Whilst we sold through Dexters Hendon we had to take a massive loss to the original valuation. If I hear ever again “your house is only worth what someone wants to pay” I will go and make a ridiculous offer!! We asked George to be upfront and honest in his appraisal and he assured us he was giving us a true valuation more than once. Yet within 2 weeks he called and asked us to drop £75000! Yes £75000 it just so happens that Dexters have meetings and in those KPI (key performance indicators I have been told this by someone who used to work for them , they need to get the price down. As we had found the house we wanted we ended up dropping £100,000 . There is nothing in my opinion honest about the valuation initially given by George, they just want the commission and that is it, I wonder why estate agents have the reputation they do. I would strongly take anything they say with a pinch of salt quite frankly I can’t say what I think on here. George simply did not care about us, and that’s my opinion. Disgusting. Stay clear if you are selling unless you are prepared to drop massively very quickly.

Dexters Tooting are brilliant

We just sold our home with Dexters Tooting and they were incredible from start to finish. I was wary about estate agents generally but Dexters quashed all my doubts immediately. They offered us a very competitive valuation and a great rate and they were so quick to set up photos and organise viewings. The sales team were courteous and informative throughout when organising viewings - giving us plenty of notice and being very communicative. Big shout out to Margaux who managed our sale and Esta who progressed our sale with the solicitors - incredible communication and speed throughout the process. Dexters Tooting are giving estate agents a great name - would recommend in a heartbeat!

I purchased a property with Dexters Westbourne Grove recently and the general experience was a nightmare for both myself and the agents. I worked with Charlie who was FANTASTIC - he actually managed to save the sale at one point through amazing negotiation skills. I feel like Charlie went above and beyond to get this deal through and he kept me up to date regularly even outside of office hours which I was extremely grateful for. When the time comes to sell this property I will be calling Charlie specifically to handle it :)

Worst experience with the agency

Worst experience with the agency, I decided to move out the apartment earlier because living conditions were unbearable. As such early tenancy move outs require a penalty, I was told by an agent a sum and that it is a fixed amount regardless if they will find a new tenant or I will, the total sum stays the same.Come to find out 2 months later that this in fact was not true and I could’ve saved almost 2K if I found a tenant myself. Agent was denying ever saying those terms to me to the point it was easier to pay the sum than start the negotiations with big agency. Would not recommend to use them or be very careful with every communication and have it crystal clear via emails.

Superb Team at the Tooting Branch!

The Tooting branch have been excellent from start to finish with the sale of my Grandmother's house. It was a very tough period of time for myself and had felt very daunting. From the day I met with Gaz and worked through the sale alongside Esta and team they have been so supportive, professional and all round superb. The team are very down to earth and provide an excellent service. Esta has been fantastic and kept me up-to-date at all stages throughout, which made this process a smooth transaction. They just don't care

Everything was fine and then we moved in. Loads of issues loads of non working or non closing doors. The fridge that was supposed to be replaced has never been replaced. All the emails have been ignored and no maintenance work has been done. Leaking roof makes living in 1 room impossible but the emails are being ignored. Calling them you only get a question how bad is it??? What do you mean how bad is it??? So for over a year there has not been any help from them. But they expect you to jump as soon as they need something. I hope its only this branch that is so incompetent and others are better.....
