, even going to their office, but still didn’t get the keys. When I arrived at their office, they told me some documents weren’t signed. I couldn’t believe they only realized this after I had to show up in person. The next day, I contacted them again in the morning, and once again, they weren’t ready. It wasn't until late Tuesday, right before their office closed, that I finally got the keys. A year later, when it was time to renew, Hunter told me the landlord agreed not to raise the rent, and I immediately accepted. They sent over the renewal documents, but before I could sign and return them, they called the next day saying the landlord had changed their mind and wanted to increase the rent by £200. I was shocked. How could they go back on their word? Hunter even insisted that the landlord had the right to do so because there were still two weeks before the lease renewal, otherwise, the landlord could end the tenancy. This felt like bullying, but I had no choice but to agree. Yesterday, I received the payment invoice for the renewal, but the amount listed was still the old rent. Since they issued the invoice, I paid the amount stated. Today, they realized their mistake and sent me an email asking for the remaining balance, even rushing me to pay immediately. I was at work at the time, so I couldn’t make the payment right away. Later, Hunter's agency called me, and instead of being polite, they demanded I pay as soon as possible. I told them I was working and couldn’t pay immediately, and that it was their mistake, not mine. They insisted I pay after work, but I had other commitments. I can’t believe they made the mistake but still had such a rude attitude. I will never use this company again, and I hope they go out of business to avoid further damaging the reputation of service companies in the UK.

Hunters Bridlington
Hunters Bridlington Id like to highly recommend Hunters Bridlington. Even though I wasn't a customer as my agent let me down, Beth Jackson has gone above and beyond, she has been amazing in reducing the stress we had purchasing our property. She kept in contact with on on a regular basis, chased our chain which she didn't have to do. If I could give beth and the team at Bridlington 10 stars 🌟 I would. Absolutely outstanding serive and professional through and through. Well done everyone 👏 you are the best.💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✅️

I had Terrible Experience, Avoid at All Costs
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. I paid a deposit for a flat, expecting everything to go ahead as agreed. Not only did they fail to give me the flat, but they also refused to return my deposit. Completely unprofessional and dishonest behaviour. I would strongly advise others to stay away, this is not how business should be done.

Poor customer service
My partner and I are looking to relocate to an area around a 5 hour drive away, we found a property with Hunters and booked a viewing. We loved the property so we asked the agent what to do next and he said email so we can get sent an application form; because we liked the property so much we emailed and called the branch to try and get ahead with our application. No answer from the branch after numerous calls over the period of an hour so we decided to go to the branch instead. After speaking to someone in branch (not part of the lettings team so they couldn't help us) they sent an email over to someone from the lettings department with our profile so they could send us an application form via email. This seems great, two emails, one from us and one internally expressing our interest in the property. However fast forward one week, with nothing from them and more attempts to contact from us, we finally get through to be told that someone that viewed on the same day as us has already completed all the applications and is set to start renting the property. No apologies or anything after explaining the situation and that we'd been trying to get in contact for a week.

Excellent service from Hunters in Leighton Buzzard/Tring
We bought and sold a house with Hunters in Leighton Buzzard/Tring and in all instances their service has been very good. Excellent communication by all staff, especially Caroline and Ian who were both very helpful. As matters got a little tense due to solicitor prevarication, (as is so often the case with house buying and selling), they were very good at getting answers. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Untrustworthy Service and No Accountability
I signed a tenancy agreement with Hunters Harborne, following a viewing conducted by their agent, Ellie, who assured me (both verbally and in writing) that the property would be thoroughly cleaned, and all mould issues addressed before my move-in. Before the move-in date, I sent additional emails stressing the importance of cleanliness and inquired if everything was in order. Ellie once again reassured me that all was well and added that any issues encountered after moving in would be promptly resolved by the landlord. The reality, however, was appalling. Upon entering the property, I was met with dirt, dust, and mould everywhere. The bathroom, kitchen and fridge were in an utterly unhygienic state, with mould and grime covering surfaces. The sofa was filthy full of sand and hair, the bathtub drainage was blocked, and there was no hot water in the bathroom sink with extremely low water pressure. The floors were covered in dust, and the washing machine was filled with mould and sludge. Given the uninhabitable condition of the flat, I was forced to spend my first night in a hotel. When I raised these concerns with Hunters, reminding them of their prior assurances, I received nothing but a hollow apology. On the second day, when I attempted to use the washing machine, I discovered that the wastewater from the machine was being discharged directly into the kitchen sink, utterly unacceptable! Despite countless complaints and insisting that the property was unfit for habitation, Hunters’ only response was, ‘It’s a let-only property; we just facilitate the rental. We know and trust the landlord.’ Eventually, the landlords agreed to terminate the tenancy and refund the rent, leading me to vacate the property immediately. the landlords have been ignoring my messages and emails for over two months. Finally they returned part of the rent after many calls and emails. Throughout this ordeal, Hunters (from the agents to the director) did absolutely nothing to assist, and instead, they went silent and re-advertised the same property for rent!

They couldn’t care less
Would even put this into minus stars if I could. The most awful company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very good in getting you in at first however soon as they have their commission from you they don’t care about you. To start we had to push back as we had agreed a move in date paid for moving van. Kye who was our wonderful (not) estate agent thought it was acceptable to give us a call at 16:00 the day before to say we can’t move in this date. Extractor fan was broke in the property was promised this will be fixed at the start of our tenancy. They decided to send someone to fix this in our last 2 weeks of our agreement. The state of the flat when we moved in was beyond a joke grime on the kitchen top bathroom smelt disgusting was dirty. Carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the flat had been built. Marks all over the walls and blinds. We’re not trying to be overcharged for a cleaning service when the flat was left in 10 times better condition it was left in. Horrible company who don’t care about you after they have their commission. Also abysmal customer service constantly have to chase them for things

Estate agents that don’t care
I enquired about a flat for sale and arranged a viewing. As I would be travelling a distance the first question I asked was regarding pets. The agent said that he would get back to me . Two days later on the afternoon after 4pm I received notification of the forthcoming appointment which was confirmed. I hastily then booked a train ticket only having travelled around 4 hours just pulling up before the train station the agents called to say that pets weren’t allowed. I registered a complaint and am still awaiting a response. The cost of my train ticket was over £100.

Do not use this estate agent
Would not recommend renting through Hunters - no communication, follow up or empathy from anyone here. Day one moved in- Leak all over the living area from a disconnected pipe that hadn’t been checked. Raised floorboards and bloomed worktop- No broadband access- No bins- Vent not fitted correctly in the bathroom(All reported no follow up from Hunters)1 month later - Still no broadband, bins arrive. Had to purchase expensive WiFi dongle in 12 month contract and unable to use electric car charger. - Phone line attachment broken and reported via Opeanreach -Had to chase Hunters for any action to be taken for the wifi for the whole apartment block2 months later- (Some) flats connected to broadband still some flats without wifi - low speed if usable- Our apartment was flooded with sewage water into the bathroom. - £150 to replace damaged bathroom goods - Pipes overflowing and all toilet/shower/sinks/washing machine and dishwasher unusable for 3 days- 3 days OFF work to facilitate fixing issues- Front door lock unstable logged 23rd July no follow up- Vent still hanging down in bathroom3 months in- Storage room ripped up from last month and no follow up from blocked pipes. Waiting to be flooded out- Stinks of sewage- No communication in over 3 weeks Do not care about welfare/lack of customer service. Shocking. I never write negative reviews and genuinely give people a bit of slack but this has been the worst I have experienced.

INCOMPETENT
Hunters listed a rental property two days ago and I had contacted them making an enquiry an hour after it was posted. No response. so I went online and found a book a viewing form and completed it. No response. The next day I emailed asking further about the property. No response. Today no call or no email, no response. So I call up and I am informed that they are fully booked for viewings and they probably wont do another one. Absolutely no communication. Zero customer service. An entirely incompetent estate agents. I had to drag the information out of them and at no stage was I contacted. The entirety of their reviews for 2024 details their utter incapability.

Tamworth branch
Would not recommend this estate agents to anyone, they're unprofessional, Some of the staff are quite rude. Not proactive, they take agesss to reply to whatsapp messages which resulted in losing viewers. They also lied- told me the photographer was on the way 3 times (i chased as he didn't turn up) to which the branch manager turned up 30/40mins later.

Appalling customer service from the…
Appalling customer service from the stoke office and I'm not even one of their tenants, had the misfortune to be involved with a leak from one of their tenants, it took over 6 months to get to the repair stage which when done was really poor workmanship so I'm having to do it myself, the staff are unhelpful and don't care so if they treat third party tenants like that it must be really bad for their own tenants.

We bought a house from Hunters and Elliot was amazing throughout. Very accommodating and communicative throughout. If we ever come to sell our house it would definitely be through them!
