GoogleOne of the worste experiences I've ever had when fealing with a company or so called professionals.
Was a tenant for 2 years and sharing for the first with another tenant. After a serious issue involving police and him vacating the property he was to be removed from my tenancy.
I was informed I would have to take on the tenancy myself and it needed to be secured ASAP due to my safety. This in fact never happened as the tenancy then given to me was dated wrong and un signed.
I had several issues at the property but always dealt with them myself and have given invoices and such and never asked for it to be taken from my rent or so on.
Was due to move out on 4th June and on the 3rd had a move out inspection by Mitchell who stayed in front of three other people there was no issues with cleaning, or decoration.
I put in for my deposit to be returned to find out the previous tenant is still on my deposit as the lead tenant. On top of that I received email after email about future problems found two days after I left.
There was a bed left inside which was my mistake but when realised I offered every possible solution to fix it. From going myself to remove the bed to even re decorating. They decided to shut down all communication and claim back all of my deposit.
I have all communication with them, proof that they never changed my tenancy or removed the previous tenant from my deposit. When asked for a copy of my move out inspection completed infront of three people Mitchell decided to stop communication.
Now they are tying up all my deposit for matters that are and were easily rectified.
This has not been on going since June will no resolution.

Dear Sam,
We do have a signed and valid tenancy agreement for you as a sole tenant. You can email our office to request a copy. We can also provide you with a copy of the move out inspection at that time. The deposit did stay in a joint name, but that is because the deposit was lodged as a joint tenancy and both parties are entitled to it.
When the move out inspection was conducted, you stated you were in the process of cleaning and decorating, so we made the assumption that the flat would be improved. It was stated that if you clean there would be no issues. After you handed back the keys, the flat was exactly as you left it. You left your couches, a bed, a table and chairs, a vacuum cleaner, and clothes in the washing machine. The flat had been decorated before you moved in, and unfortunately the decoration that you undertook was not to a decent standard.
We had tried to contact you, but our emails bounced back to us due to insufficient storage from your email account when we contacted you after the 19th of June. We could not wait indefinitely to rectify the issues. The dispute regarding your deposit is going through Safe Deposits Scotland. They have their procedures and timeline, which unfortunately is not quick. We also did not claim back all of your deposit, but we did claim back the majority of it for the removal of furniture, cleaning and decorating invoices we received.
I hope that this satisfies your complaint. Please email for a copy of your tenancy agreement and move out inspection.
