GoogleVery terrible experience with this agency. No respect to potential tenant. During viewing I was asked to remove shoes, which I find logical since I am not walking around my own house with shoes on and I understand that landlord might not want dirt from outside in his/hers property. However property was just finished and floor was full of post construction dust. Lady from this letting agency was already provided with shoe covers, while my socks were collecting all this dust just to dirty my shoes inside. When I have decided to apply to a property, they have kept me disinformed whether or not I can move in, made qualifying tournament type situation treating this like some kind of free of charge reward to the chosen one lucky to live in such property. Later on nobody bothered to contact me on time that was given to me as time of decision whether I qualified or not. The lady that I was taken "care" of had some sort forced politeness and very negative body language. Next week from appointed time I was contacted by a gentleman who stated that I did not qualify providing no reason. The thing I wonder now is whether this situation with decision and attitude was because I am foreign. I would like to also point that I did not even qualify to referencing stage so I can't even tell what was wrong with me. Was it my name? Last name? Date of Birth? Nationality? It felt like I was too primitive foreigner to live in their "modern residence", and kept me as reserve in case nobody worthy would appear.

GoogleI sent two emails about a property for sale, one asking for more details and another to arrange a viewing. Neither got a reply. I noticed a day or two later that the property was sold so clearly the agent couldn't be bothered to let me know.

We had a conversation with your UK representative about a viewing on the same afternoon and informed them that the property had been sold. It is reasonable of us to assume you were in dialogue with them and that this information would be relayed to you. The property was subsequently marked Sold STC on the same day. We understand that you are disappointed that you missed out on this property, however, we are selling property very quickly, often achieving in excess of the asking price. Jamie Evans dealt with my property, he is a credit to Billingham Taylor. He was proactive in dealing with the sale, he didn't let it fall behind at any point. He was never too busy to deal with any of my enquiries, and explained every stage in language that I could not understand. Couldn't recommend them more, I would definitely use Billingham Taylor again if the situation arose.

GoogleI have recently brought and sold my house through Billingham Taylor (Dudley Branch) Our main point of contact was Kelly Davies the Senior Sales Negotiator. From start to finish the service has been impeccable. We registered our interest with them for properties and Kelly notified us as soon as a house was due to come on the market, she was extremely helpful in making the process as smooth and easy as possible. The team kept in constant communication throughout, I would highly recommend them.

To sell my house, I contacted the Dudley branch, and straight away was entered into a very professional, friendly experience with lots of smiles. Jamie Evans dealt with my sale, he proved to be excellent throughout the process . Kelly and the other Jamie were always there to help if he was unavailable. I must also mention John who moved to Stourbridge branch who had a big hand in the early part of the sale. Thanks to you all for making my first ever house sale pleasurable. I would not hesitate in using them again in the future, and will strongly recommend them to others.

GoogleMoved in with no shower. unable to use fridge or washing machine as faulty ones were hard wired in the wall. Spent £2000 recarpetting the house - told deposit to be released but took £75 for 'exit fee' as well as nearly £700 on relisting. Terrible - save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Dear Richard Lardner & Lock Key, Further to your review we feel viewing the public should be made aware that YOU engaged our services to seek new tenants in order that YOU could prematurely break YOUR obligations towards the landlord. ALL FEES WERE AGREED IN ADVANCE, the property was LET PROMPTLY and YOU SAVED IN EXCESS OF £2000 in rental payments, council tax and utilities. YOU took it upon yourselves to re-carpet the property at YOUR own expense. YOU chose to leave the fireplace at the property. A checkout fee is common place within the letting industry. Our fees are advertised with every property listing and displayed in our offices. YOU SIGNED AND AGREED ALL FEES PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR TENANCY. The reason for the 3 day void period was to carry out final inspection, landlord inspection and new inventory. You were aware of this. Maintenance issues arising at the start of / during the tenancy were reported and dealt with promptly. It is not valid to complain about Billingham Cooke for the decisions taken by yourselves, at your own expense.
