Run from ONeill Sherry Fitz in Bantry

Run from O'Neill Sherry Fitz Bantry, especially Olivia Hanafin and Ray O'Neill. They are total crooks and wasted 7 months of our lives including E13K in expenses. They falsely advertise homes for sale and when you discover issues through surveys and inspections they act like they know nothing. Once we were no longer under sale agreed they put Slinneadoir in Glengarriff back on the market with the same issues knowing full well another victim will fall prey to their lies. Totally unprofessional, unreliable and crooked! There's better agents out there in the area you can trust. Don't let these cheats take you down a rabbit hole.

10/10 experience dealing with Con and Linda. I had viewed a few properties over the past 6-12 months with Con and his approach every time was very honest. There was no false promises or dodgy sales techniques. Just an honest approach to the property with an excellent knowledge of other properties in the vicinity, the people living in the area and recent market trends. Throughout the bidding process, Con was very honest and upfront about everything I felt I knew where I stood at every stage. When it came to the closing of the sale he was always there when needed also. Con and Linda were always there if I needed access to the property for reports, etc and most importantly were always a pleasure to deal with. Too many times I ended up just getting stuck having a chat with everyone because of their friendly nature. As a purchaser, couldn't recommend them highly enough.

When we set out on our home buying journey I was poorly prepared for what a difficult and stressful thing to do it can be. The one person that has stood out throughout the whole process is Linda. Her kindness, patience and most of all her willingness to offer her expertise to all aspects of the home buying process has been invaluable, and without her I would have almost given up! I’ve lost count of the number of times she has given clarity to what would have otherwise been an issue I had no understanding of. And that goes far beyond her role as an auctioneer. As an investor,developer and home owner I am hugely impressed by Liz Ryan of Sherry Fitzgerald's Phibsborough branch. I am more knowledgeable than most about the property market so can speak with experience and say that she is one of the best agents in the city. Liz is honest, professional, incisive, informative and empathic. She has a great knowledge of the Dublin 7 market. She offers no false hopes in order to get the business and is spot on in her predictions. She appeals to both buyers and sellers. As a seller I am impressed at how well she relates to buyers, always keeping all bidders on board, as often the highest bidder may pull out. When it happened in my case Liz assured me in her calm manner that it wasn't going to be an issue. I was especially impressed by the sensitivity Liz showed in selling the family home after my mother's death. Liz has handled two sales for me and I would have no hesitation in recommending her highly.

Horrible experience renting with them

Horrible experience renting with them. I visited the apartment that had faulty balcony door, which they said would be fixed before I move in. It was not fixed, the house was extremely dirty with food residue in the fridge, many light bulbs not working (they fixed it after a week). Right now, more than 2 weeks after moving in, the balcony door is still not fixed. I’ll never rent with them again.

Long-Term Tenants - Excellent Service

This company is amazing especially Mark Lawlor. They sold my house quickly and efficiently. It was really easy to catch Mark on the phone for any queries. He did a great job in getting the best price for my house whilst having great integrity by giving transparent information both to me and to the buyers. He guided me and provided excellent advice from start to finish. I give Sherry Fitzgerald 5 stars and will definitely use them in the future. They are a little dearer than other companies but it's worth it for a seamless service. I got a valuation from another company for the same house and they valued it €105k lower than what Sherry Fitzgerald valued it at and obtained so Sherry Fitzgeralds valuations are more accurate.

We sold a house in Galway with Sherry…

We sold a house in Galway with Sherry Fitz. I really regret choosing them. We did had some bad luck. The agent had an illness mid way the sale and then another agent had to sell it who'd no interest as, our property was small. But also, their process is to only do viewings twice a week. If people couldn't make those viewings they wouldn't show them the house. It definitely didn't show the house to all those who might have been interested. The second agent didn't follow up with several people who'd shown interest, despite me asking if she did. Over all, there far better agents in Galway who are flexible and will do more work to show your house. Before you sell, contact a few agents as if you are buying and see how easy the make it to view a house etc. Wish I'd done that.

Honestly, we had such a good experience with this branch of Sherry Fitz. We bought a house through Con and sold our own house through Olivia. Muriel and Linda helped us as well in the office. They were all great to deal with and obviously knowledgeable. Moving house was a very stressful time for us, with lots going on. The only part that was not stressful was the Sherry Fitz part. Also, and maybe most importantly, we succeeded in getting the price we wanted for our house, and succeeded in buying the house we really, really wanted. I’m not sure any of this would have happened without the excellence of service from Sherry Fitz. Expertise aside, it was just a very pleasant experience overall. We hope to get to meet Con, Olivia, Linda & Muriel outside of the buying/selling process and get to know them better as friends in general. That probably says it all really, in terms of the experience we had.
