Would personally like to thank Rafi Gamliel at Douglas Martin. We managed to buy a house during the stamp duty holiday and the process was smooth. Extremely professional and friendly service and also really efficient in answering all of our queries for our purchase. I highly recommend Rafi - he showed us the property on the first viewing and took us all the way to the purchase and completion with regular updates. People say buying a house is stressful - but with agents like this, I found the experience to be the opposite. Highly recommend them!

Way to pushy!

I chose not to use Dexters to sell my flat. The amount of hassle I got afterwards is unbelievable. I'm leaving this review as I just received yet another phone call asking if the sale has gone through. This is about the 6th call in 2 months, I have never replied any of them and they are still so pushy and disrespectful. Emails too! @Dexters - I just forwarded an email that I sent to our local Dexters for you.

Douglas Martin has a fantastic and professional team who made the securing and now renting of the current property we occupy an easy and smooth process. We could like to specifically mention Paul, who was friendly, kind and understanding. He went above and beyond the expectation and made the extra effort to ensure we understood what was happening and that any concerns were promptly sorted. Liars

Liars - complete disgrace.St John's Wood branch were selling a flat for my partner, found a buyer who was apparently ready to go, mortgage in place etc. After months of poor communication, they emailed stating the deposit was received and contract had been signed.However, this was found to be completely untrue. No response from the company, the agent is now apparently on leave, and no explanation from management. Months wasted and thousands in lost rent.Avoid at all costs and choose a professional company instead.

Amazing service, highly recommend

The team at Dexters Wimbledon are absolutely brilliant and have been superb in the sale of our house. Simon came out to do the valuation and he was always on hand to help with any advice needed (even down to schools in the new area we are moving!). Billy and Verity have ensured a fast and smooth transition, keeping constant lines on communication and have been really great to enable us to have a really smooth and quick exchange. I was in contact with Izzi and Sam the most and they were very helpful and professional. Sam helped me to chase the solicitor and it was a pleasure to be her client. She was always ready to assist.Deducting one star as I was referred to Leadenhall Law Group by Dexters and I went with their recommendation. The Exchange and Completion were completed on time however, my solicitor never replied to my emails, sometimes that would be for two weeks - even when I asked a question that was vital to my case (like what other information I needed to provide or what would be our time frame). At the end of the case, LLG overcharged me, they even double-charged some items on the bill, and when I raised that with them, they arrogantly told me I did not understand the bill, only to then admit they made a mistake and amended the bill (they overcharged me by approx. 700 GBP, quite a substantial overcharge on a bill of around 2500 GBP).

Nightmare

Absolutely awful. You update one and less than a hour later another will chase for an update. It was apparent that they were not communicating with each other which resulted in sharing similar information with different agents slowing down the process. When communicating information to the agents they will repeat the same questions which clearly showed a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. The agents will also bombard you with a constant influx of emails and phone calls. While I understand the importance of staying informed, the excessive frequency of their communication became overwhelming. It felt as though I was being inundated with updates that could have been consolidated or provided in a more organised manner. This constant barrage of communication often left one extremely frustrated, as it seemed like the estate agent lacked a clear understanding of the conveyancing process and time it takes to buy a house as there is often more parties involved. Agents also had a habit of agreeing to things with out communicating the same, this lack of consultation only caused further problems. Liz widdicombe was a nightmare to deal with, ever heard of personal space? You must not have many friends considering how you blow up peoples phones and inboxes if they do not respond to you straight away. It was very obvious the agents lacked understanding of a property transaction and was apparent that they were just greedy for the commission no regard for the those involved in the process.
