Very strange behaviour from this company. We viewed a house near Atherstone on Saturday and put an offer in (at asking price) to be told they would come back to us on Monday. Straight after I received an email from the estate agent asking me to leave them a 5 star review on here and that they would get a personal bonus if I did so. I'm certainly not against helping people out where I can but the person really just followed us round the property and didn't actually know much about it. I'm also fairly sure asking specifically for a 5 star review is against policy on nearly all review sites.We heard nothing back on Monday and when I called to chase on Tuesday they told me the property had already been sold on Saturday (the day we viewed) and we should have been told... presumably by them?! When I asked them to put in a higher offer they said they were fairly sure the vendor wouldn't accept now (they had a cash buyer but I assume most sellers would still want to be made aware of other offers) and were more interested in knowing if I was planning on selling my own property. A really disappointing experience all round.

We were certainly not timely on this occasion, and apologise for any frustration caused.Unfortunately, the property you viewed was extremely popular and attracted a number of offers. When you called for an update, we had just completed the due diligence on an offer that was proceedable and were in the process of informing the others who had offered that they were unsuccessful. Our client was aware of all offers and this was the one they wished to go ahead with. There are many motivations for people to sell, and in this particular case, the sellers were happy with the offers they received and we acted upon their instructions. We wish you every luck with your property search and offer our apologies that the request for a review was handled incorrectly.

We have just sold our house with Howkins & Harrison and could not fault their professional approach to all the aspects of the selling procedure.We received a realistic valuation, and the photography was excellent, which looked great online.We obtained numerous viewings and offers due to this great marketing by Howkins & Harrison.Albeit the first sale fell through, we received continued excellent assistance from all the team and we really felt that they cared about selling your property for you. Hence, we felt that a first-class service was provided from beginning to the final conclusion.A very polite and friendly Company, and the epitome of good old fashioned customer service, which is a very rare commodity. They did not disappoint and have kept up the superb standards of years ago. The whole team worked very hard through ups and downs to get the job done.
