GoogleBe careful if using this business, they may leave you without heating in freezing conditions when the boiler breaks in a private rented home. And allow black mould to ravish through the property through structural Damage, take no action and turn the issue on the tenant time and time again. They blatantly tell lies regarding smoke alarm test visits and try and charge you extra. My advice, look somewhere else.

GoogleI very rarely leave reviews, however, my recent experience with Dunlop has left a bitter taste in my mouth so...I rented a retail premises for 5 years from Dunlop, as well as renting a residential property for a couple of years alongside this. I ended up owing a large amount of money to Dunlop after my relationship ended with my then partner. The shop wasn't open for months and I continued to accrue rent. At the time, Dunlop was very accommodating and I worked alongside them to clear the debt. I have all the emails to prove this. Recently, I have used Dunlop as a reference for a residential property, given I was with them for a number of years, and felt I was upfront and honest with them in my dealings. I had previously asked if I may use them as a future reference, to which they had replied "of course". Yesterday I received a phone call from a potential landlord who queried the reference they had received. This landlord informed me that Dunlop had stated "the tenant owed a substantial amount of money, and there was noise complaints regarding a male in the property upstairs, but we can't divulge any further". Quite possibly the most unprofessional reference I've ever heard of. The potential landlord commented on the bizarre nature of this reference. I explained the ACTUAL situation as it was, confirming the balance had been cleared and I believed I had left the property on good terms with Dunlop. I stated that noise complaints from a male living in the property upstairs surely have nothing to do with the business downstairs. I even had an email from Heather, thanking me for leaving the property in such good condition! Unfortunately the staff at Dunlop have little to no emotional intelligence. As is often the way with some Bangor Town folk, they are incapable of succumbing to the dark clutches of petty gossip and slander. I have to say I am quite shocked that Heather and Joanne at Dunlop are incapable of maintaining a professional stance when it comes to providing references. Thankfully, my potential landlord saw through their poisonous comments and offered me the property. I am currently on a dark journey whereby I am personally paying for all my misdemeanours and wrongdoings - Dunlop would do well to allow people to get on with doing that, without this malicious defamation of character. Unprofessional, unkind, emotionally immature - avoid at all and any costs.
